I played it about a week ago but I forgot to tell you guys. They have it on display at walmart. I wasn't that impressed with it though. After hearing all of the cool things the rev could do I guess I just asumed that all of the 3rd generation systems were going to be that exicting. Man was I wrong, the graphics are great but I just didn't think that it was next generation material. Has anyone else played it?

Third generation? From what era do you hail..? This is, to my knowledge, the sixth generation. (seventh if you count pre-1983 as before the 8-bit generation)
I haven't played it, I dreamed about playing it TWICE, now, but I really don't want to. It doens't sound like anything we never saw before. Nothing earth-shattering.

I bet it was PlayStation fanboys calling it the Third Gen. Either that or ignorant people who assume it's the third generation because it's the third PlayStation console.
MS and Sony are afraid to do what Nintendo's doing. Nintendo is trying to grab everyone in their own, quirky way (the controller is shaped like a TV remote, enabling people who aren't used to playing video games to adapt to it). MS is so transfixed with keeping their 18-23 Male demographic that even the controller didn't change (It got white, sure, but that's about it (excluding the size change from the original MammothXBox controllers to their more form-fitting cousins)). Sony's torn between trying to discover Nintendo's plans and MS's plans for the next generation and produced the 'boomerang' controller. Props to Sony for trying something new, but I don't think many people like the design.

It's funny, I kept telling people it doesn't look like a boomerang and it's just the angle of the camera that makes it look funny, but yesterday I was looking at photo's from diffrent angles and I was like "Holy crap, it really IS a frickin' boomerang!"
I hate Sony for their banner at E3 that reads "Welcome Change" even though Sony is the only company that refuses to change at all, they still have the same buttons on the controller since the PS1 (there were controllers released with two analog sticks for PS1 after 1997 when Nintendo released the N64 wich held the very first analog control stick in videogame history) and furthermore, you still can't do more with a PS3 than you already can with a PSX (PSX is a special edition PS1 released back in 2001 that could play DVD's) besides that it has better graphics.

They want to cling onto the past and rember the good old days instead of moving forward and bieng apart of what could be more good days.

I laugh at people who complain how the rev's controller looks like a tv remote. At least most people use one everyday but how often do you use a boomerang. It's been years since I've actually seen one.

*Copies his post at Nintendo Cult* >.>
I played the Three-shitty today, it was far from what I expected, the graphics were nice and all, but still only 2x anti-aliasing and not enough polygons to be impressive. I am not impressed and lost most of my respect. They gained most of the respect I had by having subtle advertisement on websites. A white banner with a logo and 'xbox 360' in light green. Subtle and not annoying, unlike PS2 game ads, those are always flashing and distracting. >.<
At least the games looked fun, but they weren't games I'm ver interested in, I played that Gotham Racing game and they put a lot of detail in it that you woulden't expect, they actually payed a bunch of attention to the backgrounds and the people. I love how the people nearly panic and jump back when you crash into the sides. And when they calm down they start taking pictures and cheer you on, it looks cool because every single character in the audience has it's own little actions, instead of several copies that do exactly the same thing at the same time and look the same. I crashed into the same spot three times and payed attention to a bunch of the people and each time they reacted diffrently, in fact, the third time half of them hardly reacted at all and just took a bunch of pictures. Note that not all audience people have cameras and there's also a lot of ways for them to take pictures, they raise the camera msot of the time so they can take the picture over the heads of the people in front of them. There isn't anything I'd call bad about that game, so far as I've seen of it, but I don't really like racing games, so I woulden't buy it anyway.
The 360 controller isn't bad, with two analog triggers and two digital L and R shoulderbuttons it's a lot more practical than the two tiny black and white buttons on the original xbox controllers. (S and large) Though the controller is slightly more comfortable than the S version, it's not great yet. And it doesn't add anything new... It doens't have the 'click' either, like the GameCube's analog shoulder buttons do.
I woulden't buy the 360, really don't have any intention to.

Nono, see, 32-bit and 64-bit are one generation. Because N64 was the only real 64-bit console and that'd mean Nintendo was left out of the 32-bit Generation and has a whole generation of their own. That'd be silly. And even though N64 was released two years after the 32-bit consoles and 2 years before the first 128-bit console, it's still not a seperate generation.
