It's late in the evening when Lukou and Zuilian are pushed together, their two-leggers eager to see the pair interact. ShtrDrNGry Lukou gives her two-legger an odd look, but giggles and smiles after the uni. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian glares at his two-legger but moves over towards Lukou anyway. His appearance is somewhat ragged since he's been away from home and depressed. "Good evening Miss." His tone is distant and somewhat cool, but not rude. It's the tone of someone being cautious. ShtrDrNGry Lukou tilts her head slightly to Zuilian, her eyes looking him over before she giggles and nods. " Good evening to you too, Sir." Her tone was much more playful and melodic, an obvious air of acceptance and friendliness towards all. Yuuka Kurokawa "How are you this evening?" His eyes focused on her for half a moment before they went hazy and unfocused again. His thoughts were a jumbled mess of past and present. This new mare was pretty, but he was worried she'd disappear like another pretty mare in his life had. That would be bad, oh yes. Such a tragedy. "Pretty mares shouldn't vanish into thin air," he mumbled out loud. ShtrDrNGry Lukou's head came back slightly, her rose colored eyes reflecting her slight confusion over the stallions mumblings. " Huh?" She had every intention of offering that she was just lovely tonight, but the odd words that fell from the other's mouth left her a little lost. " What happened?" She tilted her head as she looked to him, her form relaxing again as she watched him, waiting to see what he might offer before she tried to prod answers from him. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian's eyes focused on the mare again as he shook out the figurative cobwebs. "Forgive me Miss. My mind seems to wander a great deal more lately. My name is Zuilian and you are?" Again the polite but cold tone, somehow though it was just a touch warmer this time. ShtrDrNGry " Ah." Lukou smiled after Zuilian, the young mare guilty of letting her mind wander at times herself. " My name is Lukou. It's nice to meet you, Zuilian." Her tone was still light and rather melodic, the laughter that followed her offering fitting well with her playful nature, a bow of her head to be polite though she kept just outside what she considered to be his personal bubble. " If you don't mind me asking, what keeps your mind wandering?" He didn't outwardly appear to be the disoriented type, but Lukou knew well that looks could be decieving. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian's eyes darkened quite a bit as voice lowered to a barely audible whisper and all inflections disappeared. "She vanished. Simply disappeared into thin air. Vidia's gone and no one knows where." The stallion sighed and shook his head, unkempt mane rustling softly "That is my reason Miss Lukou." ShtrDrNGry A soft 'oh' escaped Lukou as she watched the stallion, her heart hurting for him as the thought of somebody from her life disappearing rose from his words. The urge to ask who this Vidia was to him made the mare shift on her hooves, but she managed to keep that question quiet. " Is there anything I can do to help?" While it was true that Lukou and Zuilian had only just met, the mare didn't like seeing any Soquili, regardless of familiarity, in any sort of pain. Yuuka Kurokawa He regarded her, a faint look of bewildered amusement on his face. "I'm really not sure what you could do Miss Lukou." He gave the red mare a faint, but geniunely warm smile, "You are, however, welcome to try." Zui's eyes brightened a bit with the prescence of this gentle mare. ShtrDrNGry " Well, I'm not really sure what I could do either, but I'd like to try." She stepped closer to the stallion, her soft rose eyes looking to him with hope, her features reflecting a soul-deep joy despite the black markings around her eyes. " But maybe later. I'm more curious about you right now, not so much curious about where your Vidia went." The young mare wanted to add that she couldn't have been that smart to leave such a handsome face, but it wasn't her place to put judgement on the