Perhaps she should be, a tad bit concerned. The forest was dark, perhaps even suffocating, dank from the recent rains, and yet - - oh so alive and wondrous. The sun peeked through the ceiling of leaves and branches, setting to sparkle and shimmer the dew encrusted world. Her thief's eye was full of victory and she all but purred in her satisfaction with the beauty of this place.
Now if only she could take this scene back with her, hold it close and horde it away... then she could never find a fault in the world for the rest of her life. Or at least until the next day, then she'd see how she felt ~
"Ye got'ta reasin' for bein' out 'ere this time..?" The abrupt snorting comment made her blink, looking down with a slightly bewildered expression to the scowling ferret beside her. Kione was no fan of random explorations, though he still stuck with her like a burr when she opted for an adventure. Such a faithful little guy.
Edana shrugged, picking up her pace once again as she slipped through the scarcely visible path before her. A deer path, really... or more like a bunny one, but it was still there in her sharp vision. "I'm curious what little treasures might have come out cuz of the rain." She gave him a winning grin and wink, tail flicking in enthusiastic thrill. "Who knows what we'll stumble across today, my little friend."
Kione gave another snort, but kept his silence after that, skittering on alongside her, creeping under the brush she would either need to step over or around to clear. It was not yet noon, and somewhere off to her left she could hear the brook that whisked by her home, sputtered on to the larger river that in turn rushed onwards towards the sea. She would not go that far, perhaps not even stick to the water on this trip. As of yet, nothing in this forest has proved threatening, and really few things were even interesting enough for the filly to give much of a thought to her travels. As of yet, they were nothing but chances to escape her family's attentive eyes, something she would gladly take whenever she could, of course.
"Here's hoping for some fun~"

"Caloo! Callay!" A young striped foal of green on a gray and creamy peach pelt, bounded around a much smaller purple and blue foal in a jiddering, hyperactive dance. She kicked her feet in the air, laughing merrily as the smaller young mare rolled her eyes, "You shouldn't be so mimsy, Kaliska. Its a frabjous day! Enjoy it! Why look we even have playmates! I can be the Jabberwock."Kaliska sighed, the watered down little quarter Kalona shaking her head, "could you use real words please? I don't know what you are -- ohno! PRAETORIA STOP!"Ignoring her heeding cry, the oversized foal went charging at the two distant figured, laughing joyously as she bound through tangled, bristly brushes, not even noticing the sting of their thorns as they swept past her already raw front legs, "Blurble blurble! Ha-ah!"

The shout had caught the attention of the two beyond, maroon and amber eyes to the strangers as the sickly green and gray mass darted towards them. "Run!" the ferret yelled, bolting up a tree, his claws digging into the bark as he scrambled his way up onto the safety of a branch. "Ed!"
Edana stuck her ground, crouching low like a feline with her gaze steady on the incoming... foal? "What the--?!" With a snarl and a snort she turned and ran to the left, leaping, ducking, forcing her way beyond the natural obstacle course, adjusting her direction to face the voice she'd originally heard. That had been where that little giant had come from, hadn't it? "You need to watch where you're goin', psycho!" she called to the big filly, giving a sharp whistle for her blue and black companion as she continued towards the darker stranger ahead.
"That one with you?" was the simple question once she got close enough to not shout, slowing down to keep a fair distance from the foal with the strange horns and cloven hooves. Huh. Never seen stuff like that before.
Kione, sticking to the trees to avoid the crazier of the two, made his way towards where Edana had raced off to. "Ju' don't let the other one get t' yer back,"

"Don't mind her -- she's just annoying." Kaliska smiled slightly as Praetoria skid to a stop from her laughter and playful chase.
"Hey!" Pouting, the striped mare swished her tail, trotting more deliberately in an almost dancelike gait, "I'm not annoying -- I just wanted to play."
Kaliska sighed, the older looking, if much smaller mare giving a defeated expression, bowing her head gently towards the other mare and her companion, "I apologize -- She hasn't encountered any foals other then myself, so seeing you she assumed... You'd be more playful then I am."
