Occupation: She's a scientist, but currently she's currently working on ways to help the terraformation project. Alongside her hobby of making things that go KABOOM.

Physical Description: Standing at an average 5'9 in height and weighing in at about 135 pounds, Tosh is thin and kind of lanky. The weight on her bones is mostly muscle tissue and not very fat tissue seems to exist. Having a fast metabolism tends to burn through her energy quickly, so she's nearly constantly eating, but she gains very little weight. (Her constant fluctuation of food does, however, mean her weight can go up to 140 or down to 130, and tends to fluctuate randomly.) She has a pale complexion, and her face (And most of her body, to be honest) is bespeckled with freckles. She has big green eyes, a big mouth, and short black hair. It's frizzy and tends to be wild when not under a bandana or hat, so usually she has some sort of head adornment. She has a pair of goggles that're either on her face or on top of her head at all times, and despite her pale complexion, she somehow always seems to be covered in some kind of smoke residue. Her clothing is simple but effective; simple shirt, simple jeans, and a pair of quality workboots. She's not one for jewelry or fanciness, much preferring her smoky goggles and her headscarf to tie that damn mop of hers back. Makeup? What's that? o.o Doll for your enjoyment!

Personality: Tosh is a very complex person. She's not complicated or moody or anything like that, no, but she's definitely multi-faceted. On one side, Tosh is very much a teenager who just grew up too fast for her mind to keep up with. She acts like a child sometimes, bouncing around, laughing and joking, even trying to prank people! She gets her kicks in when she can, because there are just some way-too-srs people on board the Peregrine, and Tosh refuses to be one of them. As easy as it is to become an Angstmonkey, she works very hard not to. Because angstmonkeys are boring. Having fun is a staple in this girl's life. On another side, Tosh can be very serious. Contradicting? Yeah, I think so too. When work calls for it, Tosh is a very determined and driven young lady. Working hard has become just as much a staple as fun in Tosh's mind, especially given the nature of her career and its inevitable dangers. Sure, working with chemicals and making the BIG BOOM makes the child in Tosh laugh, but the adult in Tosh knows very well just how easy it is to go overboard and get herself or others hurt. Which brings us to side 3 on the Tosh's Mind Tour. Tosh has a bit of an angstmonkey in her, as much as she tries to ignore it. Past mistakes tend to haunt her, and guilt is her best friend when she gets into an angsty mood. Guilt for leaving her family, guilt for hurting others, guilt for hurting herself... It's easy to feel guilty and beat yourself up, but it's hard to forgive. Maybe she'll be able to forgive herself one day but right now, she'd just as well like to shove that Angsty!Tosh as far back into her mind as she can. Side 4 is a bit of an insanity trip! See, Tosh likes the big boom. So much so that one could label her as a bit of a mad scientist. Making things no one thinks to make, experimenting with chemicals everyone else leaves well enough alone... It's the curiosity in her that makes her do these things. And the thrill that she could easily blow herself or something important up. Yeah, it makes the Serious!Tosh angry and the Angsty!Tosh guilty and the fun!Tosh a little uneasy, but Insane!Tosh doesn't care. Because mad scientists are christing awesome. These four facets are not separate entities, however, and it's very common to see a bit of fun!Tosh mingling with Serious!Tosh, or Angsty!Tosh paying Insane!Tosh a visit. It's just easier to explain the different facets of her personality thusly, but make no mistake; Tosh isn't insane. Nor is she shizophrenic, or suffering from a severe case of Multiple Personality Disorder. She's just a little... complex.
History: Patricia Carrion was born to Marian and Larry Carrion three years into their four-year-long marriage. When Larry Carrion left Marian Carrion a year later, he took Tosh with him and left Marian to take care of herself. Thus, Tosh doesn't much remember her mother. That's just as well, according to Larry, Marian Carrion was a bit of a loony anyway. Tosh grew up with her father in the United Nation of Texico, and went to school like any other student. Until high school, she was just another silly kid with scabby knees and dirt from head-to-toe until Dad came home and made her take a bath. Morning to night, it was the same ol' same ol'. Then high school came, and eeeeverything changed.

Tosh suddenly grew like a bean sprout from 3'2 to 5'9, and spouted a pair of not-nearly-as-big-as-they-could-be-boobs. Growing up only with her father, it was a little hard learning all those womanly things that were happening to Tosh, but just as well, she figured it out on her own. She also figured out that she didn't quite like the guys in her school. Mind you, she didn't like the girls either. She liked science. Science was interesting. And thus, a deep passion for science was planted deep in Tosh's developing mind. Larry encouraged her to learn as much as she could about the subject, and between her constant studying and having no life, Tosh quickly become an A+ student.

Then she turned seventeen, and she began to make friends. Her grades slipped from A+ to B-, but still passing, Larry didn't bat an eye. If it made his little girl happy, then Tosh could do what she wanted. Tosh became a more rounded individual thanks to her friends, even if they were all whiny brats sometimes. She still focused on science more then friends, though, and when she graduated she went off to college in the United States. She became a scientist, like she always wanted to, and she met a man then. One thing led to another on one particular night, the night after her last exam before graduating from the University, and she found herself with child.

Naturally, the man wanted nothing to do with her after that. After all, he wanted to be with a doctor, so they could open a practice together. So when Tosh graduated, she was an unwed pregnant 23 year old. She went home to Texico, and told her Dad, who promptly decided to try and kill the kid. After talking her father down, Larry agreed to have her move back home and have her baby in the great nation of Texico.

Somewhere in her second trimester, while Tosh was working at a local high school teaching chemistry, she began going into labor. She miscarried that day in a hospital. Some might say that this prompted her to take more risks. Tosh'll say that's ridiculous, but maybe it's true. After she miscarried, Tosh quit her job as a teacher and began getting into real science, developing cosmetics and then moving on to medicinal science, and then on to genetic science. She loved her work, don't get me wrong, but she wouldn't have done it with a child and part of Tosh felt horrible for feeling good about not being a mother.

Some time passed, and news came that the ship Peregrine would be taking off. Spots were limited, but Tosh managed to work the scientific connections she had gained from working in so many places, and found herself leaving the planet Earth, leaving her dear father and her unknown mother and that b*****d who got her pregnant far, far beyond. She looked to the stars then, and she smiled for the opportunities that would surely arise.

Particular Skills: Tosh took a year of gymnastics in the 10th grade, which pretty much left her with the ability to do cartwheels, tumbles, and do balance-beam stuff. (But not very well.) Also, she likes lemurs.
