Quote: * The Yogg-Saron encounter has received the following changes: Death Ray no longer hits players who are under the effect of Malady of the Mind, Guardians of Yogg-Saron no longer use Dominate Mind, the spawn rate of Guardians of Yogg-Saron is more forgiving, and these Guardians will no longer spawn if a player that is protected by Hodir’s Flash Freeze hits an Ominous Cloud. * In the opening sequence of Ulduar you can now see Liquid Pyrite from farther away. * The Flame Leviathan encounter has received the following changes: the bonus health Flame Leviathan receives per tower has been reduced, the ejection height from Flame Leviathan has been reduced, the snare effect of the Tower of Frost has been removed, and the cannons on Demolishers and Siege Enginers should now break Flash Frozen vehicles in 1 shot. * The XT-002 Deconstructor encounter has received the following changes: the health of the heart has been slightly reduced in heroic difficulty and the rate at which Gravity Lapse and Searing Light are cast has been reduced. Yogg-Saron nerf lol ok.

They want everyone to experience the content. Not everyone can handle encounters like yogg where you have to think to a small degree :p Thus, nerf.
Surprised? Considering the many nerfs that have come to Ulduar before this one... you really shouldnt be.

I know we haven't down Yogg-Saron yet, but I'm still very disappointed on how Blizzard are going their way to nerf a lot of the bosses in Ulduar. Like wtf?

it is no longer MC/naxx40 days, when raiders had to think to raid. Now Blizzard is more interested in catering to the many, instead of the raiding elite. The only things they have to reward the serious raiders are the mounts. And I know many serious raiders who don't care about achievements for the single reason of "Mounts suck"
Then again, the people who say "mounts suck" have had me flying around them on my albino drake for ages, and are annoyed by it..... and don't want to see me get a dragonhawk...

Serious raiders are being rewarded with hard modes and hard mode epics. They're also rewarded with the extra encounter. Mounts really are just added bonus

The "OMG, CASUALS!" argument works... except for the little detail that two of these are hardmode nerfs.
Allow me to explain: The heart is a first tier DPS check for hardmode XT. If you can't break the heart with heroism and cooldowns, you can't beat the encounter.
Ok, so you nerf the heart. --> No heroism needed for heart, hopefully. Whatever. Fight becomes slightly less annoying. More annoying for when we don't want to do hardmode.
The second DPS check is having the melee damage to quickly kill light sparks before they chain onto melee (oh wait, they nerfed that) stack up too high for your healers to manage. By reducing the rate at which Searing Light is cast, the amount of sparks you need to kill is reduced, and your DPS on the boss increases. Couple that with the fact you will have a heroism on the boss instead of heart, and there's a double stacked nerf.
The third tier, the retard check, deals with gravity lapse. In XT hardmode this creates a void zone. Usually this is managed by stacking them up to the left of the boss, by the end of the encounter you will have to run pretty far away due to running out of space. No more running out of space, I guess.
We'll have to see, but that's a pretty huge nerf to an already easy hardmode.
Not even gonna start on the HP nerf to FL, and the casual "I have a terrible video card and can't handle seeing things in the air" pyrite nerf. Instead of fixing the bike and siege engine issues they bandaid fixed this fight so FL+4 would be easier. ):
Also there are no mount drops for hardmodes in Ulduar and the GotR mounts will probably only be acquired by a handful. Certainly FAR less than the Naxx GotR mounts.

Kinda sad we didn't get a shot at Yogg before the nerf. We've had alot of attendance issues the past two weeks with everyone getting out of school and people going on vacations, or simply just not showing up for raids. Its been really frustrating.
We've killed all the 25 man bosses before General Vezax before any nerfs though (on regular heroic, no hardmodes yet). I think even casual raiders can do it, if we're doing it raiding less than 3 nights a week and less than 4hrs per raid. All this nerfing sucks because everyone is going to look down their noses at the folks who didn't get there pre-nerf.

That's what I meant lol meh.... even though I'm normally against nerfing, it will make things easier for me to get in a group. The first month of ulduar out, I missed due to being extremely sick, and now I'm far behind everyone. Perhaps a few nerfs will make people bring me with them, so I can catch up to the people I outgeared when Ulduar hit. AS of right now, raid leaders are demanding full Ulduar 25 gear to get into Ulduar ten....

That's pretty redic. For pugs on my realm Ulduar isn't even requiring any boss kills or achievement link yet, just good gear. It would be easier for me to transfer my DK (no KT kill, no Emalon kill) and get into an Ulduar pug on my current realm, than it would be to wait around to get INTO a Naxx group on my old one. And compared to most pugs, my dk has pretty good gear. But of course, I stopped PVEing on her once my guild xferred off because no pug could get past Thaddius due to LAG. rofl

Regardless of it being easier or what have you, the mechanics are still the same, and the retards still wont be getting the "easy epics" as they're still retarded. XT heart isnt really a "dps check" imo either, we kill the heart with heroism and cooldowns every time we do hardmode.

Well, not a lot of guilds still have Orbit-uary, so to be honest I saw this coming from a mile away (ha, sight pun). And even then, the guild that has it on my server may have done it via the exploit, which if it's true, most other guilds will pretty much denounce ever having ties with that group. I find it cool that we try to hold a sense of honor. Personally, I never had an issue being a demo passenger (aka hooker) because I'm good at it and my gear ilevel is low.

The only mount drop is off of Mimiron...boo. But we're steadily making progress towards the mounts, the majority of the team has more achievements than myself because of my work schedule, but we go back to do them again for me and to test our skills.
