just wondering what everyone thinks is the best album cause my friend likes lateralus but personally i like aenima the best with 10,000days second? so which is best and y

I think Lateralus still stands as the pinnacle of Tool's career. Ænima would be a close second for me, but there's simply too many stupid filler tracks in it for it's own good, along with poor mastering.
I've never been into Undertow, save for a few songs, and I still think 10,000 Days was a massive yawn.

Aenima is my favorite of the bunch, but I like a lot of things about other albums.
I love Opiate. I love most of Undertow. I love some of Lateralus. I prefer the Third Eye, Part of Me, and Pushit versions from Salival to their counterparts, and like the Zeppelin cover and Maynard's d**k. I liked a good portion of 10,000 Days, too.
In Lateralus and 10,000 Days, it seems they took a few songs, and really poured everything into them.

I go with undertow, its the only album where I like practically every song, the others for me are more mix and match.

What? No Opiate? Granted its an EP but still. HMMM where to start...I'm going to cast my vote for Aenima.I like the "aggresiveness" of Undertow and Opiate but as far being taken somewhere with the music neither of the two really do anything for me. With that being said Lateralus is very well done and I throughly enjoy it....just something about it seems to refined. Not anything against it..just that i prefer the mix of aggressive and over all song message. Salival is a very good time as well. The "revision" of Pushit is very nice.The Peach cover is pretty cool as well....cant mention Salival with out briniging up the Zep cover.Last but not least 10000 Days okay album.not the best work but its sttill Tool. Wings pt.1 & 2 are in my opinion the gems of that album. Along with Right In Two. I feel dirty for having to pick one album over another.

I love all of them so much! The hardest decision was if I like Undertow, or 10,000 Days better.
