...And fight for the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood of Light. This noble cult of skilled and powerful knights took residence on the plains of the medieval continent Teulastia, a small nation with few signs of life and civilization. There, they began to spread, annexing other cities and villages into their own, creating the great city located in the center of the continent, called Soltown. The Brotherhood soon became a highly religious society, known throughout the world for it's undying worship in the great Sun Deity, Solaris, and their strict set of rules, know only as "The Sun's Law." Anyone who broke these perfect laws is promptly executed, in order to maintain peace in Soltown. But, little does the Brotherhood know that these so-called 'perfect rules' will lead them to their inevitable downfall... ---------------
~THE SUN'S LAW~ -LAW I- A Child of the Sun must obey the directives given by the Brotherhood of Light without question. -LAW II-
Under no circumstances may a Child of the Sun bring harm to any living being.
-LAW III-
Under no circumstances may a Child of the Sun steal the treasures of another.
-LAW IV-
A Child of the Sun must never worship any god other than our great Sun Deity, Solaris.
-LAW V-
A Child of the Sun must never be selfish or gluttonous with the many blessings of Solaris.
-LAW VI-
A Child of the Sun must never indulge in the tradition of holy matrimony. The female is a jewel to be experienced by all.
-LAW VII-
A Child of the Sun must never oppose the decisions of the Brotherhood of Light.
-LAW VIII-
The Sun Deity, Solaris, blesses Children of the Sun who purge blasphemers of the Sun's Law.
-LAW IX-
Under no circumstances may a Child of the Sun draw a blade against his fellow children.
-LAW X-
Those who do not possess the Sun's Light must be sent back to the Otherworld, where they may be reborn by Solaris.

~RULES~1.Follow Gaia's rules.Excessive swearing, flaming or any explicit sexual content such as cybering will be reported immediately. We are all here to have fun, and do not need jerks to ruin it for everybody. If you just plan to be a nuisance, I ask that you take it somewhere else. Violators get one warning. ~THE WORLD~
~Heavenly sanctuary... O Great Solaris, let none defile its radiant walls.
The capital city of the Brotherhood of Light, New Soltown is a beautiful city of bright lights that shine in the night, piercing even the deepest darkness. The Brother has made this city their main base of operations. The Sun Temple, a grand and enormous symbol of the Sun Deity, Solaris, stands in the reaches of New Soltown. ~Sacred forest of light... Trespassers begone from this endless wood. A sun-bathed forest that surrounds New Soltown, the Solwood serves as a wall between New Soltown and the other environments of the continent. Being extremely vast and confusing, not many go into the Solwood and come out the exact same way. The ruins of Old Soltown still reside in this enormous forest. ~Forgotten realm of the Brotherhood... Pray that no man shall learn the secrets of this ominous place. The ruins of Old Soltown lie rotting in the Solwood. Abandoned after the Brotherhood came and founded New Soltown, Old Soltown has wedded with the forest, becoming a safe home for the forest's wildlife. Although this ruin is a fun place to play for children from New Soltown, deeper into the ruins are the Old Soltown Depths, where the city has sank into a deep, mysterious swamp where horrifying creatures are said to roam. Even members of the Brotherhood of Light are forbidden to venture into the Depths. ~Shining sea of serenity... Let thy light ward off the unknowing. Beyond the Solwood lies a mysterious beach called Erasure's Coast. Inheriting it's name from the race of fish-like people who are said to live there in tales of yore, rumor has it that those who walk into the luminescent sea that crashes along the coast just disappear for no apparent reason, never to be seen again. By walking along the coast and through the Ras Cotan Mountains, one will reach the fiery caverns of Idlise. Idlise Caverns
~Heart of the Brotherhood... O Great Solaris, thy fire shall protect the source of all life. The Idlise Caverns can be reached by traveling up the Ras Cotan Mountains. A large and complex network of tunnels and volcanic elements, the Idlise Caverns are said to be a core of the Land of the Brotherhood, stretching beyond the mountains, underneath the continent. In the deepest, darkest regions of the Caverns, a legendary artifact, dubbed The Idlise Core, shines in the darkness of the caves. This crystalline object is said to empower whoever touches it with magical abilities.

