Setting: Noxious: The city itself is for the most part unknown to those who live in Arret. Noxtious, also known as The Holy City Of The Dead, is one of the largest urban metropolises on the planet, rivaling the likes of Avos. The city was built by mortals, but those who live there believe it is a chosen land picked out by the Ten Lords of Death. Noxtious is located in the western most section of the Northern Lands. Built underground, the city acts as a sanctuary for its inhabitants, as well as a fortress. Because of its subterranean location, the city is in a perpetual state of darkness which is only darkened by the large amounts soot and smog created by the cities factories.

Singolai pressed her face against the window of the airship, trying to gain a glance at the city. The ship was beginning to descend slowly. but there was no city in sight. She turned to Victor. Where is it? She asked, knitting her brow in confusion.

Is you're brother really rich or...wait. You know the emperor because you're related? No wonder you can afford to hand me a big hunk of cash without a second thought. I've been so rude! I..I made you pull a rickshaw! She blushed. I apologize Sir Victor! She averted her eyes from his face.

I've never been a superior to anyone more than the graveyard dogs, much less an heir to the thrown. I don't know how well I'm going to handle this royalty thing. The money I can handle, but beyond that I'm not so sure. She looked out the window at the mountain growing ever closer, trying to envision Victor's brother. Are you older or younger than your brother? She asked.

For the good of all huh? Well at least he's a benevolent ruler. I don't know how long I'd be able to put up with a man who reveled at the misery of his subjects. Does he just rule the city, or all that too? She pointed out the window at the green fields and forest surrounding the mountain. At this point the airship had drawn very close to the side of the mountain and was circling slowly as if waiting for permission to land. Singolai could see faintly the whitish gray forms of mountain goats atop the crags on the side of the mountain.

He's an emperor, seems like he should have a harem, or at least his pick of any of the fair maids in the city... or men, I don't judge. Sensing that she'd hit a nerve Singolai was quiet for a few minutes, thinking on the kinds of firearms she might be able to buy with her new found paychecks.

we are almost there, we will be landing pretty close to the palace so as not to have to walk through the entire city to get there that would take a day or so*victor looked out the window as they made their final descent into the city*

Singolai did her best to straiten out the wrinkles in her cloak and dress, and desperately tried to convince herself that she was the type of person who belonged among royalty. Outside the window she could see men catching, passing, and tying down the ropes that tethered their airship to it's dock.

How should I address the emperor? Just emperor, or your majesty, something completely different? Singolai wanted to get all her manners right, and she was very aware of the fact that she was good at inadvertently insulting or offending people, especially the ones from different cultures who came off the airships into the city.
