Ellandra sighed as she tried to politely ignore Faolan's asking her to come sit down so he could listen to the babies' heartbeats - for the umpteenth time this morning. She needed to clean the vardo and had been trying to since she'd woken up that morning; Rhian had gotten a little manic on her last fluffy-treat eating spree, which had left a mess that desperately needed cleaning.
Said butterfly was now being denied her favorite snack for an entire week thanks to the fact that she'd somehow managed to leave sugar-residue amongst the mess of cards and feathers, making it that much harder to clean. she'd apologized, but was now pouting in the rafters about not getting her snack. ("A whole week? That isn't fair at all!")Ellandra would have been insisting the flutterby help her, but really, there wasn’t' much she could do aside from setting a few displaced objects back in position, and the brunette wanted something to occupy her morning with anyway.
Cleaning the hurricane-Rhian mess that was the front room of the vardo really shouldn't be taking this long. She'd have been done by now, surely she would have, but Faolan kept trying to get her to sit down so her could listen to the twins' heartbeats. Yes, it was an amazing thing, and reassuring to them both, but she couldn't hear it, and there were things to be done rather than sitting still while her husband got a dopey-happy-Daddy grin with his head pressed to her belly!
"No, Faolan, I mean it! Please, I want to get at least this much clean," she said, trying to straighten out her small collection of books and reorganize them, while taking stock of the damage Rhian had caused - this one needed pages taped in, that one had its binding loosened, this one was intact well enough.... "I'm sure they sound just like they did five minutes ago, anyway," she added, debating the worth of locking the fortune-teller into the bedroom alone for a little while. . .
No, not worth it. He'd probably just break out anyway.

Fao pouted, following his wife around the small room like a puppy begging for a hand-out. Oh, he'd been pestering her alright, but he couldn't help it. Now that he could hear his children, he wanted to listen to them all the time. He'd never gotten to hear the other children he'd fathered, the ones that hadn't been allowed to be born.
"You've been cleaning all morning. You should be resting anyway with the twins. Sit down already," Fao said, gesturing to a chair.

"I'm fine," Ellandra said, rather distractedly as she inspected a book that. . . . had a hole chewed through it? What in the - oh, never mind, that one wasn't worth keeping anyway, she decided, carrying it over to the trash can in the other corner. Truthfully she wasn't as fine as she claimed, and sitting down did sound good, but. . . . . not when it was just an excuse for Faolan to listen to the babies - which really wasn't fair anyway, that he could hear them and the only sign she had of their presence was fatigue and nausea, the tiny, peevish part of her that she usually denied a voice complained. "There's still so much left to clean, too - I haven't even gotten half of this mess cleaned up," she lamented as she dropped the chewed-through book into the garbage pail.

"La, woman, I'll hire a maid!" Fao sighed, exasperated. He held up his hands in surrender and then dropped them to his side. "Alright, I won't do that, but I'll help clean if you just sit down for a little while. I don't want you overdoing it." He motioned the chair again, almost flailing in its general direction.

Ellandra blinked, sighing mournfully at the loss of that book, and looked at Faolan. "Overdoing it? It's just cleaning, Faolan." Was she going to admit that sitting down sounded really good right now, that resting sounded nice? That she was more tired than she should be from just mild cleaning?
Not on your life.

Faolan thought for a moment, then grinned at her. "I'll give you a foot massage and a back rub."

Ellandra paused and considered that for a moment. "W-well..." She said, sorely tempted by that offer. Alas, the decision of whether to clean or rest was taken from her, as a rather intense dizzy spell - oooh, drat being pregnant at times, though she loved the babies, this was a pain!- took her and forced her to stumble to the nearby chair and fall into it rather than sit gracefully. "Ooohhhh..."

A look of concern crossed the young man's face briefly as he hurried to his wife's side, though he relaxed once he saw she was alright. Kneeling before her, Faolan began slipping off Elle's shoes and socks, watching her with a glint of amused desire in his eyes. Upon having her barefooted, he got up, motioning her to stay put, and fetched the wash basin and some water, then sat back down at her feet and began washing them gently.

Ellandra squeaked, having only half-realized he'd meant what he said. "W-what? Really, Faolan, I have to get back to - " she cut herself off in the middle of her sentence, dizziness getting to her again . . . along with the sheer sweetness of this little gesture.

"Shh," Faolan soothed quietly, finishing with the washing of Ellandra's feet. He set the washcloth and basin aside, then scooted around so he was sitting comfortably on the floor. Taking Elle's left foot, he began massaging it gently, thumb and fingers working at the tired muscles, soothing the aches away. Pulling her foot up, Faolan brought it to his lips, closing his eyes, and trailed tiny kisses along the top.

Ellandra squeaked, but finally closed her eyes and relaxed, nearly falling asleep in her chair. "Ooohhhh....."

Faolan watched his wife's reaction, eyes half-closed with the pleasure he felt in indulging her. He set her foot against his chest, massaging her ankle and calf as well. "See? Worth sittin' for a spell, yeah?" He dipped his head down to kiss her foot again, liking the intimacy.

"Mmm....... maybe," Ellandra said, tugging her foot away after a moment. Sighing softly (and a little reluctantly), she moved to get up. "I really do need to get back to cleaning, Faolan. . ."

"Sit your a** back down, woman," Faolan said without malice, giving her a look. "At least let me get your other foot." He picked up her right foot, keeping her from getting up, and proceeded to massage it as well, planting small kisses along it as well.
