Narcissus was lounging on the grass in front of the water tail fickering as he watched his reflection he'd managed to clean up a bit he was still somewhat dirty however he was working on his mane now.
He was wondering if someone was going to happen around for him to talk to he had his mind slightly on his sisters and his father and his mother. He sighed softly before muttering at a rather stubborn knot in his mane.
"Such a pain you are. Why couldn't Lim's mane pass on to me. At least I wouldn't have to worry about trying to keep it as straight as I do now." He continued to mutter and slightly envy his father.

-The jungle was absolutely breathtaking!
Isabis was smitten, finding herself stopping at nearly every bright, gigantic bloom. It'd been ages since she'd been in the jungle, and now she was beginning to wonder why. Glancing up her heart fluttered as a butterfly, nearly the size of her paw drifted lazily before her.
Purring with contentment she followed happily, nose catching the scent of water before her eyes did.-

Narcissus heard a few rustles in the bushes he glanced over at the bushes and seeing a butterfly he just shrugged softly as he settled back down working on cleaning his fur now.
He looked over in the water, "Today's such a lovely day." He purred talking to himself in the water, "And what a lovely flower you are." It'd been ages since he'd been able to say anything to himself or look at himself in a long while.

-She paused briefly as she saw the back of a leopard, pulled from her trance. But the pleasant tone of his voice, even though the words were too light to make out let her slip back into her peaceful content once again. Sighing softly, happily she pushed forward, letting her eyes glance about the clearing around the water.
More butterflies danced around the bushes, and she pulled closer to the water to get a drink, pausing once more when she happen to notice that... this 'leopard'... had a mane?- "Oh...?"

Nac too was also pulled from his bliss slightly flushed cheeks, though his ebony fur didn't show it. He laid awe-struck for a second she was colorful like his father and before he knew it he was on his feet and bowing.
"My what a pretty lady you are," He looked at her pelt and her decorations, "If my father would have seen me laying down and not paying attention to such a lovely lady's approach why he would've smacked me silly." He looked up to the sky, "Lim forgive me."
With that he gracefully bowed, "May I perchance ask of you're name or shall I just call you rose for you're sweet yellow pelt with the butterflies makes me think of nothing more sweet smelling." A wide grin suddenly fell from his face.
"Oh dear, oh dear forgive me, how rude I am!" He bowed again, "I should introduce myself before getting caught up in such beauty. I am Narcissus milady, but everyone calls me Nac."

-She was absolutely flattered, and it was quite noticable, ears falling back, head cocking back towards her chest shoulder in coy appreciation. Isabis, despite her name, didn't get flattered or hit on incredibly often. Being a wanderer she wasn't around others THAT often, and the one who liked her.. perhaps even loved her... he was so shyly innocent that his affection sounded in a far more subdued manner.
That said.. the 'goddess' certainly didn't dislike this rare thing. Surely this was how a goddess SHOULD be treated.
Giggling a little, pushing aside any question of his strangeness for the moment, she purred just a little, smiling softly.- "And I'm Isabis, Goddess of Butterflies. Pleasure to meet you Narcissus."
-She quite liked the long name actually.. it flowed like a beautiful melody from the tongue. Still glowing in appreciation, her brain finally picked out the words father and Lim, glueing together the pieces with that familar purple pelt. Shifting to face him better, she laughed once more, fishing to see if she was correct.- "Of course, If the Lim you're speaking of is the one I know I don't think he'd smack anyone."

Nac's head tilted grinning softly at her. "And what a pretty goddess you are." He said sitting looking at her feathers and inspecting her pelt interested in each detail. Of course she didn't look much like what he'd expect a goddess to look, knowing his father but he wasn't about to take that away from her.
His tail flickered as he smiled having watched her in her flattered state. "Oh what a pretty name!" He said, "Isabis! A great name for such a pretty rose." His smile was back and perhaps a bit more so as his tail flickered.
He started laughing, "Perhaps, hum, so you know my father hum?" His grin grew wider. "I haven't seen the big lug in a while." He chuckled, "Silly god's always off doing something."
He puffed out his chest, "I get my good looks from him you know?" He winked and then added, "Of course my looks are nothing compaired to yours miss. What brings you around here?" He was curious as to what would bring the lady to the jungle.

"Thank you." -A short, sweet whisper to his compliment, followed with a soft nod of her head in appreciation. And she laughed a little at his comment on her name, musing gently.- "It would be a fitting name for a rose actually, it means simply 'something beautiful'."
-Letting her eyes settle back on his coat she inspected him lightly, nodding in soft agreement to his statement.- "You do look quite a bit like him, but with that nice black to stand against the purple. Very lovely indeed. Of course you have much more of a mane, and tail for that matter."
"What am I doing? Just wandering really. I saw the jungle in the distance and I figured I'd visit again. I always did love the flowers and butterflies that lived here. So much more vibrant and larger than life." -Taken in by his excitement, she winked playfully.- "Are you like them too Narcissus?"

