~~The Sea~~ Transfixed I stand and watch the Tireless Sea As it's waves crash upon the shore, spraying it's white, salty foam Against the jagged rocks and cliffs below, then returning into itself
The tireless sea wherein its immeasurable depth secrets lie buried, never to be revealed
The tireless sea whose temperament is so mystifying it neither fears, nor needs any man but gathers its strength from within.
~~By: Elizabeth Tew~~ Saniya's Mask - I drew this because I missed seeing my darling as a mask, and it pains me much the same as it would pain a mother to not see her child for the first moments of its life. My beautiful girl as she was just re-achieving awareness, its hard to believe how little time I have actually had with her. Saniya as a Little Girl - Because of reasons I'm not sure I understand, I missed seeing Sani as a Masque, though I expect that she was just as beautiful.
Like a Vermeer painting, the young Masque sits quietly for her portrait, standing a petite 4'9" Saniya sits with one of her legs curled under her and the other poised for her to stand. A silver anklet like stream accents her slender legs, as her sea foam hair flows like a river down her back curling around the backs of her thighs in a classic fashion she leans back on her delicately shaped hands.
The mask on her face is blue with tall eyelash like fins extending above her aqua eyes in a manner reminiscent of a crown, it shimmers and glitters like the light of the sun on water, that could almost be a reflection off the Dutch canals... Wearing a long dark satin dress that comes to mid-calf and has a scooped neckline and 3/4 length sleeves, on the entire she calls up images of a singer on stage the way the gown flows over her young body reflects the movement of kelp beneath the waves. The image is just as hypnotic as the sirens song... Like the girl herself must have been, so long ago....
Triveni Self Portrait - Adding a personal touch to Saniya's Memories, her Guardian Trivii drew a self portrait and left it for her on the girls desk. Not a talented artist, love makes its pressence known in the sharp pencil lines conducted by Trivii, and the smile sketched onto the normally emotionally supressed features. Saniya with Skill Stone Tattoo's - This was a surprise to me... but not an unwelcomed one. The abilities that she gained could be a huge advantage to a girl as delicate as she is... Though her elegant Vermeer-esque pose remains the same, Saniya's new portrait reflects a mature light in her eyes that wasn't there before, alowwing us to see a great ease and a sense of inner balance. Almost as though she could melt into a pose before you and sing you into ruin... The presence of a new light blue tattoo on her neck is lightly veiled by a sea foam lock draping over her shoulder and down her chest neatly framing the other tattoo, this one a blue-green placed just below her collar bone on her chest showing the world what has added to Saniya's inner maturity... The Christmas Card - Sani chose this card for its simplicity, she desperately wanted to share it with the other Masques. Cards allow us to share in the Holiday spirit, an uplifting time of year where we can share with others and exchange gifts. Fauve and Kasai's Christmas Card - A touching thought that simply made Sani giddy, apparently she doesn't know either Fauve or Kasai very well, but she did enjoy the sentiment. ~~My Ocean~~ I have an ocean behind my eyes, Midnight blue with crystal sky's, It's a sweeping ocean I can see, Poseidon knows the depths of me.
There's colours and life beyond belief, Fun and laughter on my barrier reef. My water's edge is clear as can be, I know at times you can see through me.
But there are depths beyond your sight, With inky blackness like the night, There is a cave held deep within, Where anger and my pain lives in.
I always choose and act with care, To see these feelings stay in there. My life is filled with shallow pools, But I don't suffer any fools.
There's a shipwreck down at the bottom, For lost loves and people not forgotten, It serves as a reminder to me, That after the pain lives serenity.
(Length Edited)
~~By: Neil Hudson~~ Saniya as a Beautiful Teenager - She's still quite petite, though breathtakingly beautiful. From Vermeer to Lord Leighton, the teen's portrait shows the loving detail of curve and caress from her dress to her hair, much as the work of said famous portraitist. In truth the portrait shows that she has grown into an honest to goodness Siren of myth. Her pose posessing a unique tempting air that allows one to believe that they gaze on an ideal of feminine beauty as she sits with her legs demurly curled one covered hand resting on her ankle. The artist seems to say that with a single syllable she could bring a man to ruin. Could it be the seductive sadness that radiates through aquamarine eyes? Or the call of power. We shall never know, so lost are we in the attraction of mournful innocence.

