Anyone played Uncharted? It's one of my all time favourite games and I'm very excited about the next installment.

Check out the E3 trailer:

No, I havn't played it, but I've herd alot of positive things about it, so it's on my long list of things-I-plan-to-buy list.

I watched the E3 trailer of two on the television... It looks like a good game.

It's a brilliant game, and it's not very expensive now. Admittedly it has it's flaws...it can be a bit repetitive and it's fairly short. However the developers have promised that they've fixed all the flaws of the first game in the second one, and from the gameplay footage I've seen, I'm sure they have.

Well how much is it now? I may buy it once I get my job started. (In U.S. dollars. lol)

i don't understand how the game is short?
compared with similar game of the genre it takes about the same amount of time to complete.

Compared with other games it probably isn't short but I'd heard alot of people say they wanted it to be longer. I mean, if you compare it to the latest TR games it's no short than that but we all know the latest TR games was rubbish and way too short.

@Evalad - I have no idea how much it is in dollars because I'm English but it's 2 years old now so it should be fairly cheap.

so it's not short then it's perfect for that type of game?
If you want a long game stay away from platformers and action games.

Heh, I remember spending about two weeks playing this game when I first got my PS3, loved every minute of it but left it when finished.
Then they brought the trophy patch out and I managed to blitz the platinum in a weekend.

To me, action games have only become short recently. They never used to be, so I never considered it a typical feature of the genre. I adored the Prince of Persia trilogy (excluding the latest (4th) one) and they're of a similar genre yet I don't consider them to be short. To me, Uncharted is too short, but then it seems like games of the past 2 or 3 years are short because people don't seem to enjoy longer games stare

@Martial spirit - Yeah, the trophies make it replayable. Apparently they are doing more to make Uncharted 2 more relayable, and there is also a multiplayer mode where I think you can play as Nathan or a bad guy or his new female sidekick.

From what i saw of E3, you should probably get the first. I'm sure it's only 30$ now. Not too bad...

I can't remember a action game that took me over 10 hours to complete, so for me they are all short.

I remember the Syphon Filter games lasting me for quite a while, particularly as Omega Strain had loads of replayability.

Yeah I'd recommend getting the first, so you know who the characters are because they reappear in the second one.
