i think it would be incredible! i've always dreamed of having one. i'm not anywhere near spoiled; but i was so far from graduating my dad said, 'if you graduate high school on time i will get you one'.
that would be tight! i was ecstatic and taken over with complete euphoria. so, i caught up with all the credits i needed. and i will graduate next school year, being a senior.
but the thing is. those precious, beautiful vans are really bad for the environment, i hear. i also hear that their parts constantly break down. and that the replacement parts cost some serious doe. but i still waaaaaaaaant one.
and then. my dad said to me that he found this great car. a 73 [i think] oldsmobile cutlass. he says it's way nice, and works really well. that i would like it because i also am in love with muscle cars. but i bet those are bad for the environment too.
i'm at a loss. i don't know what to do. can anyone offer me any advice? am i being selfish?
i mean come on, imagine all the possibilities of having that van; that freedom. ☺

I've also always wanted a teal '66 VW bus myself, and I agree, it would be most definitely wicked!
As for me, I'm on my own on coming up with the money. Graduated with a straight A's since 8th grade, but that really don't help our money situation any. whee
All of the VW buses I've seen for sale are usually all fixed up with particularly eco friendly new parts, but they are very expensive. And I've also seen the shells of 'em, but it would cost a lot of money to fix it up.
Kieftenklock.nl sometimes has some nice ones for a decent price, as well as thesamba.com.
Well, good luck and I hope you find the one your looking for. =]

There are two types of cars I have always wanted. A VW Bus, plain white, so I can spray paint the peace symbol on it and flowers and such. Or, a 72' Camaro SS. Those have been my two dream cars. My friend says the Bus' are death traps because he said that you will break your legs sitting in the drivers seat because apparently the seats are to far up and you can't move'em back. I would love to go camping with one of them or would love to go to a Vanstock sometime. Speaking of Vanstock, anyone else think there should be another Woodstock in a few years?

I really want a baby blue VW minibus. :] I've wanted one since I was in like 3rd grade!
When I get one, I'm going to paint it all up with my friends. It will be so groovy man! And the drivers door is going to be sunshine yellow. smile

Oh man, that is my dream as well, to get a graffiti artist to do his stuff to it, get Hendrix on the side with his guitar. Lots of peace and heart symbols everywhere, lots of flowers, ohhhh man.

I love the style of vehicles from the 60s and 70s. Sadly, they're not very fuel efficient and pollute the environment worse than cars of today. Still, I love the feel of American muscle, it's always a joy to drive my dad's 1967 Chevelle SS.

I know, the fuel efficiency is the only reason I wouldn't buy one, but then I think once I got one I would treasure it really well, so I wouldn't drive it around as much, plus I would have saved up for it for years so maybe I could get a new engine in it or something? I would ask around.
Pff, I know nothing about cars, so I don't know, hahahaha.