other mare any. Yuuka Kurokawa The uni stallion fidgeted shyly as Lukou got closer. Zui's eyes shifted left, then right before he looked into the mare's eyes, "I'm not really sure. I can't find her mother either. It's almost like they never existed. Nobody seems to know anything." He sighed softly as he finished speaking, allowing his story to sink in. ShtrDrNGry Zui's aversion to Lukou's advance struck the mare as strange, his offered words of Vidia's disappearance piquing her curiosity as well. Was he speaking of this other mare and the strange circumstances that seemed to seperate them in hopes she wouldn't want to know him? " Maybe...They were your guides, and they did what they were supposed to and had to leave again?" She wasn't entirely sure that would make sense to the uni, but maybe the crazy things that her troll family believed in weren't so trollish after all. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian nodded his head, conceding Lukou's point."Perhaps. I don't really know what else it could be." The truth was the stallion was not averse to her in particular, but any Soquili in general. Well aside from his herdmate and their list of well known friends. Oddly enough it was only shyness and nothing else thar caused Zui's reaction. Truth be told, Lukou was quite charming and Zui was quickly becoming quite fond of her. ShtrDrNGry " Mama says that sometimes guides and other various spirits don't always make sense right away with their actions, so maybe you won't realize what was going on until you've grown more and can look at the occassion in retrospect." The mare smiled after the stallion, visibly glad that Zui had seemed to relax some. While some small inner part of her hoped she wasn't coming off as some crazed lunatic, the majority of her inner being was quite pleased with the events at hand. Being forcibly nudged into a social encounter wasn't so bad after all! Yuuka Kurokawa "Your mother sounds like a very wise mare." He gave her a slightly bigger smile. She seemed like she had a good head on her shoulders and Lukou didn't seem to be bothered by his haggard appearance or unkempt mane. This encounter wasn't as horrible as Zui was afraid it would be. "What would you like to talk about Miss Lukou?" His voice was much warmer now and much more gentle and refined. ShtrDrNGry Lukou rather beamed after Zuilian as he spoke, the mare completely unphased, or more rather almost comforted by his disheveled appearance and quite happy for the fact that he seemed to be less distracted now. " I just like to talk," she started, a light laughter on her tone. " If you want, you can tell me a little about yourself, and in return I'll tell you about myself?" That sounded quite delightful to Lukou, and she hoped that the stallion would be as open to the idea. Yuuka Kurokawa The stallion let out a soft chuckle, "That sounds like a wonderful idea." He thought briefly and then began to speak, "I don't remember much about before coming to live with my two-legger. Her name is Adsali and I don't remember my past or my family because I have amnesia...or so I've been told." ShtrDrNGry Amnesia? Lukou knew that word. " There's a fluttery stallion that Mama knows that doesn't remember anything from before either." She knew it wasn't her place to try and share another Soquili's story, so she smiled after Zui and left that at that. " Do you have an adoptive family now? One that you do remember?" Family was very important to the young troll mare. Her family stuck close together, and she knew that she would carry that on as she aged. She hoped she didn't sound to insensitive with her questions - She really was too curious for her own good at times. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian pondered the question. Did he have an adoptive family? He supposed so. "There's Adsali and my herdmate Candy Heart. She's been adopted by her friend Akuba as his sister." He smiled gently, "What about you Lukou?" He sincerely wished he could remember his mother and father. Did he have siblings and if he did, did they have children? Maybe one day he could find them.