~How art thou unique among thy fellow Children... "Gwen" is congenial, and respectful of others. She does not go out of her way to help people, but never tries to hurt. She expects the same of others. Gwen's ideal life is to just... live, in perfect harmony with others. She tries to maintain an understanding with everyone: you get what you give. ~Show me thy past endeavors... Guinnevere Rydia Almstaff. She grew up like most young women, learning the Laws of the Sun and preparing to hopefully enter into a life as a Female Servant. Except--this is not what Gwen wants. She hates the idea of being subordinate or otherwise 'inferior' to men. Thus, when presented the opportunity, Gwen promptly declined such an occupation. Regardless of the reaction this received from a pressuring family or judgmental peers, Gwen is trying to proceed with her desired career as a Knight of the Brotherhood. As of yet, she has not received a reply, yea or nay. As far as the Sun Diety goes--Gwen believes, and tries to follow the laws. She is not skeptical or hypocritical in any way, but believes in being open-minded as well.

Rakia is at home among the shadows, not liking the sun, or any type of light. If she comes across a candle, she will snuff it. She is a thief, at home in the darkness, and prefers the glitter of gems to the bright light of the sun. She prefers the darkness, the moon, and silence.

Abandoned on the streets as a child, she had no name, no home, no family. he made her way by pickpocketing, which seemed to be the only thing keeping her alive. One day she got caught by a cloaked figure passing by. She pleaded that the person not kill her, but instead the man took her to a hidden library, and there she was introduced to the Keepers. Still, the Keepers could never quench her thirst to steal... so in her spare time, Rakia dabbled in thieving. "The Midnight Fox" is now famed as the best thief in the city, rarely seen and never caught, though she often does work for the keepers since she joined their ranks.

Rakia's main weapon is a bow, in which she had numerous different types of arrows. Some are simple broad-heads, which are good for killing people. Some simply create a spray of water (which is frankly, quite harmless; though it can startle) etc. She also carries a a dagger, and she is quite skilled with it. This is only a tidbit of the tricks she has up her sleeve. She can also see very well in the dark, though she sees normally in the light as any other.

Since I was a boy I was taught that the way to happiness is through Solaris, and that I had to be a good Child of the Sun. Being diligant in my work, reverent and respectful to my elders and fair to the other Children, I strove to become part of the Brotherhood of Light. What do you know? I made it. I am good and fair to others, though something about me seems to drive them away. I couldn't fathom what it could be. I enjoy my work now, though to take a life still pains me, sometimes it must be done. Oh; and this sword at my side? It's just for show, really.

~How art thou unique among thy fellow Children... I strive to convert Darkwanderers so they might see the light of Solaris. ~Show me thy past endeavors... To my everlasting shame, I was once a Darkwanderer. When the Brotherhood of Light seized control of my hometown, I soon saw the light of Solaris and his glorious Law. Soon after, I devoted my life to studying and learning his ways, until I was accepted into the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood of Light is my friend, filled with warm, familiar faces and open, welcoming arms. To this day, I preach the Sun's Law and the teachings of Solaris to all who will listen. It is my goal to serve Solaris by bringing his Children out of the darkness and into the light.
~I am able see into thy soul... On multiple occasions, Alexandre has acted in a way that makes him seem unstable. He claims this behavior to be "feeling the power of Solaris", but it is unknown whether or not that is the case. He has never failed to convert a "Darkwanderer" in his life; not even once. And what's more, he refuses to reveal his methods to anyone...

Anabell is a very sweet and timid girl. Since her childhood, aspects of her life have come into play to show that she is extremely daring only in life-threatening positions and when faced with something she finds against the Sun Deity's law. Her head is normally bowed, when someone speaks to her she will rarely meet their eyes, and among others of any age she will rarely speak unless spoken to. She follows all rulings of the brotherhood to the letter, is extremely gentle, and does not like the sight of blood, though she will never-mind it if it is the concern of someone around her.

