Deep in the dark and the dank of the caverns of Oz XI, something miraculous has happened.
The world was originally used as a prison colony, cells and gateways built into the radiation-blasted rock, the earth itself shielding the inmates from the hazardous rays. However, in mysterious extinction of men in the galaxy, the prison colony found itself cut off, unknowingly the only survivors. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years, and still, no contact. The galaxy moved on without them, and now a new empire has set in, determined to make as many planets habitable. as possible
The terraforming is done, and Oz XI is now a prosperous, green world. Mining efforts has begun, but they don't get what they bargained for when they finally break the surface...

There isn't much to say at this point in time, other than explaining the races. This will be added to as the roleplay develops, so keep checking back.
Oz IV is a most curious world. It is basically hollow on the inside, a space that houses the Inmates' population. Thanks to the efforts of the Sha'Ra, it is now vibrant and lush.
The Inmates are the "native" people of Oz IV. Over the millennia, they have developed from humans as we think of them today to pale creatures devoid of pigmentation, save their eyes. They're color-blind, but have excellent night vision. If a name was to be given to their governmental structure, it would be an anachronism, functioning on the idea that the people would do what they needed to survive, as survival has always been of utmost importance.
The Sha'Ra are a humanoid plant race, the second to colonize Oz IV. Not much is known about them except that they fall into a coma without sun or sun lamps, but they can function indefinitely, without sleep, if they are present. Overall, they are a peaceful race, preferring to terraform and colonize dead worlds rather than take ones that have existing ecosystems. However, if they are moving from place to place, as all modern Sha'Ra are, they must mine the nutrients they need. They look like ents, for lack of a better idea. (._.)
The Endymion Virus came to Oz IV with the Sha'Ra. The plant people are unaffected, but it has really hit the Inmates hard. The virus induces eternal life, but it is not as wonderful as it appears. The Endymion Virus is slowly bringing the Inmates' society to its knees, upsetting the delicate balance of resources as the population explodes. It is communicable.

On the outside, she's a lazy punk, but within is a scared orphan girl clawing for survival. Background: A street rat in the dark cities of the Caverns, Pank has easily grown used to the life of a street rat in the green cities of the Sha'Ra. She generally steals the minerals and goods the Sha'Ra sell and then resell them down in the caverns on the black market.
