As the barest rays of sunlight crept into the patch of trees, bright blue eyes slowly worked their way open. Usually, Kweupe was an early riser, ready to take on the day as if she only had that day left to live. She looked at life and death in a strange way, probably due to the loss of her birth-parents at such a young age. Life was short, and it was best to live it while you had it, was her motto.
And yet, this morning, she couldn't help but stretch a bit and snuggle back up against the warm, furry body of a friendly, playful male she had run into the day before. Mauja had been the perfect distraction from her worries, interesting and energetic and VERY creative. It was very rare that she run into another similar in demeanor to herself and it was actually quite refreshing. She didn't realize until meeting him how stuffy she felt in the company of most others. Even her twin was too relaxed for her tastes.

Mauja had never liked mornings. Night time had always been his favorite time of day, as he could get away with more stunts in the night. Though he was forced to awaken, as he felt the body that was next to him shift.
Opening his orange eyes, Mauja stretched his face around, trying to wake himself up. He rolled his shoulders in their sockets, and turned his head to the side, so he was now facing the creature he had met the day before.
Boy. That had been fun.
He couldn't quite recall when someone had actually gone along with his antics. Usually, they just got really angry and beat the pulp out of him until he was able to escape. But this one, this one was a nice difference. "Awake already, love?" He yawned, baring his white fangs.

"Mmmmm, I'm usually up early," Kweupe replied, giving him a small grin and a yawn of her own. That done, she moved to flop on top of him, giggling cheekily.
"Meet the day and live it out like you haven't got anymore coming, that's my motto." Morbid as it was. Her bright eyes glanced at him, which was a feat due to her position, but she managed.
"Did you sleep as well as I did?" she asked, tilting her head a bit to one side.

"Oh really?" Mauja raised an eyebrow to her, smirking a bit. "Then I guess I meet every day like I'm going to kill myself." He mumbled slightly, rolling his head to the side to laugh.
"Sleep?" He yawned again, wrapping his tail around hers. "I find that I don't sleep much these days."
Mauja wiggled around a bit underneath Kweupe. He hadn't actually had a female lay on top of him, it was usually the other way around. But he liked the switch, nonetheless.

Kweupe gave him an amused look of questioning accompanied by a small smile at his statement about not sleeping much.
"Really, now? Too busy galavanting about with females, huh?" she asked in a slightly teasing manner, despite the fact that she was really rather curious. Not sleeping was not exactly a good thing for the body, and she couldn't help but want to help him fix that if there was an actual problem with him, rather than him just having other things to do at night.
She huffed at his wiggling and wiggled back before leaning to him and giving his ear a playful n**.

"Well, not particularly." Mauja swiveled his eyes to the side with a smug grin on his face. "I'll just leave that to your imagination." he leaned up, rubbing his nose against hers.
"Fiesty, are we?" he pushed himself up, rolling over on top of her, only he was standing. "You're just a ball of energy." He swished his tail, coiling it around her back leg. Although he was still a tad tired, he was looking forward to having more fun.

Kweupe giggled and wiggled beneath him, lying on her back so that she could reach up and wiggle her toes against his chest.
"Most people hate me for my energy. I usually tell them to go jump in a river," she replied, grinning up at him. She found it hilarious that he would suggest that she imagine it herself, since her imagination was QUITE vivid, but she kept that to herself. It wasn't like he really knew her or anything.
And that was how it was with her. She barely spent any time with Chui before being with him and bearing their cubs. She just... wasn't really the settle down type, but she adored children. Only a few solutions to that, and she had found a good male to share that with.

"Go jump in a river?" Mauja laughed at her ways (and partly at the wiggling toes moving on his chest); it was quite similar to his own ways. Although, Mauja could get a tad aggressive with things.
"I think your energy is wonderful." he lifted one of his paws and rubbed it against her stomach. "In fact, I think that's a wonderful idea to start the day." He moved to the side, running his tail across her nose. "Well, do you want to get wet, silly girl?"

Kweupe's face underwent several changes in only a few seconds. First, she smirked at making him laugh (Oh, she was quite certain her paws helped that). Then her smirk flashed into a childish expression of surprise, her eyes slightly wider and her lips forming a distinct o shape. And then, as if the surprise had never been there at all, she was smiling broadly, eyes showing excitement and enthusiasm.
"That sounds great! Do you know of any around here?" she asked in an excited manner, rolling over and springing up with a bit of a bouncy, ears pricked upwards.

"My dear, I know where everything is." Mauja maintained a cool, smug look upon his face, sliding his tail down all the way down her stomach. "So, are you willing to follow the big bad wolf one more time?" He walked back over to her, leaning his head down right in her face. "Oh, don't tell me you're afraid?"

Kweupe narrowed her eyes and pressed her nose defiantly to his.
"I'm not afraid of anything," she replied in a low voice before quickly licking his cheek. She pulled back with a smirk and rose her chin a bit in a somewhat haughty manner.
"Well, Mr. Wolf, will you lead me to this river, then? Or do you intend to drown me when we get there?" she asked, tilting her head a bit to one side, her tail snaking out to curl around his.

Oh my, she used his own trick against him. Although, Mauja never remembered showing her that, but still. He was usually the one to randomly lick others.
"Drown you?" He raised an eyebrow to her. "I wouldn't drown you right away, just after we have a little more fun." his tone was both palyful and sarcastic, deepening to sound like an actual wolf. "Come with me then, princess."
Walking out of the forest, Mauja knew exactly where to go. He knew a river wasn't far off, just a few yards away.
Upon arriving, Mauja turned, facing Kweupe. "See, now we get to do that whole 'jump in a river' thing." he widened his eyes at her, with a broad smile on his face.

Kweupe followed him, her nerves quivering in excitement. She really did love the water, and it had been a while since she had a good swim. It had been even longer since she had one with someone to play with, who enjoyed it as much as she did. Finding someone like her was the best!
Never one to be very cautious, she slunk past him, rubbing her side against his, then jumped into the water with a small dash, sending water flying.

"Oh, so I guess it's ladies first." Mauja nipped at her tail as she passed by, flinching a little as the water splashed towards him.
He was quick to follow her in, though, as he couldn't resist swimming with someone. He ducked under the water, barely scraping his lanky legs against rocks at the bottom. As if an elephant that had just emerged from the water, Mauja's head popped up in front of Kweupe, spewing water all around from his mouth. Mauja felt just as he did when he was a cub.