His tail flickered as he listened to her ears perked as he seemed to be thinking. "Ah indeed, but it suits you much better my dear. For I think rose is a pretty name as well. However they can't walk and talk. So why ever would we give them your name."
He chuckled softly, "Ohh yes... I think his tail is much more grander sadly. As mine lacks fluff and vines of grapes." He shook his head, "Much too sad really." He softly then shrugged, "While I do have a full mane I'd rather it be something like his. Looks much harder to get it all in a mess."
He had at this point wrinkled his nose and started trying to smooth it again having noticed from the water that there was still some tangles in it. "As for the black that come from my mother." He nodded with a sober look his thoughts wondering where she was before turning back to smile at his new lady friend.
He chuckled, "Ahhh I think I'm a bit too vain to be like normal flowers. For you see I was named after a flower that loves to look at itself in the water." He grinned puffing his chest out again. Before thinking, "Then again depends on how you mean am I like them." He grinned and winked back.

"I certainly think you ARE larger than life." -She mused pleasantly, pondering over the male's father. He too was pretty flamboyant, but Nac was a different kind of his own. Certainly he'd pick up a bit of his domain though too, for the smile wouldn't leave her mouth.
Perhaps then.. that was why he looked so strange? It made sense, he must have been a god too.
Reaching a paw out to test the coolness of the water, she purred gently.- "I think I might rest here for a little while if you don't mind the company. I could use a little shade and time off my paws before I head back to the Pridelands."

Narcissus smiled, "Well thank you miss." He purred softly still trying to get all the knots out as he found one practically stubborn knot he wrinkled his nose.
He chuckled, "Of course milady. I don't mind the company at all." He looked around watching the fish in the river. "You wouldn't happen to be hungry would you?"
His tail flickered as he lurked over to the river watching the fish waiting for her answer. "Hum, the pridelands?" He asked seeming to muse the possibilities. "What are those like Isabis?" He asked having traveled a bit he didn't get to see much of the world before deciding to come back and look for his mother. Whom he still couldn't find one ear flicked back in thought before pushing it away.

-Her mind wandered gently back to another occassion of grooming and hair talk that she'd had back in her adolescent days, being coming amused by the sense of deja vu that swept through her. Eye's following the fish as he mentioned them, she nodded softly.- "I'm not starving, but I could eat. Ecspecially fresh fish, I don't get that very often."
-Settling in a little more comfortably, she babbled softly.- "Ohhh, my friend lives there actually. Though really I'm a rogue, I'd say most of my life has been spent in the roguelands around that pride though... It seems friendly enough, and there is plenty of food. I've never been ran off."
"I only just saw the inside the other day though. There is a great large rock, and lots of nice watering holes. So many lions though, but they seem just as nice as the stories I've heard."
"It's a little busy for my tastes, I don't know that I'd ever want to live in one pride, but it was quite a nice place to visit."

Even though Nac had been out of tune with fishing he easily managed, after about three failed attempts that is, to catch two of the largest fish he'd seen. Taking one to his new goddess friend and laying it down in front of her and he went back to fetch his. Which was almost back in the water. "Oh... bad fish, no." He said grabbing it.
Of course he was listening to her and his ears flickered as his head tilted, he was picking off the fish scales as he did when he was a child. It was more of a habit he picked up after his sisters left.
"Sounds like an interesting group of lions." He said thinking before taking a claw and cutting into the fish's skin and tearing it down the middle so he could cut out chunks and eat the meat without the scales. "I haven't really been around prides. So you know I wouldn't know if I'd ever want to settle down in one."

-His efforts were rewarded with a playful little sound of triumph and thankfulness, paws clapping, once, twice, sending the her beads into a clacking frenzy. And she inspected it for a long moment after he'd set it before her, taking in it's color and size with soft interest before finally she slit it's side, biting daintily at the soft meat.
Her tail swayed contentedly, nibbling here and there at the fresh meat as they spoke, nodding in agreement to his statement.- "I can think of many good reasons to be in a pride. If you get lonely often, if you have some problem that makes it hard for you to care for yourself, if you have children you'd like to keep safe, or someone you love who is tied to the pride. But... I don't know. I kind of like wandering really. Who knows what the future holds though, maybe one day one of them will catch my eye."

Narcissus smiled tail flickering. As he ate the chunks of meat he cut out with his claws. Her beads were quite interesting as he watched him with his head tilted.
He seemed to think some when she said lonely. "I bet that's where my mother is then. In a pride." He nodded softly he'd been wondering why he couldn't find her actually he knew she use to be around here.
"Eh I haven't done much wondering yet. Did go a little ways then decided to come check on mother...." He paused, "However no mother here it would seem." He chuckled softly. "And maybe one of them will." He shrugged as his tail flickered, "If they do you should let me know somehow. Perhaps by Lim so I can come visit."
He smiled as his tail flickered, "After all pretty flowers shouldn't be left without companions to come visit even if they are in a pretty flower bed."
