Azure sat by the river, humming softly as she ran a brush through her silver mane. Her cloak flared out behind her in a near perfect circle. Occasionally her bracers would meet and create a little ting sound.

Mankato sat idly on the side of the river that was vacant looking at his blue and white self his mane,tail and wings shimmering brillantly as the sun's rays beat down on his idle body,humming quietly to himself

Azure continued to run her brush through her mane until it accidently fell from her hand and into the water. She gasped as she watched it float down the river. She was scared because it was a gift from her grandparents, an ivory handled hairbrush. She started racing downstream, trying to keep pace with it.

Mankato blinked a bit as he saw a brush floating down stream. He thought for a moment and paused his humming and stood stretching. He unfurled his wings and took off skimming the river's surface before shifting to an angle and picking up the wet brush.

Azure held her breath as she spotted a familiar figure scoop her brush up. Her lips parted as she slowed her pace, watching him as he maneuvered over the water.

Mankato shifted his body in a upwards angle before tilting himself more to the right and made a turn and landed on ground in front of Azure and held out her brush "I think this belongs to you. but its a bit wet" he told her

Azure stared at him in a slight daze as she quietly reached for the brush. She thought she knew him from somewhere, perhaps when she was a small baby..."Thank you....." She said softly, licking her lips to moisten them.

Mankato nodded his head politely "pleasure is all mine" he said before turning and taking off before deciding to go back to the side of the river he was on at first and continued to humming to himself at the same time looking at his reflection

A clear memory of being yelled at for even talking to a boy much older then her rang through her mind and she shook her head. Quietly, she followed him to his spot, careful not to loose her brush this time. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

Mankato ponders for a bit before nodding his head "yes..You do...it was a long time ago" he said "when you were still a baby and you got yelled at for talking to me" he told her "I believe it was with your previous owner..by the name of Safire Waters" he finished

She nodded. "I think so... I feel like I keep bouncing between herds, not knowing what to call home."

Mankato looks at her "well i'm pretty sure you can say that the herd you are in now is your permanent one" he told her,his tone sounding soft and caring in a way.

She smiled softly. "It more then likely is..." She then smiled a little more to herself, thinking he was cuter still, seeing him as a teen. She was betting he'd be even better when she reached adulthood though that was a long shot. Slow steps, Azure, slow steps. "What about your family?"

Mankato looked at her, his gaze soft and affectionate in a way that wouldn't be obvious that he cared for her that much. "well as far as my family goes, everyone seems to out on their own, my sister Angelica is in a relationship and so are the rest of my siblings." he said before thinking ahh yes he missed one "I think my brother Marcus is still flying solo as well,same as me" he told her
