Right now there are at least three of us that are pregnant. I thought it would be nice to have a thread to chat aoubt how the pregnancy is going.
When did you feel the first kick?
How fast was the heart beat (when you got to hear it at your appointment)
How did your last appointment go?
Boy or girl? Thoughts/feelings and ultrasound findings...
Just feeling really sick and need a place to complain to people who understnad?
Got questions about if things are normal?

All this and so much more ^_^

I'm excited because on the 15th we get to go in for an ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby. I'll have my next appointment on the 17th. We're not going to share the news of the baby's gender until after we've been to Cali for Thanksgiving (to visit hubby's family). We want to have something that we share with them first (being so far away and my family living so close my family's usually the first to hear anything). After we get back from Cali I'll be sure to post here and let everyone know. My feeling is it's a girl, we'll see though I guess.

I had a friend that when she found out she was pregnant and told her boss that he had to find her another possion to work (It was at a pet store were she cleaned cages and worked with alot of cleaners and stuff that isn't good for the baby) he fired her. I couldn't belive when she told me that I've noticed that alot of the us gives women a hard time and an even harder one when their pregnant

I got to see the baby today and have been on a natural high since! It's the most amazing thing to look at that baby on the monitor and know that that baby is yours! We aslo got to hear the heart beat (170) and we found out what the baby is... but as I've mentioned we're not going to say anything until we've told Hubby's family at Thanksgiving.

It's been really hard for me to not say anything, especially with all my extra excitement bubbling out. *giggle*

I don't think that we'll make a special ultrasound appointment just to find out what gender the baby is with future children. It's kinda a let down. I guess that's more because I wanted to see the baby then I wanted to find out the gender though... We have a couple profile shots, then we have the pics that show the baby's gender. The 20 week ultrasound I enjoyed with my daughter 'cause I got to see her and see her hands and see her feet, and they take all that time getting the measurements...
Besides having a feelig about the baby's gender already... I mean think about it, with either confirmation or them telling you that it's not what you thought... sweatdrop

Anyway I'll post again after my appointment on Thursday. heart

Yep, when my husband and I had our first child, and we found out she was going to be a girl.. we chose the name Summer Rose .. my MIL hated it and said she would NEVER have a grandchild with that name, ever..

so, we ended up naming our daughter Julianne Faith. .. this time I toss it in as a possibility, and she didnt care.. bleck!

I don't know I just don't understand why they have to but in the way they do. To be truthfull it made my mother cry when I told her I was going to name my daughter Amber Lee, and part of her crying wasn't becouse she was happy it's becouse my sister died and that was her name. Most of my family hates me for wanting to use the name but I still want to, it's the name we close I don't see why if my family is upset with me for wanting the name and I deal with it why he can't. sorry for ranting about it, it just buggs me really bad

Yeah, that's one thing about Thanksgiving I'm not looking forward to. Long car trip! I usually can read in the car w/o getting sick (save for driving through canyons or places like that with a lot of light/shadow changes). I can't always sleep in the car either. So far I've been okay Crocheting in the car, but it's going to be a REALLY long ride if I can't sleep and can't at least crochet. *sigh*

Aww *hugs Munkey* I'm sorry to hear that.
My parents weren't too thrilled about the name we chose out at first either. My dad said "I'll tell you the same things that my father told me: Give your children good Christian names!" rolleyes
Thing was that SK and I both liked the name we'd chosen, and neither of us wanted to go with a "more traditional name" both of our names being sooo common, both of us wanted something a little more unique. So we stuck with the name that we liked, and it fits our daughter.

Not much excitement about my appointment Thursday. My OB was over in delivery so they asked if I minded just seeing Jen (the MA/Nurse) I said I didn't mind. I've talked to her quite a bit this pregnancy! (She's the one I talk to every time I have to get a refill on my nausea meds.)
So she said that I measured normal, and she didn't give me a count on the heart beat, but just told me that it sounded good. For traveling to California for Thanksgiving she told be to make sure that I get my rest (seeing as how on vacation there is a tendency to do too much) and to make sure to stay hydrated. Also she recommended that since we're going to see family we find out the location of where we would go to be treated in case of emergency (not likely seeing as how the pregnancy is fine and I'm in my middle tri-mester) So I checked with the insurance and we do have out-of-state coverage, and I'll have to ask my mother-in-law to check on where we would go for that...

I found out that my OB recommended getting a flu shot, so if any of you other preggers haven't done that yet, you may want to ask to your OB about it. (I got mine today gonk ).

Yah I got my Flu shot it was the first time ever God I hate shots. It's funny becouse I have piercings and tattoos.

But as for changing the name just becouse his Mother said so upsets me for the fact I can deal with my Family being upset then why can't he deal with his? you know what I mean

*sneaks in*

I know I'm not pregnant anymore, but I just wanted to say -- the name thing kind of bit me in the butt this time. While I was growing up, all of the Richards I knew, I didn't like. And I hated the name. I promised myself I'd never name my son Richard. And I thought it was silly and conceited for men to name their sons after themselves, so I said I'd never do the Junior thing either.

Lo and behold, I married into a family tradition, and my son's name is Richard the fourth!! *lol*

I wouldn't have allowed it if I really minded; my reservations were from when I was young, and had faded considerably. And I adore my son. I'm sure I would no matter what his name was.
