Darcy was becoming impatient, as was perusual. She was sitting on her rock, waiting for someone called.. what was it again? Syrelia to arrive. She opened her mouth to ask a question, but her brother interupted her. (Politely, it is true.)
"Before you ask, I'm sure Jaella found the right house. She always does." He said, waiting patiently. He was watching the enterence of the cave, as if to make sure the person they were waiting for got there safely. "At least there's no storm tonight--like last time." He pointed out optimistically. "She'll be here soon."

Syrelia picked her way up through the rocks carefully, watching her footing as she went. The weather was nice and clear, the moon shining full and bright onto the Durem landscape below, but one never knew if there was some hole lurking in the shadows of the rocks, waiting to catch one's foot.
The letter she had received was strange, delivered by an even stranger teenage girl. How had the kid known her name? How had the kid even known where she lived for that matter? But Syrelia had lived enough years (even for not looking it) to know that when weirdness came knocking -- literally, even -- that it was best to answer the call before it popped up and surprised you even more. At least it was polite this time.
Shaking a hand through her bright orange hair and letting out a dainty cough as she tried to catch her breath (she would take her broom next time, no doubt about it), Syrelia surveyed the two... kids, great... in front of her. "Er. Knock-knock?"

"Ms. Ind, I assume?" Darcy asked, climbing down from her rock gracefully. For a moment, she looked like she was going to say more to the woman--instead, she bent down and looked at her stomach. "Good. These two look healthy." She stated.
"Good evening, Ms. Ind." Aaron said politely, with a soft smile. He tried to repair his sister's blunt, and in his opinion, rude behavior. "Take a seat if you wish." He gestured to the rock he'd been perched on.

The witch put a hand protectively over her stomach, an unconscious gesture at the girl's words. Syrelia had only found out herself not too long along that she was pregnant and it had come as a surprise -- she practiced care and caution, but something must have slipped up and even she didn't know she was carrying twins, at least not until this moment.
Grey eyes narrowed a fraction and she took the offered seat with a thin, though not unkind smile. "Thank you very much." She paused for a moment, unsure of how to continue before just taking the blunt route, "You'll have to excuse me, but... what do you want with me?" The woman almost asked 'and them?' in reference to her unborn children, but bit her tongue against it, as well as a million other questions.

Darcy stood up, and seemed to think about the woman's question before responding. "To meet you, of course." She said. Great, now she was sounding like Aaron. "And to see how they're coming along. You've done well with them so far." She said, with a smile. "I'm sure you know a bit more about keeping track of your projects than the previous two?"
Aaron frowned at his sister. There--she was doing it again. Being blunt and confusing the future mother. "What she means is--we're here to answer your questions. I'm sure you have some."

Blink blink. Poor Syrelia, she was definitely confused, but she did her best not to show it. The hand over her stomach still hadn't moved, seeming to try to keep the two within safe from the strange children before her.
"Alright..." Syrelia took a deep breath. "Who are you, exactly? How did you know about it -- them. How did you know about them?" Two babies. At least according to the girl.

"My name is Darcy Azoulai, this is my brother, Aaron." She gestured to the boy. "As for that...How do you know about your creations? Your spells? You are a witch, are you not?" Darcy asked. "We made them--I made them." She corrected herself.
Aaron shook his head at his sister. "She means to say that your children have been blessed. Chosen, for you to be their mother. As with our other--" He paused, and had to start over. "As with the other children, you might find them to have unique talents and skills."

Syrelia couldn't help herself and snorted a laugh. "I am a witch, yes, but I didn't use a spell to find out. I peed on a stick. Pregnancy test. I was vomiting the other morning and..." She waved a hand with a shrug, realizing she had entered TMI territory. It really had been only just the other day she had found out, not even having time to schedule a doctor's appointment, but the thought that Darcy -- a child -- had made them..? Absurd. Absolutely absurd.
"Bless me. With children. Why? For what purpose?" And then her face twisted in a grimace. "There are more?"
The witch was taking it surprisingly well for the moment. Mostly because she was in shock. Hurrah for shock!

Darcy was silent for a while, and gave the witch nuetral glance. "That is not what I meant." She said. "As a witch, you cast spells. You know which spell you've cast where, correct? It is the same with us. We know." Though, she wouldn't admit that her knowing was with the help of Jaella.
The twins exchanged a look. "We granted a wish. Somewhere." Aaron explained. "Three more that we know of." He said, with a pause. "More letters are being put out tonight--you are bound to meet up with someone of them--playmates for your two boys."

"Boys..?" She was having boys. Twin boys. Something twisted in her stomach -- excitement or maybe another wave of nausea left over from this morning -- but whatever it was, it made her uncomfortable. "You've cast a spell on my... boys. Or granted a wish?"
Syrelia passed a hand over her face, trying to sort things out through her brain. Kneading knuckles into her forehead, she glanced at the two, mostly focusing on Darcy. Aaron seemed the less dangerous of the two, going by the kind way that he was acting. "Alright. Let's start over. You've blessed my children with some sort of spell, yes? And there are others?"

"Yes, boys." Darcy said. "We thought.. we would even out the score." She explained, or tried to. "The other children, the twins, and the other--they're girls." She paused, and looked to her brother. What was he thinking? They didn't grant wishes!
"It's not exactly a spell." Darcy said. "I don't believe you would be able to comprehend what we've done--so let's leave it at that. You are having two healthy, talented boys."
Aaron interrupted. "We assure you that we've meant no harm, with what we've done. We've given the children the best possible home--yours."

"But you've still tampered with my children. My children." It mattered a lot that the two of them were still healthy; that was the most important thing, but Syrelia felt a flare of anger nonetheless.
She drew herself up, sitting stiffly against the rock and regarding Aaron and Darcy with something akin to contempt. Mama bear mode was on and so help those that were in range of her claws. "I think we're done here tonight, kids."

"Ms. Ind, I don't believe you understand.." Darcy started. "We haven't tampered. You wouldn't have them if it weren't for us." Why did mothers have to be so difficult? Especially magical mothers? The last one who'd given them any trouble had been the elf--and Darcy believed that'd been more out of confusion than anger.
"I'll show you the way down." Aaron offered politely. "It's harder getting down than up."

Especially hot tempered, red headed mothers. It was definitely more out of confusion, though, in Syrelia's case, but the angry was slowly catching up, the look she gave the twins one of cold fury. The kind of 'I will turn you into frogs, you had better believe it' look that made old enemies quell in fear.
"I wouldn't be having them if it weren't for YOU?!" Whatever happened to the good old fashioned way of making babies?

Darcy had to keep herself from flinching. An angry mother wasn't something even someone as powerful as she was, could look in the eye without wincing.
"Ma'am, please. Calm down? If you have any questions, my sister and I will be glad to answer them. Or if you want to leave, we won't keep you. Your children are safe and healthy, we are not going to harm them. Though, we were of the belief that you didn't have a signifigant other, we might be mistaken. We thought that you, being a witch, would understand better than the other two had."
