Morph wandered through the stalls of the market, taking in the scents and sounds. Morph often walked when he wanted to think. The general hubbub always stimulated his thoughts. Lazy he may be, but his mind was always going. And going it was. While his feet may have been walking an aimless path, his mind was abuzz with... well, her.
Aranyani.
He was intrigued to say the least. Morph almost never got worked up over anything. Save for playing his guitar and a good nap, not much really worked up his emotions. Aranyani was new, exciting... exotic, almost. If anything, he just wanted to get to know her better… and maybe see her dance just once.
Climbing up a drain pipe, Morph jumped off onto an awning that jutted out from the side of a building, and settled himself on the edge overlooking the thoroughfare. Pulling out his guitar, he began to play the tune he created for Aranyani, embellishing it in places when the mood took him. To Morph, music was more than just pretty sounds; it was an extension of the soul. You could say anything through music, in ways so much more intricate than words.
Lost in thought, Morph’s fingers danced over then strings of his guitar, weaving in and out with the melody.

Aranyani had been walking along the roof of a building watching all the people. She stopped and watched them move around with busyness. She wondered what all the people here did that made them so busy, she had never seen her master be so busy in the house before. She frowned and then moved along. She hadn't been able to keep her thoughts still all night cause she was only hearing Morpha's song he had been playing in her head. She had closed her eyes at night and had heard it haunting her thoughts all night in a good way. She wanted to dance to it so bad but had had to leave before she could the other night.
She jumped down onto a landing and started to walk along the side of the building and heard music. Wonderful music! She froze and closed her eyes as she listened to the passion in the music. She poked her head around the corner and saw Morpha, playing his guitar again, making the most wonderful music she had heard not coming out of the picture box. She stood and walked out behind Morpha and began to dance while he played, hoping that if he saw her he wouldn't stop. She swayed her hips with a flip of her tail as she flared her arms out to her side and spun around and began to slide her hips from side to side with the music. She spun again leaning back to let her arms touch the ground and then flipped over and landed on her feet, turning in another spin as she swayed her hips faster flaring her arms above her head as she danced with her eyes mostly closed, just open enough so she could make sure that she didn't run into Morpha or fall off the landing. As she began to feel the end of the song she spun around more, her arms out to the side as she smiled. When the song was over she smiled over at Morpha, breathing just a little heavier from her dancing. Her eyes alight with happiness as she walked over and sat next to him and smiled, her tail still swishing happily. "That was an amazing song! Very beautiful!" she said with a smile as she looked at him.

After a while Morph was aware of movement behind him; the gentle clink of a collar and a rhythmic swishing. So as not to disturb whomever was dancing behind him, though he desperately hoped he was right about who it was, he slowly rotated around and sat cross-legged to watch.
"Oh, wow..."
Morph's eye's widened and he felt his heart skip a beat. If playing hadn't been almost second nature to him, he was sure he would have stopped altogether. There was Ara, dancing and swaying to his music, moving with it and adding to it a song all of her own. He gazed at her until he realized that he had almost played thought the same verse twice without thinking.
Deftly picking back up from his slight hiccup, he continued with the melody, playing as Ara danced about the awning. Never before had anyone danced to anything Morph had played, and to see his music expressed in such a beautiful and vibrant way as this, Morph was speechless. The minutes seemed to stretch on into eternity, and he drank in her movements. When Morph felt the end of the song coming, he very much so didn't want it to end, but neither of them could go on forever, so, finishing with a flourish, he set the guitar on his lap.
He grinned brightly as she sat next to him. "Thank you. You're quite amazing yourself." Morph shook his head in wonder. "I find myself lacking in words to accurately describe how..." He fished for the right word, "beautiful that was." He was still gazing at her in some amount of awe, and his heart was giddy at this wonderful spectacle of a second meeting.

Ara smiled not able to feel embarrassed about his complement, though she felt her heart flutter for some reason though as she thought about how happy she was to make him happy with her dancing. She looked up at him with a smile as she curled her tail about her self. "Thank you for that song! It was beautiful as well. I love dancing! It makes me feel so alive!" she said with a smile as she flicked her tail over and touched his side with it softly. She wondered if he was ok with how close she was sitting to him and hoped that she was doing this right...she wasn't sure how flirting worked really. "What brings you here to the gathering of people down there?" she asked softly as she looked at him with a smile.

