Safimoto sat at the edge of a moderately small pond, staring into the water's shallow depths. She was thinking about her brother, mostly. She hadn't really known him, despite there only being Zuri between them in their litter. They just, hadn't been close. She had usually been off, doing her own thing, having her own time, meeting new people, learning new things. And then he was gone. When they joined the Troupe, he chose to go off on his own, something her father had understood despite not being too happy with it.
Her own father had left his family at Masizi's age, which was why Safi didn't know her grandparents on her father's side of the family. Despite the distance between them, Masi was still her brother, and she would miss him. She had always thrown gone off, thinking there was always tomorrow to be with her family. Her younger brother's leaving was clear proof that she, in reality, did not.
"I should go spend time with them..." she mumbled to herself, watching the golden hoop in her right ear swing back and forth slightly at a small breeze. Just a little bit longer. She needed some time to feel better, first.

Zoran's paws carried him soundlessly through the savannah's land. His purple eyes glanced around slowly as he crouched low to the ground and kept hidden from whatever or whoever might be around. He had been treated poorly as a cub, which resulted in the scars that now covered his pale body. A low growl rumbled deep in Zoran's chest when he thought he noticed something moving.
His destination was a nearby pond. He planned to simply get a quick drink then head off to find some prey for himself. The pride he was now stuck in wasn't the greatest of prides, but surprisingly Zoran found pride in being in it. This pride was hard to live in and he managed to do it without breaking a sweat.
What Zoran didn't know was that he was the king's, the male that had given him the scars, son. If he had known that, Zoran probably wouldn't be quite like he was today. Maybe he wouldn't be in the pride that he was in. His tail flicked behind him then he noticed a grey figure and took a few steps towards it with a smirk on his face.

Safi started a bit and turned her head at the sound of another's approach. What she saw brought back cubhood memories and a small frown. The male hybrid walking towards her LOOKED like the cub she had met some time ago, Zoran that was his name, but... Those scars were certainly different. He was older, yes, but that expression on his face. He was more likely to be Zoran's twin brother rather than the cub grown up. Sure, she had changed as she grown older, too, but... this was almost a completely different cat.
"Zoran?" she asked with a small frown, wondering if he recognized her as she did him. Or whether this really was that same happy cub she had met when she was little at all. "Is that you?"

The fact that the female knew his name made Zoran pause in his spot and lift his head slightly. She was a pretty little female and something about her seemed vaguely familiar. Zoran let another low growl rumble deep in his chest to keep the female from being too comfortable around him as he answered her simple question. "Yes. That is my name." After being hit in the head as a cub, he didn't remember much. His lack of memory could be blamed on the king of the pride, his father.
How did this female know his name? His eyes locked on her as his tail swayed at an odd rhythm. "Where have we met before?" He asked, eyeing her closely. An ear flicked towards her and his stance loosened a bit, but he was still ready for anything to happen.

Safi watched him warily, took a deep breath, and sighed. Ah, so he didn't remember her. Apparently she had inherited her father's keen memory, then. Zoran was the first non-family individual that she had run into for a second time since their first meeting, which wasn't surprising considering her moving around a lot. And, in all honesty, it looked like he had been through hell.
"I... I don't really remember that, actually. I just remember meeting you when we were really little. My name is Safimoto? I'm a dancer in a band of traveling entertainers?" she attempted to explain, trying to jog his memory. Maybe she shouldn't, though. He... didn't seem like the cub she remembered, not at all. He seemed... hard. Cold. And it was kinda scary.

His purple eyes watched the grey female closely. He watched her movements and tried to decide if she was a threat or not. It seemed as though she wasn't, but one could never be too sure. His tail continued to flick behind him at an odd rhythm of its own. Zoran didn't remember the female, but something about her seemed somewhat familiar. He sighed and tried to think of what was so familiar about her.
"Safimoto." He repeated the name quietly and shook his head. Zoran knew he shouldn't close his eyes around strangers, but he let his eyes shut for a moment near this female. He tried to search his memory for when he had met this female. When they were really little she said... He was missing a huge chunk of his past, but then ran across a very young cub that told him what he was and that his father would be nice. "Hm... I may remember you."

Safi nodded slowly, still uncertain whether him remembering her was a good thing or not. "Well, I mean, it was a long time ago. It's okay to not remember," she replied a little more quickly than she had really intended. She inwardly flinched at that, but put a smile on her face anyways, trying to make light of the situation. What had happened to him in all that time? It looked like he had been in countless fights, and yet she had never run into anyone that came at her in an aggressive fashion.