Creative and captivating, diplomatic and intuitive, Water individuals are the masters of subtle persuasion. Without even appearing to try, they can gain someone's trust and affection, and once they've got them persuaded they'll follow the water anywhere. Capable of making everyone feel special, noting and praising each person's unique talents. With inherent pliability, the fluid calm that makes them so appealing, can also make them sometimes too passive, too willing to be what someone wants them to be. Taking the shape of whatever container they choose. Elemental AbilitiesHealing wells churn and bubble When on the moon we call Drawing down the healing power To be shared with one and allAbilities Water Calling - The ability to call up water from underground. Water Finding - The ability to find water in any and all situations. Water Transmuting - The ability to change waters form from solid to liquid to gas. Hydrokinesis is the ability to influence the motion of groups of atoms in their liquid state. Unlike pyrokinesis, nothing is created. The talent merely allows one influence the motion of liquids. Though in most cases it requires line of sight to manipulate an object. A real connection must be established with water, and not just the physical substance, but the Element itself. Take the time to totally surround and submerge yourself in it if need be. Take it into your being. Become a master of water. Become water. Allowing yourself to sense the water in front of you, feel its energy and merge it with yours. See in your mind's eye the link between you and the liquid. Feel its smoothness, its cool healing properties. You and water are one and the same. Just as you have control over your own energies, so too do you have control over water. Healing WatersBright the fires burn, to light the darkest night Pure is the water that flows over our hands tonight Embracing children, with hands of light Sweet scented air, Rises in the night.Ice Queen The power of water is astonishingly flexible. Water can cut through steel, you know. Ice can rip apart entire structures. "Distructive yet Cleansing" Those are the words used to describe Fire, though Fire like Hate to Love, is Waters Twin element, so mayhap the description that should be used for water is "Cleansing yet Distructive." Maybe thats why the volcanic minerals and warmth of Hot Springs have been utilized since early history to restore health and vitality to the injured or ill. Revered for centuries because of its healing properties, water is present at ancient sacred sites, examples including Bath England, the Wells of Saint Bridget in Ireland, and the Dead Sea. No one has ever been able to explain the effect water has on people, from relaxing in the bath tub or taking a hot shower, to swimming in the ocean, most of humanity swears by its powers. However the reason may be as simple as human nature; we want to believe, and when you want to believe in something even the vaguest evidence is enough. The Power of simple Faith defies reason, and humanities blind faith in The Healing Powers of Water may well come from the waters expelled during birth, or the sometimes not even remembered Baptism of an infant. Those born under the influence of Water often find themselves becoming the 'Strong Friend' the unshakable loved one, or litterally, the port in a storm. Healing others of past tragedy or conflict. Often washing away the tears and offering advice, just as frequently as they tend to broken bones or scraped knees. Water- The ace of elements: Tom Robbins Water dives from the clouds without parachute, wings or safety net. Water runs over the steepest precipice and blinks not a lash. Water is buried and rises again; water walks on fire and fire gets the blisters. Stylishly composed in any situation--soild, gas or liquid--speaking in penetrating dialects understood by all things--animal, vegetable or mineral-- water travels intrepidly through four dimensions, sustaining... destroying... creating...

The Magic of Herbs, Trees and Flowers A garden is a holy place. From the concept of the Garden of Eden as humanity's mystic point of origin to the idea of a paradise as a garden which represents the realm of final homecoming to which we strive and aspire, gardens seem to be enshrined in our consciousness as the alpha and omega of spiritual experience. They say that a Garden represents the universe and its elements- fire in the form of a stone or iron lantern, earth in the form of stone, and water, air, plant, and animal life in their true forms. Even in a dry garden there is always some water, notably in dripping basins or suggested by waterfall chains from the down spouts. Violets are associated with the seasonally dying Earth god. Who in legend bled to death beneath the boughs of a pine producing the delicate flowers as his blood sank into the soil. Since that day violets have been attributed with death, famine, plague, and rejuvenation. The art of bonsai is considered an expression of the harmony between heaven and earth, man and nature. Its' spiritual foundations lie in the philosophy of life which strives after a harmony which becomes apparent when empathy is achieved with the process of all growth and development. And it is through the bonsai that a gardener can experience a new rhythm of the seasons and nurture the power of creativity. Ikebana implies that its not necessary or even desirable to have everything in perfect order. Zen Buddhists see symmetry (Western Perfection) as being fatal to the imagination and fatal to individual experience. Ikebana means "living flowers" or "bringing flowers to life" as a Philosophy, its essence is a way of life. Heaven, Earth and man combine together to make an asymmetrical triangle. Involvement with lkebana is good for you physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. Water features add extra dimension to gardens. Adding sound, motion, and a wonderful calming effect. Inviting us to flow with life, enduring change. Connecting with the elements, being revitalized by the subtle currents of life flowing through the landscape. Nuturing us with, the essence of life. The humidity created by the gentle spray is perfect for growing moisture loving plants. Bamboo is the natural symbol of the wealth of nothingness because it grows into space, which represents the subtle centre of spiritual development. More generally it is a symbol of fertility, altruism and a happy family in the image of a mother plant feeding her family around her. A quick-growing, tall, strong, and evergreen. Rocks: important aesthetic features of the garden; used to portray a specific place, such as islands or mountains. Using swirled sand with great care to emulate water. The idea is to emulate life, without water there is no life. The Magic of Herbs, Trees, and Flowers In ages past, intellectual accomplishments and the opportunity for self-expression through the arts were largely denied to women. The craft of garden-making, however, was not. The garden was often their special domain and became the embodiment of their inspiration - both practical and poetic. In addition to the 'silver bells, cockle shells, and pretty maids all in a row' of the flower garden, there was nourishment from the kitchen garden, and healing and restorative plants grown in the medicinal herb garden.
