I was born in 86 so I misted G1 when it was new and so I grow up watching the reruns and toys. I would have to say I knew I was a true to heart fan when Beast Wars came out and was so ecstatic about it. And ever since I’d watch all the show and buy only transformers toy I think the last non transformer toy I played with was legos.

I'm an 82 baby so I caught everything muahahaha minus the toys... parents are always stinge that way lol.

I don't know what kept me captivated but I'm sold when I saw it. All that is needed haha. The new stuff... sadness. Beast Wars definitely comparable. Unfortunately it was so short crying

1980 here. Grew up with it, had an army of Micromasters especially.

G2 came along and I started saving my own money, got a few figs here and there. But up until around this point, they were toys. I don't actually still have any of the figs before this point except a battered G2 Jolt.

Got two or three Beast Wars figs for birthdays and such (all lost), but didn't start collecting on my own until they started making dragons. I collected Transformer dragons all over the place.

But I didn't get really back into TF collecting until Armada came out.

One word: Unicron. After that, I was hooked again.

OH! You should look into the Terrorcons you probably like them but they are very primitive looking in terms of the designs.

Yeah, G1 animal modes are kind of hit and miss. I later added BW2 Galvatron to my menagerie though. Best dragonformer ever.

I'm still debating on Web Diver's Garyun though. Conceptually, how can you go wrong with a pirate ship that turns into a dragon? But every time I look at it I get this little feeling of doubt.

Mostly I get the feeling that if I started buying Web Diver toys, I'd never STOP until I got them all because they're all designed to work together.

The concept is designed to make wallets quake in fear.

The central figure, Gradion, is a robot that transforms into a train. He is also a video game, that you plug into your TV and play with buttons on his back. If you want to switch between mini-games, you transform the toy while it's plugged in, and you get an animated transformation sequence on screen.

And all the other figures become accessories in some way for Gradion. His chest has an infrared sensor so when you plug the other figures into him they appear in-game and act as powerups.

The game itself is reported to be nothing impressive, but still, once you have one, the temptation to get more... just to see... is very dangerous.

I'm an '82 dude. On fateful Saturday morning....

And I've been hooked ever since. My father would bring me home transformers if I'd been good. Sadly... as Mylian would attest, at the time, I only saw them as mere toys. It wasn't until Beast Wars that I wizened up.

Now, I focus on the Classics line. And I hope to god that Hasbro starts it up again after RoTF dies down.

I'm a 90's baby.
I remember I was watching Pokemon on Cartoon Network then I fell asleep. I woke up and saw a G1 episode of Transformers [I remember it was episode 56] and I'm all like 'Robot's transforms into Car?'. I got frecked out cause I was only a kid. I got hooked on it but then our cable got shut off.

It was the 07 movie that brought me back...good times ;___;

Scarring episodes for me was Optimus rolling down the side of the mountain and Rachet going "can you still transform?"

The other one is Optimus's severed head and his body changed into a giant alligator...

So scary but proves that Optimus is invincible and Megatron is a douche since he could have terminated Optimus at that time and be done with it.
