I'm sorry if this pisses a few of you off, but your bad grammer pisses me off as well. Basically this Role Play thread will just go where it will, with a few restrictions... Rules: (1)The enter key. Use it. If I see a textwall post, I'll ignore it. If I see two conversation quotes right next to each other, I get annoyed. If you can't spell the word "bare," or "course," or "you," I'll reach through the internet and smack you. Capitalization, Punctuation, all of that. (2) No godmoding. If I see a character that's being bizzarely powerful or controlling other characters, I'll alert a mod. The same goes for posts where I just can't understand what's going on. (3) All characters in the books are NPCs, except for Skulduggery because Skulduggery P claimed him. If you just want to control Valkyrie, no one else, take that up with the mods. (4) No flaming. Please. BAD POST: Quote: "oh hey china i was just thinking aboot coeming ovur n chckin out that roburry" "good idea skulduggery i was getting wurried about u" skulduggery hung up the phone and drove over[ "oh noes! the robber!" he yelled as he shot the man dead No. Bad. GOOD POST: Quote: "So, China." The line fell silent. Skulduggery sighed, wondering how phone conversations could get awkward so quickly. "I... was thinking about coming over and investigating that robbery, or whatever it was you were talking about the last time I saw you." In her library, China chuckled. "Good idea, I was getting worried. It's not like you to let someone else do their own job in peace." Grumbling, Skulduggery got into his car. (That's a good post because not only is it very, very clear what's going on, it also lets other players have a chance to jump into the plot with little friction. A million things could happen on Skulduggery's drive over!) Get it? Got it? Good. Let's begin.

The tracks were going cold. Echo grumbled as she ran through the forest, clutching her pistol to her chest and hoping not to shoot her head off as she watched the ground.
The ground she was gazing at so intently suddenly disappeared, leaving Echo to curse as she gazed down. In the middle of a small decline was a nice, wide river.

After crossing said river, Echo searched up and down the bank. No luck, her prey was gone, which meant she would have to wait for the vampire to strike again.
Luckily enough, it did the next night. Echo showed up in time to actually see it, too.
OOC: And here comes the part where somebody's character is trying (and maybe succeeding) to fight the vampire off.

((Wow, someone created a literate roleplay, i got sick of mentaly adding punctuation when i was reading posts.
My character became a vampire recently in the main roleplay, do i just pick up where i left off in that one with him and cross between the two?))

Do i use my character as he is from the other and what happens in one roleplay affects the other to a certain degree?))

((Hmm... yeah it probably would if he gets some weapon in one, then in the other he is randomly holding it. And it would only be 13 pages or so, i joined in the roleplay late.
Ill create another character to use in this roleplay then.))

((And here we have the first appearence of Mort, a gravity manupliating adept.))
Mort descended from the sky, his red hair being whipped around by the wind as he unsheathed his scythe. He landed and looked around, the small grove he was in was surrounded by ancient trees and there was the remains of a small stone building in the center. Mort closed his eyes and focused on the gravitational pull in the forest, searching for anyone who might see what he was about to do. His blue eyes shot open and he dived to the side as a talon slashed through the air where he was standing.
The vampire screached as Mort rolled and stood up and begun to back away slowly. The vampire blurred as it dashed forward towards Mort, its talons reflecting the dull moonlight as they shot forward. A pale hand shot forward and Mort closed his blue eyes and concentrated on the vampire, wincing as he heard the trees rip out of the ground. His eyes opened in time to see the vampire knocked into the ground by an old oak tree.
Walking forward, Mort held his scythe in his right hand and prodded the vampire with the end of it before jumping backwards. The creature twitched, but didnt open its eyes. Stepping back, Mort sat down on a fallen tree as he wondered what that creature actually was.

It had happened so fast Echo could have blinked and missed it. She had been getting out her car, when suddenly a tree flew right over her head, nearly decapitating her. The Vampire wasn't so lucky, and Echo's "WTFISGOINGON" instinct kicked in.
She dropped to the ground in a half-kneel, casting glances for anyone who might be dangerous. Because, with a power like that?
Echo doubted she would survive if they decided they didn't like her. That Vampire was out for the count.

((Hmm... but when you think about it, an adept might do that, so it wouldnt be that strange.))
Mort sat on the tree and resheathed his scythe, he didn't want to space out and impale himself, he almost had once. He stared at the vampire, it had randomly attacked him, most creatures with talons like that normally arn't trying to hug you. Mort stared at the vampire, then sighed and looked away, only to see empty sky. Blue eyes open wide, he looked around him and saw only the occasional cloud, Where had the trees gone?
Then it hit him, Mort looked down and saw the ground about 30m below him. he stared then closed his eyes and concentrated on getting down safely, as a result, he stopped focusing on the vampire and it bounced when it hit the ground with a crunch. Mort landed softly and went to walk away when he noticed someone crounched on the ground, staring at him as if he had grown horns.

((OOC: Yeah, but remember, Echo has been chasing this vampire for the better part of three weeks. You just stole her prize, damnit! XD))
Flying guy. Flying guy with a scythe. Echo stood, hand straying towards her pistol.
"Don't move," she advised him. Echo got trigger happy when she was frightened and she knew it.
Over to her left, the vampire groaned, and she snapped to the side and brought her gun up, firing four successive shots into it's brain, saving two just in case it didn't do the trick.
It did, and the vampire seemed to sigh before reverting back to it's human form, a red-headed teenage girl.
Figured that it was a ginger...
She cast a glance towards the boy, then shrugged. It could be written off in her report as self-defense.
"You're really strong," she began. "If you can kill a vampire that quickly. I've been chasing her for three weeks..."
And indeed, the former vampire is covered with half-healed knife wounds and bullet holes.

Ahh, and Mort speaks like this, all in lowercase italics, no caps except for names. His gravity magic makes his voice travel through gravity insted of air, but its so small it dosnt really affect anything, but the voice seems to appear in your head without passing through your ears.))
Mort froze, this person sounded like she was used to being obayed, the fact that she had a gun was just another good reason to stop moving. He winced at the gun shots, this close they seemed quite loud, but it could have just been him.
that thing was a vampire? weird... but i didnt kill it, you're the one that shot it. Mort said as he looked at the vampire, still taking care not to move too quickly or to start floating... again. why would you chase that thing? its crazy! it attacked me... im sure i didn't accidently destroy its house, i would have remembered, Mort mumbled as he slowly sat down, keeping his eyes on the person with the gun.

Echo looked at him funnily. "You didn't know it was a Vampire?"
Then a thought struck her, and she swore, slamming her gun into it's holster. A new magician.
Damn it all to hell. The rules were clear: If she happened upon a new magician, she had to take him to the nearest Sanctuary and find a teacher for him.
More often then not, she ended up teaching the kid, but right now all she wanted to do was go home, have a hot meal, take a bath, and sleep for a few days.
"Look, kid, I think you better come with me."

Mort looked at her warily (Spelling?) and then shrugged and said though please try not to distract me too much, if i space out or lose focus, stuff tends to be destroyed or fly... he finished, waving a hand in the direction of the fallen trees.
Standing up slowly, Mort unsheathed his scythe, the blade pointed at the ground so he didn't accidently skewer this stranger and walked over to her, trying not to make things fly.
were are we going? Mort asked as he reached the stranger, idly tapping the ground with his scythe.
