A small green body darted back and forth through the water of Tuatha'ri Lake, a school of fish following closely behind her, but struggling to keep up. "Come slowpokes..." she told the arrow fish anxiously as she stayed in place for a brief second. Lillison poked her head out of the water and looked around her, she had managed to make her way to the mouth of a stream. "Huh..." she murmured as she dipped her head back under the water and went back to her school. As she continued to move up the stream she could hear a deafening roar in the water up ahead. It was Mereth Falls, but she didn't know that. She quickly darted into a kelp bed, trembling at the thought of what could be coming.

Brighten was alone in the lake. He had been alone since he was born, just swimming and playing around by himself. He didn't know what it was like to meet others. He then heard splashing and saw a child like him, but she had fish following her! He got a devilish smile and made his antennae glow to where that was all she could see. Hopefully she would come and investigate.

Lillison was still clinging to the kelp trying her best to blend in. It was so dark that she couldn't really see anything anyways. What... what if the monster came and she couldn't see him. Lillison got really scared and started looking around frantically in case the roaring monster moved towards her. She saw a light. "Hey..." she whispered to her fishy friends as she tapped them all with her fin. "light". Lillison wasn't sure what it was, but it would help her be able to see so she quickly darted towards it as fast as she could.

Good, she was coming. He wasn't exactly sure what he would do when she got to him. He just thought he would try and sway her over to him. He let his antennae bounce a little to make his glowing ball more enticing.

"Faster!" Lillison shouted to the fish when the light started to move. Oh, she hoped she would not miss it or it would not go out, she needed that light. Lillison gave her fin a good kick and sped forward, changing elevation, up and down, with the bobbing light. Lillison reached her hand out for it.

"Ouch!" Ok, he so hadn't planned for that. "Hey, that hurt." He said as he tugged his antennae out of the other naiads hand. Now the light was bright enough and she was close enough to see it was attached to a male naiad child. He didn't know what to do with her now that she came to him, so he just smiled. "It worked."

"Ah!" she screamed with a high pitch as she quickly pulled her hand back and swam backwards a bit away from the strange occurrence. She covered her mouth and glanced around, hoping she hadn't alerted the monster her location. Lillison squinted her eyes as she looked at the boy attached to the light. "What worked?" she asked him curiously.

He swam back as the girl screamed at him. He so didn't expect that! He then swam forward so the girl could see he was just a child naiad like her. "Oh, I just wanted to see if I could lure you here, and it worked." He smiled at her as he said that very nonchalantly.

Lillison stared at the boy "Why would you want to do that?" she asked him, placing her hands on her hips, she hoped the boy had not been trying to pull some cruel joke on her. "There is a sea monster out to get me and I will make sure he eats you first if you are a meanie." she warned him.

"Because...I wanted to see if it would work." And it did. She came right to him. He then stared at her, "A sea monster?" He hadn't seen one, but that didn't mean it wasn't there. "What's it look like?"

"I never see a naiad with a glowy stick." Lillison mentioned, poking at it with a finger. "Where you get that from?" Lillison nodded her head and opened her mouth to describe the monster in full detail when she remembered that she hadn't actually seen him yet. "Uh... well I don't know. It is too dark to see him, but I can hear him."

"No, I'm not a bug." He humphed back to the girl. He looked at the little fish and didn't think they were as great as his glowing antennae. "Ok." He said and slowly followed her. He shined his light out in front of them to see what this monster could be.

As she quickly swam up the stream, the roaring sound of the waterfall up ahead grew louder, frightening Lillison. She hung back, staying closer to the shining boy. "We must be getting closer..." Lillison said shivering and slowing down in pace, she didn't want to be getting closer, she wanted to get far, far away.
