Tsuki giggled happily as she wiggled her way out from a little tunnel out through her closet that her mom's friend, Eifa, had helped her dig, wriggling herself a bit before she finally pulled herself all the way out, bright-coloured pelt obscured slightly by the dirt that clung to it. Shaking herself off, the little kittentaur sniffed delightedly at the late evening air. She wasn't normally allowed out this late, but at the moment she could care less; it was finally nice out instead of terribly cold at night, and she wanted to experience it for the first time!!

The wind that she'd barely started learning to control ruffled her fur and disturbed the leaves beneath her feet. She was definitely glad that her grandfather was teaching her magic, though; between her, her brother, Eifa, Luke, and Mystaya -when she came by-, and all her previous classmates or students, Jaione's schedule was rather full as it was, whereas Syem never seemed to have much to do but disappear for a few hours each day and come home looking rather frazzled. That was around the time he would usually give Jaione lessons. Giggling and flicking her tail, the little cattaur began bounding through the woods happily. Her grandfather hadn't come home quite yet, and she was curious as to his whereabouts.

Unbeknownst to the cute little thing, he was already on his way back home.

Wateni had decided that she wanted to see where Syem was whenever he wasn't with her. For some reason though, rather than asking him outright, she had decided to follow him to wherever he called 'home'. So she slithered as quietly as she could just far enough behind him where she could still follow him and not get lost.

She wasn't sure what to expect. Would he have a hut, like she had seen other taurs in and around, from a distance? Would he live in a field, like Evisule had? Or a cave? Or a hole in the ground? Or a tree? All were possible, and she pictured him going to each in her mind.

Of course, she hadn't thought about what she would do when she saw his home, whether she would confront him and see if she could stay too or whether she would just make note of it and slither off to her own bed, wherever she happened to make it that night.

Tsukasa darted through the woods happily, her little tail uncontrolled in the wind that she sped up, which made her feel as though she was practically flying through the air, despite her speed being minimal, as a little taur's was. She pounced every now and again on a stray leaf or snap a stick before continuing, getting more and more lost as she continued through the forest.

Finally, she ran into something that might help her find her way back.

If it didn't eat her first.

She was simply bounding through the woods when she finally collided with the pink-and-green tail of her grandfather's mate, squealing and giggling happily when she rolled backward from the impact, not yet having been taught about the hunters and the hunted. She simply giggled again and looked up at the female through wide, thistle-coloured eyes, tail swishing through the air happily. "Gee, I'm rully sorry 'bout that, missus. I wasn't watchin' where I was goin', and I'm jus' trying to find my Pop-pop," she said with a firm nod of her head, before going a bit slack jawed and blushing cutely. "Gosh, miss, you're really, rully pretty, didja know that? 'Cause it's true, mmhmm, yes sir."

Wateni's tongue flicked out, tasting the scent of the taur just as it came out of the forest and bumped into her. She recognized it now as the little furball that had annoyed her when Syem was around. Glaring down at the little cat-thing as it spoke, she idly wondered if getting it lost in the forest would allow Syem's attentions to be more focused on her, but decided against it. Most likely he would end up trying to go find it, her competition, and forget about her while doing so. No, if it was lost already... then bringing it back to him would make him happy! And if he wasn't out and about worrying about it, then he would spend more time with the watermelon naga to show his gratitude!

Happy with her genius plan, Wateni's mouth curled into a smile as she continued to stare at the furball. She hadn't heard much of what it had said, other than that it thought she was pretty, which she agreed with. At least it wasn't completely brain-dead. "Where's Syem?" she demanded, then trying to be a bit less harsh, "You... need to be taken back to him. I'm sure he's waiting for you. Which direction is your home in?"

Tsukasa stared up at the watermelon-coloured naga, tail swishing behind her happily as she took a seat where she was previously standing. The female was kind of scary, but for some reason this didn't register very much to the little cattaur. After all, she could always scream. Unless it ate her... huh. She pondered on that thought for a while, while Wateni was thinking herself, and looked around at all of the colourful foliage. Finally, the naga spoke again, and Tsuki returned her eyes with rapt attention.

"I needta? Oh, geez, I didn't know that. Um, did I get in trouble or something? 'Cause Pop-pop's out over that way but my house is over that way," she pointed first to her right, then behind herself, wiggling a bit where she stood. "But I dunno if he's goin' to see my mommy or not, and if he is he'll be that way... but if he's goin' home he'll be that way... why's I gotta go see'im?"

Wateni couldn't help but ignore the cat-thing's directions, though she didn't really make an effort to listen, depite being the one who asked the question. Her tongue flicked out a couple times until she caught Syem's scent, and she slithered in that direction.

The watermelon naga paused as she realized she had forgotten something. Looking around, she glared at the furball as her eyes lit upon in. A moment later her gaze softened, though it required a conscious effort. It wouldn't do to be so absentminded, especially about the furball Syem loved so much... not when she wanted him to love her more. She thought back to try to remember what it had said to her. "Trouble? No... not yet, at any rate. But he'll worry. And we can't have that. So come along, we're going to go see him."

After another pause Wateni decided that the cat-thing probably wouldn't be able to keep up with her on its stubby legs, so she attempted to pick it up with one hand, but it was just a bit too heavy. Annoyed, but needing to carry it to go on with her plan, she picked it up and cradled it in her hands. "...Why don't you call out to him?" she suggested, hoping Syem would respond to its voice and backtrack on his path to discover that the watermelon naga was a hero.

Tsukasa wiggled a bit where she sat, flicking the tip of her tail curiously at the naga. She couldn't help the continuing thought of just how pretty this woman was, almost making her surprised that he chose Syem of all people for a mate. Not that she thought that Syem was unattractive, it just seemed rather strange. After all, the naga female seemed rather angry, too, and she hadn't known that Syem liked that sort of woman.

It was a couple seconds before she noticed how far away the other had gotten. Gasping cutely, she jumped up from her seat, pouncing as quickly as she could toward the other, though she was definitely a clumsy little thing. The woman then stopped, and Tsukasa squealed in surprise, paws scrambling against the ground awkwardly a moment before she tripped and tumbled headfirst, bouncing off of Wateni's side just slightly.

Blushing profusely, she shirked away from the other, tail curling around herself protectively. "O-oh. I'm sowry that I runned into ya, 'Teni, I didn't mean ta. It was an assident, I mean," she said sweetly, ears flicked back against her bright blue hair. "An' why's Pop-pop gon'na worry? I dun live wif him, I live wif Mama and Poppa," she explained, nodding a couple times before squealing when she was lifted up off of the ground, looking up wide-eyed at the woman, looking meek. "Um... 'kay...

"Pop-pop!! Where are yooou?"

Wateni sighed in annoyance, the little patience she was gifted with quickly running out. The cat-thing wasn't particularly enjoyable to be around when it was quiet, and now it seemed to constantly be talking. But she had to be nice. Just be nice, and Syem would be happy with her, and spend more time with her. "Well, furball, when your parents find you gone, they'll be worried, and tell Syem, and then he'll be worried, and I don't care about your parents so we're going to find Syem rather than them."

Flicking her tongue out, she caught his scent again and continued in that direction, holding the small one a few inches away from her torso. It was warm... and smelled a bit funny. She wondered absently if all cattaurs smelled like that, since she hadn't been this close to one in a long while.
