Rhiannon swung her shopping bags, boots heels clipping on the pavement as she wandered along, only idly glancing into the shop windows to the right of her as she walked. She'd pretty much bought everything that she'd wanted to get..mostly just clothes in her new size. Her wait had fluctuated for a while with her emotional problems, but she was eating properly now and regaining her curves. She popped her gum as she strolled, glancing at the old watch on her wrist.
'Oh, so that's why my belly is talking to me.'
She gave it a pat with her fingers, looking for somewhere she fancied popping inside for a bite to eat. Her feet brought her to the outside of a cafe, all bright colours on the inside. The smell of food, along with the chatter of the patrons slipped out as a couple opened and walked out the entrance door. She looked at the menu hanging in the large glass front of the cafe, deciding if there was anything they did that she wanted before going in, her tail idly swinging behind her.

As fate would have it, this day also brought Kendall to the same establishment and for the same reason. Ordinarily his jaunts for lunch took him only a few doors over from Gamecrazy to pick up a slice of pizza or a sandwich. Having thoroughly driven both into the ground as of late, however, had urged him to broaden his wanderings to seek out something, maybe, less greasy for once.
And where Rhiannon paused at the menu before going inside, the young man brushed past her to give the door a nudge with his shoulder, met with, instead of it opening, a rattle of glass and resistance that jarred up his arm.
....oh. Right. Making a face at himself, he grabbed for the handle to properly PULL it open instead...
....just as the engraved metal letters suggested he ought to.

Rhiannon looked over to see who swept close by her and smiled as she watched the young man try and push the door open, trying not to giggle as he seemed to bounce off it a bit.
As he was about to pull the door open there was an internal click in her mind and she reached, tapping him on the shoulder.
'Hey, Kendall, got that door worked out now?' she flicked her hair off her shoulder, ignoring the nagging feeling that somehow she had to apologise to him about something..well she was sure that if there was, it would either come to her or he'd be cross and explain.

Kendall noticeably flinched and then whirled to look over his shoulder at the source of the voice. One that was familiar in a way that made his tail stand on end.
Seeing Rhiannon, his eyes grew wide. "Uhm..." he faltered, seeming to shrink back against the door. He wasn't, exactly, sure the proper way to react to someone who, last he'd seen her, had invaded his bedroom and tried to climb into his lap. And so he fell back on his default response when faced with socialization - dumb panic.

The niggling feeling grew as she saw Kendall's reaction once he'd seen her. Rhiannon felt - guilt? Or a slight sense of embarrassment, she still couldn't put her finger on it properly. If they stood here too long though, they'd be blocking the entrance to the cafe.
'I'm not gonna eat you.' she said, nodding towards the interior. 'Let's go in..I'm thinking there's something we need to talk about.'
Quite what that something was, well that was still unclear to her.