Anabell is the timid maid and servant of the Brotherhood, passed from home to home, Brother to Brother, to serve wherever she is needed. Though she is paid little it is enough to keep her alive, and she doesn't mind it, she feels that by serving the Brotherhood in her own way she is closer to the glory of the Sun Deity. Her mother still lives near the edges of Soltown and is a widowed seamstress who is very mindful of her work. Anabell's father was a cretin, and she will not speak of him, he was executed under law of the Sun Deity Solaris and his family has all but been shamed for it. She is extremely skilled with writing, literacy, and her spelling is divine; Had she not become a maid she would have loved to be a scribe, writing brings her solace. Every day she writes another peice of a poem to the Sun Deity in a seemingly never ending fasion of prayer. She has visited the sun temple many times and loved each with vigor, it is a beautiful place, full of bustle. It is forever a picture in the back of her mind. Given the chance, Ana would do anything to go again and again every day, but even with that she is curious, she has never left the boundary of Soltown, barely even brushing the bark of the trees in Solwood.

Anabell is forever at work, always moving or doing something. If at any time she is left with nothing at all to do she will grab her embroidery fabric and begin to sew or a blank piece of paper, and begin to write.

~How art thou unique among thy fellow Children... Despite what noble cause he may attribute and what charming, witty words he may cover it with, at the heart of everything, Ezeke rebels. He will have absolutely nothing to do with Solaris, and outside of the cities, openly despises them. Of course, he's quite skilled at keeping this a secret--it's funny how knives can do that. Otherwise, Ezeke is calm and makes use of common sense. He has absolutely no morals, and is perfectly willing to betray an ally as quickly as he'll simply change his mind. To him, life is about what he wants and desires. ~Show me thy past endeavors... Past is not something Ezeke prefers to keep tabs on. He grew up in New Soltown, and was raised on the faith, like any other. However, one day, when he accidentally killed his best friend, Ezeke's eyes opened to the truth. Life, and all of the opportunities it offered, became clear to him. Youthful and lucky, Ezeke barely escaped death many times during his first excursions out of sanctioned territory. But experience gave him the knowledge and skill necessary to remain alive. A true wanderer, there isn't very much out there that he hasn't come across or doesn't know about. He was never brought under suspicion for his friend's death. He has killed more since then, but always for a reason.
~I am able see into thy soul... Ezeke does not consider himself dark or malign in any way. He believes the rest of Solaris-worshiping society merely blind--and is okay with letting them remain that way.

I was born into the care of the Brotherhood, as my mother was a servant there. I know not who my father is, for servant women of the Brotherhood tend to lose number of their male callers. Raised in his light, I have never broken a single commandment of the Sun's Law. I joined the Brotherhood, and I learned their ways with... ruthless efficiency. I soon became an Enforcer, one who strives to purge the world of opposing darkness that might threaten our glorious lifestyle. No one can defeat us, for we have the Sun Diety... Solaris is the light that pierces the filth of the Darkwanderers. His divine wings shall their light across the world, and we, the Brotherhood of Light, shall be his sacred escort.

He has attended every meeting, ceremony and announcement ever held during his life, yet he is never seen otherwise. Some say he spends his days praying to Solaris in the high reaches of the Sun Temple, while others say he spends his time in darker places, like the Sun Temple basement.

~How art thou unique among thy fellow Children... Heh, I'm only here because Solaris wants me to be here. Isn't that why everyone else in the Brotherhood is here? Gettin' down to the bottom lines, I hate hangin' around with these Brotherhood wierdos. ~Show me thy past endeavors... Yeah, I admit it. I was a Darkwanderer. Who gives a damn? Anyway, I used to be the leader of a resistance that made base in the Solwood. Once the Brotherhood steaked us out and cut up half our troops, I just decided to join 'em. It was either that or my head on a pike at some creepy ritual for Solaris. Goin' on, I got used to it. The 'Female Servant' system they got here is fantastic.

He hates taking orders from the people he calls "Brotherhood wierdos" and hates living in the Sun Temple. Lately, though, he's been heard talking to himself. When questioned about it, he blames it on the "freaky chanting that they do in the basement."

