What does NPC mean? i've pretended like I'm not insanely confused by it in the cafe. I know it has something to do with having someone else's character do something to help yours.

NPC is not-played-character, or non-player-character. The Gaia shopkeepers like Moria and Ian are called NPCs because they aren't any person's account. In RPCs it is a side character, like a bartender, that anyone can control within limits. So, not forcing the character to interact with others, but for your character to order a drink you can say that the NPC bartender served the item.

Sir Awesomealot What do "yaio" and "het" stand for? Yaoi = boyxboy het = hetero. I think the last one is right, unless the meaning has changed B[
