[-Welcome and such-]

So i have been on gaia since 2007. Not very long actually. Well, its long enough to polish up my role playing skills.
Ha i remember the days when i did it in first person...oh good times. Then i started on third. Only did about three words. Now i do at least two paragraphs of great and wonderful detail. How did i do it?

Well a gaian came up to me and gave me pointers. And that is what i am going to give you.

First we need the pointers

~With the Character/IC (in character)~

-name- (always!)
-feeling- (seldom or sometimes)
-where- (mostly!)
-when- (definitely!!)
-with who- (who are you referring to)(if applicable)
-wearing- (in about the first post you do in every day; day meaning the next day in the role play not the next day in real life)
-text talk- (NEVER!)(unless okay)
-decorative- (optional) ((in next post))

~in Out Of Character (OOC)~
-text talk- (sometimes)
-pretty- (if you want)
(its just like posting regularly (not for rp), but making sure people know that your OOC)

Really spelling is something you need to learn.
If you don't know that much spelling or grammar its okay.
No one is really perfect.

Well, there really is no.
"i am ready to role play"
You are always ready, even if you only write one sentence
all the time!
Its really okay.
You get better as you go along
because you learn new words, how to spell, and how to put together

getting started-]

Know that you know pretty much all the basics your almost ready. You just need a bit more. . .

when you want to role play make sure you choose the right ones. Role playing actually involves reading which means...reading.

~Read the rules. Most of them are really simple.
~read the storyline. You have to know what your joining
~and just read everyones posts if possible. at least read your partners post