Do you know what the role of women is in the Brotherhood...?! Do you?! I worked hard to be accepted into the Brotherhood so I can get her out! She shouldn't have to go through this! ~How art thou unique among thy fellow Children... I lead the Brotherhood of Light so we may bathe in the sacred light of Solaris. I will stop at nothing to deliver my people to their promised glory. ~Show me thy past endeavors... When I was born, my deliverer found a mark on my shoulder. This mark predicted that I would be a great man one day, and now look at me. I have founded the Brotherhood of Light. I have singlehandedly caused our small town to grow and expand, to the point where it can be seen and revered from the very heavens. I have developed a concrete, perfect Law for my people to follow, so they may become close to Solaris. I have successfully done my duty to Solaris, but I will not stop here. I am Solaris's highest deciple, and I will carry out his Law until I die.

Jareck, like Garuda, only appears for ceremonies and announcements, although UNlike Garuda, he likes to walk among his people every now and then, blessing the righteous. A scientific genius, rumor has it that he is working on a special project that he promises will "bring the Children of the Sun to Solaris." He announces progress on this special project every few days.

After our parents died, I had to look after my little brother, Leylong. When I came of age, I volunteered myself to the Brotherhood. It is my duty to make good use of the blessings that were given to me by Solaris. I have lived in the Sun Temple ever since... I love it here; all of the men protect me, and I am closer than ever to Solaris... When Leylong joined the Brotherhood, he tried to get me to escape with him, but I said no. He just doesn't understand... I never want to leave.

I like the feeling I get after a long day's work as a Female Servant, but every night I'm left wanting more and more... ~Show me thy past endeavors... I volunteered myself to the Brotherhood so I could bring my family honor. I've only been here for a few months, and already I am rivaling the famous Fyona with my skills as a Female Servant. It just feels right, being a Female Servant, ready to please any Brother at a moment's notice, and this is for my family. I must bring them honor... Solaris, please bless them... And thank you for such a fantastic privilege.
~I am able see into thy soul... Lamyah is one of the Brotherhood's many "Female Servants". She joined right after she turned 19 (the proper age). She likes serving the Brotherhood, but she wants a life other than the one she was stuck with. Every day, she sneaks out of the Sun Temple to visit her family. She has been punished several times for seducing Brotherhood members; it seems that she is getting addicted to the duties of the Female Servant.

I'm a bounty hunter, and I ain't from around here, if ya know what I mean. I get by on whatever jobs come flyin' my way, livin' life on the fast lane, enjoyin' the simple pleasures of life. One nice day with my esteemed and totally HOT business partner, called Ruby by her friends, some wierdo waltzed into my shop and went ramblin' on about how he needed someone good to pull the plug on a bunch of mindless lackeys called the Brotherhood or somethin' like that. A rash, self-centered rogue, Green has been known to leave his partner, Ruby, alone in sticky situations. However, he always gets her forgiveness. Green uses whatever he can find to defend himself in battle, whether it's a twig, a rock, a sword, a hammer or Ruby herself. ~Thy spirit is singing... I work with the little sweetheart to take down all those mean people who're runnin' around out there n' causin' trouble. We met a few months ago, and we've been so compatible since then... I wouldn't say we're in a relationship, just friends with benefits, if ya know what I mean. I'm a good girl when I wanna be, but I can also be very naughty sometimes. I always get what I want, whether it's with Green's help or me havin' to do it all by my little self. Anywho, I'm here cuz my Green got himself a nice little job to bring down the big bad Brotherhood. I won't say the details of our little mission, though... She uses her feminine wiles to get what she wants, and takes pleasure from corrupting the souls of righteous people through seduction. Although Green often leaves her behind when the going gets tough, Ruby remains a loyal and useful companion to the rogue. She looks forward to crushing the moral code of the Brotherhood; she is quite confident that they won't resist, for one could say that Ruby is truly the most beautiful woman in the world. Wart
Horrifying abominations warped by evil, Warts are the most common demons in Raise Thy Sword. With several misplaced limbs, each edged with a menacing blade, Warts are terrible killers with a thirst for human souls. Their most dangerous move involved their hyper-extending tongues, which can travel enormous distances and drag the target towards the Wart, like a grappling hook. However, they have little or no defenses, making them somewhat easy to kill.
