~Junes Department Store~
The premier shopping destination in all of Inaba, the Junes Department Store provides electronics, groceries, and plenty other products at the lowest prices around. Owned and operated by the Hanamura Family, this particular branch of the Junes name also acts as the Home Base for the Investigation Team lead by Souji Seta and his friends.
Often meeting up in the food court in order to plan excursions into the Mayonaka TV World, the team spends a great deal of time discussing their next move, mysteries they can't solve, and generally anything else they feel like meeting about here. And when they are ready to enter the TV World, the crew simply moves down to the Electronics Department and enters through their trusty flat-screen.
How Yosuke has managed to keep that same TV from being sold for over a year is anyone's guess...

Rednal yawned widely as he strode through the halls of Junes. School had been out for a little while now, and he didn't have anything special to do besides the homework that had been assigned. But then again, that couldn't really be called special. He shruged as he wandered through the electronics area, glancing past the devices as he did so. If what he'd seen earlier was any guess, music players were 'in' right now. Well, they'd get over it sooner or later. Music itself wasn't bad, but some people got nasty to the point of attacking you if you asked them to not listen to it in certain areas, as if just by being themselves they had the right to do whatever they wanted. Sad. Ah, well. Rednal's eyes ran over the wall of TVs. He really needed to get himself a new one soon.

 Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader
The walk from Yasogami to Junes went by much faster than usual, though he honestly wondered why his head seemed to be so full and jumbled at the moment. So what if his friends weren't around to take part in his plans every now and then? It hardly meant anything, since they probably just had things to do elsewhere. He could scarcely hold it against Yukiko if she needed to help her mother out at the inn...hell, he had been the one to subtly encourage her to follow her heart, leading her to more completely accept her role as the future manager there. And it's not like he could be angry at Chie, Naoto, or Kanji for not being at school for him to invite them. If they weren't there, they were at least certain to have their own reasons. Naoto had a thriving career as a detective, after all...it was probably a miracle that she was allowed to attend school at Yasogami in the first place...and Kanji had a noted distaste for school as a result of the prejudice against him there. As for Chie, well, he had no doubt she was just busy, or at the worst, sick. Still, why did it bother him that he had come all the way down here alone? Why did he feel so uneasy about everything? The murder mystery was over. They defeated a goddess for crying out loud! Why couldn't he just relax and enjoy the normal school life that he had earned?
Soji sighed as he sat down at a table in the Junes Food Court, the same one that had acted as their Headquarters when it had just been the four of them...Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, and himself...and looked off the side of the balcony to the smaller buildings below. Cars and people passed by peacefully, going about their daily lives without a care in the world, or so it seemed. And he...he was waiting for a couple of Junes-brand steak skewers alone, feeling irrationally irritated and lonely. It wasn't like him to be so unsettled...really, it wasn't like him to be unsettled at all. His fingers twitched and he clutched them into a fist at his side while he leaned back in his chair, waiting for something to pique his interest...or until he just got bored enough to leave. Did Teddie or Yosuke have to work here later today? Would he see the big, blue bear handing out balloons to all the kids running in and out of the Food Court? Would Yosuke be directing him along, dealing with the complaints of the other employees? And where would Rise be right now? He should have stopped by her classroom after school to see her and at least invite her to come with him, but even he knew that it was dangerous to be a bit too greedy when you wanted to be near someone. Besides, maybe she was helping out at the Tofu Store today? If she wasn't, would she come here too, nostalgic...or maybe just as lonely as he was? He wondered, and let his mind wander off somewhere into the distant horizon.
'Whoever the Hell said patience was a virtue was a bloody liar...'

Walking inside Junes, he took the elevator to the third floor. He didn't need much, just a couple of fish was all. Reaching his destination, he walked out of the escalator and headed for the fish department. When he got there, he decided to buy a small slab of salmon, some eel, and a pack of urchin. After paying for the fish, he walked back to the elevator and pressed the down arrow. Now all he had to do was wait for it to stop by his level.
---
As he exited Junes, he felt his stomach rumbling and clutched it with a slightly annoyed face. "I knew I should've packed some more food earlier. I really need to start eating more." he mumbled to himself. He decided to go home and drop off his bag and the food first, and then maybe go to the Junes food court and check their food to see if they had something to stifle his appetite.

