Selena was walking through the sands of the beach, she had found a few clams on the bank and tried to open them, but she had failed. Her mind was blank. She was just walking with little expression on her face. She wanted to open the thick shells, see what lies inside. She had heard stories that some of these shells contained beautiful spheres of silk. They were said to be small yet exceptionally valuable. Selena wanted to find one, or even to open one. She was quite stubborn when she set her mind on something. So now she was carrying five or six clams in her hat, which she held between her teeth. Maybe someone could help me...

Papillon was usually not around the beach. He was usually near flowers that his butterfly friends could take the nectar from. Now, they were laying on him, getting a free ride along the shore of the beach. A small smile spread on his face as he walked along the shore.
The chains that were wrapped around his body smacked into each other and made an awful noise that Papi hated. His purple ears flicked back and he sighed and tried to ignore the noise of the metal.
His blue eyes squinted when he thought he saw a dark figure in the distance.

Selena walked and hummed. She didn't even notice the stallion, now standing a meter away from her. She would have smashed into him, loosing her clams, if it were not for the wound of metal clanging together.
She looked up at him, he was quite tall. She bowed politely, and put her hat down so that she could speak.
"Im very sorry, I wasn't paying attention and I...." Her eyebrow rose high, "Are those...butterflies on your back...sir?"

Yes, Papillon was tall, but he was as soft as a teddy bear. His blue eyes looked down to the mare as she bowed her head and he nodded his head with a charismatic smile spread across his muzzle. As if he hadn't noticed the butterflies on him, the large, purple stallion turned his head and glanced at the blue and purple butterflies. He chuckled softly as he answered her question simply. "Yes. They are."
When he noticed the mare's hat and the scarf around his neck, he gave her a curious look. "Aren't those human's clothing?" Papi asked, taking a step away from the mare, causing the metal on him to smack into each other and make a high pitched clinking noise. Humans were something the stallion avoided at all cost, they were the reason the chains were on him. "Wh-Why are you wearing those?" He asked as his blue eyes darted around quickly to make sure no human was lurking somewhere, using this mare as bait to trap him.

"Human?" The word was unfamiliar to Selena, but it had a strange ring to it. And it rolled off her tongue in a very uncomfortable manner.
But her clothing was similar to that of the two-leggers. "By humans, do you mean the two leggers I see walking around in the villager near the forest?" She asked with mild curiosity. She never knew they had a scientific name.
"And I wear these for a reason, the hat to shad my eyes, while the handkerchief for a different reason." She stated boldly with a snort.

Papillon nodded his head as he answered the mare. He almost forgot that the soquili around here called the humans two-leggers. "Yes, I mean the two-leggers..." Papillon had learned the name when he was chained up. He learned quite a bit of their language while chained up near the humans...er two-leggers.
He would never wear such things, but the mare seemed to like them. "They sound useful... though I prefer just using the trees as my shade." Papillon said with a smile on his muzzle. A butterfly that was laying on his back flew up into the air then landed on the tip of his muzzle. He was so used to this that he simply ignored the butterfly and continued on with their conversation.

Selena saw that he seamed very uncomfortable with her clothes. She frowned.
"Do they really bother you so?" She asked, a little curious at the cause of his phobia. "And they can be very useful, the trees and mountains are by far better shade, but when you are in the plains, clearing or desert?" She asked the stallion.
As she spoke to him, a butterfly landed on his nose, she blinked at it and saw that the stallion had not even noticed.
Such strange Soquili I am meeting today...

Papillon smiled at the mare, trying to push past his fears of her clothing and just enjoy her company. She couldn't be bad just because she wears human's clothing, right? "No, no they do not bother me." The stallion said, simply wanting her to be comfortable rather than making him comfortable.
"I guess you are right. I'm sure they are very useful in those terrains. Where did you get them? I have never seen another Soquili with human's... two-legger's clothing." He smiled at the mare and lifted a dark hoof out of the sand then glanced back at his long tail that was now a golden color at the bottom from the sand that had been knotted in it.

Selena could see that he was lying to be kind. She smiled to herself. "If they do make you feel uncomfortable, Ill be glad to hide my hat , since it is quite cloud and cool."
She dropped the clams, careful not to bury them in the sand, and she put the hat behind a rock. She would return for it sooner or later.
"The handkerchief, not so much," she smirked. "I am sad to say that I stole both articles of clothing. I understand if that makes you think ill of me." Selena eyes the clams, then the butterfly still perching upon his nose.

He smiled and watched as she hid the hat. His eyes then wandered down to the clams and he tilted his head slightly. "What are those for? You like to collect them?" Papillon asked as he let his light purple ears flick towards the mare.
"No, no I do not think ill of you. Those humans think they can own whatever they want by taking it, so why not let them have a taste of their own medicine?" His blue eyes watched the mare for a moment and he thought they could possibly get along well.

"Oh," she looked down at the clams, "well I found a few and I tried to open them, unsuccessfully, so Ive been carrying them around to find either a large stone or someone that could help me." She stated with a smile.
Then one of the butterflieslanded on her ear, "Hmm," she pondered.

Papillon looked down at the clams. "So just need them crushed? I could try." He figured it could be easy. Not only was he tall, but Papi was also strong. His strength was because he had to carry these chains around with him all day. At first they were heavy, now they were like a part of him.
He watched as a butterfly landed on her ear. "Don't worry, they don't bite." Papi said with a light chuckle.

"Well, not crushed really..." she thought of the beautiful, silky sphere turning into little shards. "More like, forcefully opened." She blinked at the clams. Strange treasure boxes.
Her legs were strong and her hooves were sharp, but she didn't want to risk losing her treasure. Maybe she could out wit him into opening them quickly, and then she would run off.
"My treasure," she mumbled. Not listening to the stallion's remark about the butterflies.

He looked at the clams and tried to think of a way to open them. "Forcefully open huh?" His head lowered towards them and he noticed a little line that ran across it that looked a little like a mouth. Papillon looked back at the mare and shrugged his shoulders.
"Your treasure?" The stallion asked as his purple head tilted to the side slightly.

[lol Golom moment for her] He caught her off guard, she did not realize she had spoken out loud. But she kept her face emotionless under an carefully composed mask.
"Yes, I found the clams, and one shone right as the sun's light hit it, so I thought it was beautiful. And now, whatever I find in there I will treasure," she paused, "unless it smells."