"I feel the same way about music. Its... to me, music is an extension of the soul." Morph smiled back at her and turned around to look down at the people below. He people watched for a while, musing about the people walking by; their life, their dreams, their passions. Suddenly he felt a soft sensation on his side which sent a warm shiver up and down his side. He closed his eyes briefly and smiled before looking over at her. Her tail was lightly touching his side. He swished his fluffy tail gently before curving it against hers. "What brings me out here? Well, I go walking a lot. A lot. It usually depends on what I'm looking for; if I want rest, I'll go walking in the park, if i want to think, I'll go here, among the noise and bustle. It... focuses me, in a way. I came here to think...well, to figure out what exactly i was thinking." Morph really had no idea what he was doing in flirting, but he was finding complete honesty, with a decent measure of complements was doing quite well. He just hoped that he didn't completely and utterly mess things up.

Aranyani smiled softly and nodded as she looked at the people too, curling her tail about his a little more. "I like to watch alot of things. Lots of people and birds. I spent a few hours watching some ants gather leave bits the other day." She said before looking over at him, her head tilted to the side with a smile. "Noise helps you focus? I can only focus when i dance or when i curl up to sleep." she said with a smile. She looked down at their tails curled together and smiled softly, happiness in her eyes. "What were you thinking about?" she asked with a smile as she looked back up at his face, staring into his eyes.

Morph laughed. "Yeah... it sounds kind of odd when you say it like that, but yes, it does. Noise... sort of wakes me up... Gets my brain moving more." When she entwined her tail more with his, his heart was thumping quite pleasantly. He stared back into her brilliantly green eyes and smiled happily.
"Well..." He picked up her paw and kissed it gently. Then he looked back up into her eyes. "I was thinking about you."

Ara smiled happily as he kissed her paw and scooted closer, nuzzling his neck with a loud purr. "Really? Why would you think about me...i'm not special." she said looking up at him. She had never thought that she was worth someones time, except her brothers cause well...he was her brother so why wouldn't he think about her and wonder if she was safe. But...what did this new male that she didn't know that well want to think about her. Though she had been thinking about him alot since the first time they saw eachother. She didn't know why she was thinking about him so much but...she didn't mind thinking about him alot.

Morph purred back happily and chuckled. "Not special?" Morph said incredulously. "Lets see. You dance...amazingly, you look lovely, how are you not special? You... the first time i saw you, I had to get to know you. I mean, your name, Aranyani: its exotic, its special." He gestured at her, giving her word right back to her. Morph slid his arm around her shoulder and rested his head lightly on hers.
"I was named Morpheus after the Greek god of dreams because I was always so mellow and calm. When Mir gave me my guitar, it sparked a passion in me, a love for something in life. When i saw you for the first time, it sparked something similar." Morph smiled, and his heart swelled. "And when you danced... It... the spark...blossomed... You're amazing."
Morph looked into Ara's eyes and smiled warmly.

Ara didn't know this...feeling she had in side her as he spoke. She wondered if this was...love. She looked down at their tails again, still twined together. He thought she was special...amazing! She looked up at him and snuggled into his side happily. "When i heard you play it made me want to dance so badly. Ive never wanted to dance so badly to music before in my life. The way you play is amazing!" she said as she licked his cheek with a smile. "I'm named after the Hindu goddess of the forest and animals but she loved to dance so my owner named me after her cause i loved being in the yard and i love dancing." She looked up at him and smiled. "So...you like me?" she asked softly.

Morph smiled at her compliment, the warm feeling in his chest growing bigger. He was the happiest he could ever remember being right at this moment. If there was any other way to feel, Morph didn't want to know. "Your name is very fitting."
He rubbed his forehead against hers and looked into her eyes.
"In a word, yes. I do. Very much so."
He smiled happily at her, their eyes only a few inches away from each other.

Ara looked into his eyes as her heart flipped about in her chest. She...she liked him too. Thats what this feeling was! It had to be a million times stronger then her feelings for her brother. "Really. You truly like me?" she asked. She wasn't sure quite what to do about having someone like her who wasn't her brother but she was very glad about it. "Cause i think i like you...Very much as well." she said with a smile as she looked away for a moment as she placed her hand on his and then looked back into his pretty green eyes and nuzzled her forehead against his as well.

Morph smiled softly and tilting his head slightly, he kissed her gently. Pulling back slightly, he smiled again. "I'm glad."
if only this moment could last forever... that would be nice [[sorry for the shortness... not much to say... and it is a short moment]]

Ara gasped a little as he kissed her. She froze as he mind went blank and she had to force herself to remember to breathe. She looked up at him and smiled softly as she kissed him back. "Thank you. It makes me glad to know i made you glad." she said as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly as she nuzzled his chest and purred happily. She didn't want to ever leave this spot.

Morph wrapped his arms around her and held her close, purring loudly and happily. Their combined purring carried down to the people below. A little walking with her mother, pulled at her mothers hand, pointing at the two cats. The stall owner below them smiled to himself and continued storing his wears. A young couple noticed Morph and Ara and then shared a smile and kiss. But all of this went unnoticed by Morph. All that mattered to him was the girl in his arms and the song in his heart.