If there was one good thing about eating at the Junes Food Court alone, it was that the milkshakes were delicious. When you were talking with your friends, the shakes sometimes got the opportunity to warm up and get thin, making them little more than a sweeter cup of chocolate or vanilla milk. Being alone, however, you could enjoy the sweetness completely, and let the cool, icy milk seep into your taste buds before chilling your throat on the way down. It really was the little things in life that made it worth living. Or maybe it was just his way of trying not to think about the fact that he would have liked to have seen everyone. Taking a long sip of his drink, he tried not to think too hard on that particular debate, and was given a reprieve from the strange inner-workings of his mind by the dejected voice of his favorite shadow-turned-bear-turned human, Teddie. Turning in his chair, he saw both Teddie and Mori walking into the Food Court side-by-side, looking markedly less chipper than they had been this morning. Had something happened to them, too?
"Teddie, Mori-kun?" he called out calmly, just loud enough so that they could hear him. He paused a minute so that they could recognize him, and he raised his fingers up to shoulder level, just enough to make sure they saw him. Not that the silver hair wasn't a dead giveaway, or anything. "Come, sit down..." It was a suggestion, but the way he offered probably made it hard to resist. He had that type of command when he spoke to people, at least, if he wanted to. And he was pretty curious as to what could put such a long face on the practically indomitable spirit of Teddie. Waiting for the two of them to come over, he leaned forward into his palms, elbows on the table, and examined the little blond boy calmly, analyzing his attitude and movements. "Is something bothering you, Teddie?"

Leon Mori & Teddie Junes - Food Court The two came over and sat with Souji "S-sensei, I... I was talking to Nao-Chan's Cousin on the roof b-but..." Teddie paused for a second "I was talking for so long I missed my afternoon class! Wahhhhahaha!!" "Hey... Teddie..." Leon said softly.

Soji wasn't sure which of Teddie's two comments he wanted to comment on first. The fact that Teddie had accidentally skipped the afternoon of his first day of classes, or the fact that he just blurted out that Naoto had a relative now attending school at Yasogami and this was the first any of them had heard about it. You'd think Naoto would have told them about something like that if she knew, right? The silverette raised a hand to his head and rubbed lightly at the temple, wondering why everything going on around him so was so strange, so complicated. Had he been a terrible person in a past life or something? This onslaught of bad karma was ridiculous. Collecting his thoughts through another cool sip of his delicious Junes milkshake, he folded his hands again and leaned forward onto the backs of them, elbows still on the table. He did his best to look just a bit stern. Which wasn't really very difficult at the moment.
"Teddie, you have to be a bit more responsible if you're going to go to school, now. A conversation can be postponed until after classes, but the class will go on without you if you don't attend," Soji chided him coolly, not wanting to be too harsh on him, but making sure that he knew what he did wasn't something that he could continue if he wanted to stay in school with them. He held his even glare a little longer as he looked at the blond, letting his eyes do the talking for him...and letting Teddie know that continued delinquency wasn't going to be tolerated. They had gone out of their way and pulled a lot of strings to get him in there, after all, including his uncle. Rare favors like that weren't to be wasted idly by carelessness. With that said, however, his expression finally softened, and he peeked over at Mori, casting him a conspiratorial wink. "Now, for acting like a delinquent, your punishment is..." he drew out the word, reaching over the table with one of his hands as if to do something sinister...only to clap Teddie on the shoulder and smile in that comforting way that only his 'Sensei' could. "...Another round of milkshakes. On you."

"uhm, I'll have anything?..." He said as he rubbed the back of his head a bit. Hearing him talk about his parents he began to think of his, hoping that his parents wouldn't kill him for not showing up in time. Then again, they probably wouldn't notice. "And uh...No problem? I guess I needed to get out of the house or anywhere for that matter," He said as he just shoved his hands into his pocket as he just followed. He probably wasn't going to eat much since he didn't want him to spend all his money. He didn't want to feel so selfish, and he did say it was for emergencies too anyway.

