So, who is he? What's his role in the sonic universe?

I'm asking because he's on the guild's home page and I figured I should find out who he is.

mighty the armdillo is from a really old sonic game
called chaotix
the main character was knucles with the 4 team members of chaotix
and one of them was the good armadillo
