Frustrated with the dream he was watching, Sholazar cast his mind out to see what else might be going on to observe. "Well," he said to himself. "This looks interesting...."

She found herself inside the Tardis, as she often did. She knew she was dreaming. It was only in a dream that she could be in the Tardis, after all. She knew, when she was awake, that he was gone... that she should get on with her life and live fantastically as he had wished. And she wanted to... she did a good act. She was able to fool most of the world into thinking she was fine. But... well, those who knew her...
But asleep, she could be with him. Sometimes. Sometimes she didn't find him. Those were the nightmares. And this was shaping up to be a nightmare. She found herself wandering the Tardis' many rooms, searching for the Doctor, calling out his name and hearing her voice echoing back to her...

A voice would sound from outside the tardis. A clear strong voice singing a beautiful song, accompanied by a full orchestra that some how managed to not be louder then the singer. It was beautiful, though the language was not any she would know. the ton e was haunting and sweet.

How... How could she NOT know the language? That was something Rose had become so accustomed to. Even in Pete's World, she understood all languages, because of the Tardis's effect. Cautiously, she ventured forward to explore this strange phenomenon.

Xiao stood just outside the tardis, singing. She was almost difficult to look upon, wrapped in a bright rainbow of color, like a miniature sun fed through a prism.

Rose blinked and squinted for a few seconds before sliding a pair of sunglasses on from... well... it was a dream after all. She listened for awhile before interrupting. "What is that song?"

Sholazar blinked then narrowed his eyes. how dare she try and manipulate things in his...er. her own dream!
Xiao blinked and stopped singing. The music and colors stopped as her voice did. She smiled a bit and shrugged. "I don't know. I was just putting together sounds that sounded nice. Did you like it?"

She smiled gently. "I loved it. It was pretty," she answered, while thinking that that explained why she didn't understand the words. They weren't really words.

"Thank you. It was a lament. I thought I was just in a very dark wood that needed help... It had lost all it's light and color.... but then suddenly I was here by that odd box you came out of, and all I wanted to do was sing a song for the dying wood.

Dying...forest? That sounded like something the Doctor would investigate. Along with... "Do you know how you got here?"

"I...guess," she agreed, though she hadn't felt like singing much lately. After all, how did one express one's heart when that heart was in another dimension? Ugh... she was getting poetic. Next she would be drinking coffee, surrounded by other mopey people. That just wouldn't do! "Do you remember where you were?

"Oh, I thought I said. A dark, dying forest. There were a lot of purple butterflies, which should have been pretty but they had huge mouths with teeth."
Sholazar grinned and quirked words in to her mouth.
"And bad wolf and they were really scary." Bad wolf? Where had that come from? Was there a wolf there? she really didn't remember.
That should make things interesting, he thought.