"Go get 'em, Teddie," Soji chuckled a little under his breath, glad to see his friend getting back on his feet after an experience that probably had him feeling pretty low. It was good that he understood that he couldn't keep making mistakes like that if he wanted to stay in school, so there really was no need to punish him too bad over it. Besides, it's not like he was going to turn down free milkshakes when the opportunity presented itself to him. Leaning back in his seat thoughtfully, he only let his lips curl into a little half-smirk as Leon began talking to him a bit. He couldn't remember exactly when the two of them had met, but he had seemed like a good-natured character from the outset. And if he was a friend of Chie's, then his sense that he was someone worth spending time with was probably right. "It's a small price for him to pay," the Senior quipped casually, deciding not to pick on Leon for his momentary bout of sentimentality. After all, he knew that it could be a little embarrassing to say what you felt...but just how important it was to say them. That was one of the things that the TV World had taught him definitively.
"But as long as he knows that he can't waste this opportunity to go to school, there's no point in making him feel worse. He's a good kid," Soji said finaly, letting out a breath and making note of a few other students from their school picking up some food from the court. He didn't immediately recognize them, but they looked to be friends at the least. Maybe a bit of a mismatched pair, but friends nonetheless. Running their faces through his mind, he remembered seeing the two of them...on the roof, was it? They were probably Juniors...same as Naoto, Kanji, and Rise. The silverette shook his head, willing away those thoughts again. He'd see them all again eventually. No need to rush. Besides, Leon and Teddie made for good company, at least for now. "I hope Teddie gets back soon with those," Soji mused, glancing towards the counter with distant eyes, "I'm still thirsty."

Hearing him laugh at him he just rubbed the back of his head. Sure he was being a little modest, but he really didn't know what to do around friends. Hikaru probably had more friends than him too, so he knew what to do. Unlike Shikari, who just decided to gain some friends on his third year. Then hearing him offer for some Chinese food he just gave a nod. "Uhm, sure, I'll have anything," He told him. He was actually planning to check the tofu shop today, but seein as Hikaru came by he couldn't refuse. Though, that was mainly because he was dragged around to do so. Then seeing him with a mischievous lookg he just blinked a bit. "Was this really a good idea?..." He asked himself as he just sighed a bit as he just followed Hikaru.

"You just came because you thought it sounded like a good time!" "What else is there to do out in this s**t hole?" Yosuke sighed...another boring day working at Junes. This time, because one of the employee's bailed out sick, he was helping working the grill. Yosuke still couldn't get how Teddy could possibly have worked in here...the place was cramped, hot, and afterwords he would smell like delicious steak skewers...because that was what he was making. Even thought Yosuke hated working at the grill, he was quite good at it (After months of practice...the first time he tried the place caught on fire), he expertly rained the spices and brushed on the sauce, like he was some kinda cook. Well, he wasn't, don't be mistaken, grilled skewers were the only thing that he could make, anything else would only be a little less gross than Mystery Food X. Once Yosuke was done, he put the skewers on a trey and left the kitchen out to the outdoor cafeteria. But, it was surprising that Souji was the one who ordered it, that, honestly never happened before. He casually walked up to the table with trey in hand and set it down with a smirk. "Sorry, can't join ya' right now, as you can see-" As usual in his shifts, Yosuke was wearing the usual Junes apron. "But, my shift's over in about ten minutes, I'll catch up to ya'." "And that Senpai you were so sweet on? Her death was the perfect excuse!"
Tis' was another boring day at Junes food court. As Mitsuru does anytime he sits for a prolonged period of time, he sat back lazily in the chair while his eardrums were being blasted by music."-Better yet, My mouth is tight like James Bond, You thought you saw me but next second I'm gone, I don't want no throne, I'm a freelancer do for benjamins but I'm not a gangster, Show me what you got, If you got it on cuz I fight not only verbally, Volatile man I am gotta game that I play-"And so the cycle of Mitsuru's life continued without any interference or any anomalies. He just sat there with his headphones on, sipping a milkshake while reading a book...yes he can do all three at the same time.
