To celebrate EEW Drown's first anniversary, YOU can post your characters own Drown retrospective here as well! Obviously it'll help if you're on Drown or have been around since it's inception but was drafted over last month!
But hey, even if you have never appeared on Drown, you can add your two cents! Maybe discussing memorable events from your own characters perspective etc!

(( Travis Nightsky knows Drown very well! biggrin ))
Travis Nightsky is shown outside the arena under a streetlight, kneeling down with his back rested against the wall. He looked up at the light, then back at the camera. "You know, it's been just over a year since I made my EEW debut at One Night Stand in 2008... I remember the crowd, I remember how they cheered for me as I came through that curtain. I couldn't even hear myself think because they were so happy to see me. But that doesn't even compare to the reaction of the crowd during my first appearance on Drown." A grin stretched across his face. "That was the greatest moment of my life. I hadn't made an appearance on live television in 2 years. I was so anxious and scared before I stepped out onto that stage but once I was infront of all those people I felt at peace with everything, like I was home again or something."
Travis took this time to light a cigarette, and drag off of it for dramatic effect. "I joke around and I kid a lot, but if there's one thing that will always be serious in my eyes it's my own purpose. Since I made my home on Drown, even though I was a free agent, it was the pathway that took me up the ranks here in EEW. I had a lot of great moments on Drown, like EEW's first-ever boxing match. Mr. Barker was very helpful in helping me reach any goals I had, which wasn't asking for much because we both had the same goal at the time: Destroy Nuke Fusion." Travis stopped, staring off in reflection. "And no matter what I got into on Drown, my own purpose became more clear with time. I have done my best to give the crowd what they deserve, and they've shown me the light. My purpose is them. Whether I end up on Drown again, or stay on Burn, the one thing that won't change is my love and appreciation for Drown and helping me start my journey again."
That being said, Travis stood up and walked off out of view of the camera.
(( Now I'd like to throw in my own Retrospective of Drown and it's first year. I wasn't really around before Drown even existed. Though honestly, I can't picture EEW without it. Drown is great. I haven't payed much attention to it since Nightsky got moved over to Burn, but I vow to do so more in the future. Especially since a lot of great people ended up there after the draft. My time on Drown was way fun, it was a great way to start off my time here in EEW, and I'm happy to have been part of the elite squad that kicked the show off! wink EEW was the first guild I joined after I made my glorious return to Gaia, and I think Drown was the best place to have me. There are some outstanding people to work with on Drown. I thought the first-ever boxing match with Nuke Fusion was a pretty interesting work, and it proved to be just that. Though that's probably the extent of my impact on Drown (First-ever boxing match. WIN!). I'd be more than happy to join back on Drown if I should be drafted eventually, or if I end up in a storyline situation to do so. 3nodding ))

-In Character Retrospective goes here-
((Out of Character Retrospective: Before Drown came around, everyone was basically jumbled up on Burn. A lot of people didn't get booked because... Well, Cart had to keep up with so much that he would forget about those that weren't in the main event/upper card. (For example, Mystique rarely got a match.) At first, when the second brand idea was presented, I didn't think it would be a good idea because a lot of places that went with two brands ended up going downhill. (For example, DCW. But it came back as a 1 brand show, so it's good now.) I was quickly proven wrong though, since it all ended up balancing out. Plus, it helped get a lot of good people off of Speed and onto the main brands. This also got a lot of deserving people into the Main Event, since usually the Main Event was taken up on Burn. Everyone basically took a step-up when Drown came around. The Upper-Card went towards the Main Event more, Mid-Card went up to Upper-Card on Drown, and some of those Speeders finally got to be with the Greats. Thank you Cartwright for making my two years in EEW so great, and thank you making Drown. You gave a lot of us a chance to be in the spotlight, and I'm sure we all appreciate it.))