Continued from above~ ShtrDrNGry Lukou giggled and offered a bright smile after the stallion. She made herself pause a moment to think over how she'd offer that she had quite a large family, as she most definitely didn't wish to offend Zuilian any, or seem like she was bragging. " I have two brothers, Mama'nPapa are talking about growing our family soon though, so maybe I'll have cute little sisters soon. Papa doesn't talk about family any, but Mama has two brothers and a half sister...She's the coolest Aunt ever." The young mare scooted her hooves over the ground where she stood, her person easily excitable when she got to talking of the family she adored so. " Grampa has a few siblings, but I don't think I've met any of them...And there're some cousins, but I don't think I've met them either. I hear a lot about my Great-Gramma, Mama says she's really amazing, but I haven't met them either. Just Gramma'nGrampa so far." The red mare's blush was well hidden under her coloring, and she let out a cute laugh as she tipped her head after the stallion, a sign of her curiosities. " Your herdmate has a fun name...Does she live up to it? Is she super sweet in personality?" It was a silly thing to ask, but she couldn't help it. With a name like 'Candy Heart', the mare had to be something sweet! Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian threw his head back and laughed. He couldn't help it. She was so adorable and excited. Candy would be tickled to have Lukou as a friend. They were a lot alike. "Yes, she is very sweet and kind. I suppose she does live up to it from what I've seen.". He did something he hadn't done in ages, except to Candy as he left. He leaned close to Lukou and nuzzled her cheek affectionately.Zui's eyes widened in sudden realization and he tried to stammer out an apology. ShtrDrNGry Lukou's eyes widened as Zui nuzzled her too, but as the stallion tried to offer an apology, the mare shook her head, soft laughter escaping him as she stepped forward to gently nose against his neck. " You don't have to apologize, Zuilian - It was a little unexpected, yes, but it was a sweet gesture, thank you." She looked to the uni, her rosey eyes offering reassurances while her cheeks grew a darker shade of pinky red. That was undeniable proof that he was comfortable with her, and she beamed with pride over finding her first real friend. Still, the stallion seemed quite embarrassed with himself. Maybe returning to the conversation rather than dwell on the nuzzle any would help him regain his comfort. " Have you and Candy Heart been herdmates for long?" Yuuka Kurokawa He sighed softly, grateful for the fact that Lukou wasn't making a big deal out of the gesture. Relaxing even more, Zui shook his head, "No, we haven't been herdmates that long. It's been only a couple of months." He thought of his next question carefully, "Are there any non-family members in your herd?" ShtrDrNGry " Mm...Not that I know of yet," Lukou offered, her head slowly tilting as she mentally thumbed through names and faces and their relations. " The flutter that Mama knows might be considered a herdmate...The two-legger that leaves Mama'nMe snacks leaves him snacks too?" She really wasn't sure about the flutter - He seemed a little weird to her. Easily distracted and a bit careless...Sure he seemed nice, but Lukou liked at least a little bit of order in her life. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian considered this fact for a moment before he teased Lukou in a grave voice, "Not too sure about him Miss Lukou?" He chuckled and pranced away a bit. ShtrDrNGry Lukou giggled and followed after Zui as he moved off, but kept a comfortable distance from her new friend still. " Well, it's not really that - I just haven't spoken to him at all so I don't really know anything about him." She deeply hoped that Zui wouldn't think less of her over her honesty, but she knew well enough that she was a little different, special in her own ways. Yuuka Kurokawa "Ah I see. Perhaps he's not so bad once you get to know him. It's good that you're honest about those sort of things. I admire that in a Soquili." ShtrDrNGry Zui's words brought a bright smile to the young mare's features. She was grealy relieved that he liked her honesty. " I'm sure that he's very kind once you get to know him. Mama likes him, so he's gotta be good. I like to give all Soquili a chance..Even if I haven't met many yet that aren't related." She giggled and moved a step closer to the stallion, a cute smile reflected in her rosey orbs as she looked to him with adoration. " Have you met many Soquili other than your herdmate and mysterious disappearing guides?" Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian blushed and ducked his head. This was the first time anyone, a mare especially, had looked at him in that manner. He gave a slight nod and cleared his throat, "Yes, I've met several other soquili. There are even miniature ones that stay small even fully grown!" ShtrDrNGry " Really??" Lukou's eyes brightened over thought of these little Soquili. She'd met a very white stallion with multiple pairs of great wings, but outside of the family, the flutter her Mama knew was the only other 'different' breed. Come to think of it, her new friend was the first one she'd seen with a horn and that strange type of tail! " I've never seen a little Soquili before...Do they look like regular-sized Soquili? Or do they have strange proportions?" The idea of staying small forever excited her - She'd often wished as a filly that she and her brothers could stay small so they could play more...Appearently she wasn't wishing hard enough! Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian laughed. She was so eager to learn and so full questions. "They have proper proportions." He tugged her mane playfully. He felt much lighter since meeting Lukou. "I'm very grateful that not every soquili I have met is that small. Regular sized and quite pretty to boot. I'm very glad to have met you Miss Lukou." Here he bent down and plucked a flower, then placed it in her mane. "It suits you quite well." ShtrDrNGry Lukou giggled as Zuilian tugged at her mane. She was glad to hear that the small Soquili were proportioned well for their stature, and silently hoped she'd one day have the pleasure of meeting one. Or maybe five. As the uni offered that he was glad to have met her, the young mare paused, her soft red coat hiding well her blush, even as it darkened in response to his offer of flora to her mane. " Really?" It was all she could manage in the moment. Her heart fluttered within her chest, and she beamed as she looked after the stallion. He was so sweet - Behind his earlier distraction and his mildly rough appearance, Lukou knew there was a gentle soul. Yuuka Kurokawa "Yes really. You, dear lady, are exactly who I needed to meet." He gazed at her fondly before continuing on, "The flower looks even lovelier in your mane." He nudged her cheek affectionately. Thanks to Lukou he felt better than he had in ages "Something tells me you're going to be very good for me dear lady. Perhaps you can meet some of the soquili I know one day." ShtrDrNGry " I'd love to meet them," Lukou started, her eyes watching after the stallion almost unblinkingly as her heart continued to flutter. " Maybe you could meet my brothers sometime, too." The thought of spending more time with her new friend excited her, and she wasn't sure she really understood it. When she was first pushed into this, she thought for sure they would have wondered in different directions after introductions. But here they were, enjoying one another's company. He gave her a flower for her mane, and complimented her. Was she developing a crush on Zuilian? Yuuka Kurokawa "if it meant another chance to bask in your company then I would do so gladly dear lady. You are a joy to be around." He smiled brightly at her as a sense of peace came over him. "I should clean up. I must look frightful. Your brothers might think me a hooligan were I to show up as I am now." The ache left by Vidia's disappearance had dulled considerably in Lukou's company. What he said about her being what he needed...could it be that he felt something beyond friendship for this gentle mare so soon? If this were the case, he would not repeat past mistakes. Zuilian would wait a bit to see if she (along with her parents!) might allow him to court her. Stranger things have happened. ShtrDrNGry " I don't think my brothers would think anything like that of you at all - You don't look bad...Just maybe like you were playing in the wind." Lukou offered a bright, reassuring smile after the mare. She understood the desire to clean up some, but the thought of him leaving so soon almost scared her. If he did venture off to tidy himself up, would he come back? How long would it take? She shifted slightly, almost uneasily as she looked after the stallion, her tail flicking some in her anxious state. " Maybe...while you clean up, though, I can go find at least one of my brothers?" Yuuka Kurokawa "I won't take long at all. Go find your brothers. I will be ready by the time you come back." Zuilian unknowingly spoke words to comfort Lukou. With a gentle smile and a fond gaze he nuzzled the mare affectionately, "I promise dear lady, I will come back. I just need some cleaning up." ShtrDrNGry Zuilian's reassurances comforted Lukou well, and the young mare beamed after the uni as she started - still with a touch of reluctance - away from him. " We'll meet you back here, then?" Of course they would all meet back here, but Lukou just wanted to hear him say it. Yuuka Kurokawa "Right here at this very spot. My teepee isn't far and I know my herdmate and two-legger are eager to help clean me up." He chuckled softly and before Lukou left, Zuilian whispered into her ear, "You have my word, I will come back to you." He nudged her cheek affectionately and stepped back. "Go on, the sooner you go, the sooner you can come back." He said this with a laugh and prepared to leave as well. ShtrDrNGry Lukou's heartbeat quickened as Zuilian leaned close to speak to her again. Yes...She was definitely developing feelings for him, she could feel it in her heart. " Okay, we'll be back soon." She leaned after him to offer a nuzzle, and beamed after him a moment before turning finally to make her way off. Yuuka Kurokawa Zuilian watched Lukou until she disappeared before he turned as well and galloped off at full speed. Heading home to make himself presentable for the meeting. He shook his head and laughed at himself. Who was he fooling, he just wanted to impress Lukou!
Within ten minutes or more he was at his teepee and being pampered by both Candy Heart and Adsali. A stallion had to look proper to impress a lady's family....even if it was just her brothers for now.
