Whatever you do, I'll do it too Show me everything and tell me how It all means something And yet nothing to me
I can see there's so much to learn It's all so close and yet so far I see myself as people see me Oh, I just know there's something bigger out there
I wanna know, can you show me I wanna know about these strangers like me Tell me more, please show me Something's familiar about these strangers like me

As Hinata lay along smooth rocks beneath a large waterfall, the cool water relaxing her, a familiar thought and slight fear came to mind. Since coming to these lands she had never seen another lioness like herself. Some were "normal" while others had wings. Some even had lunar shaped tails and flames for fur. But not one lioness she'd met had fins.
That in itself was not the only problem for her. She had not made any lasting friendships. A short meeting, talking, then departure. She was always alone growing up...but that was mainly by choice. Now, though she sought it...she could not find others to stick around.
At the moment her clothing was hung on a dry rock near the shore so that she could get right into dry clothes. Her tail hung low and her chin rested on her paws. It was a beautiful day at least...

Kaida had finally convinced Naida to leave the Rose Petal pride for the day, insisting that there were plenty of lions to ensure the prides safety, and teasing her about her own contribution to the population. Naida really hadn't been all that hard to convince, honestly, and the sisters left to spend the day doing whatever had come to mind.
First, that morning, they'd spent most of it swimming in the various interconnected lakes and rivers spread throughout the land. It was when they finally arrived at the area where Hinata lay basking in the sun, that they decided they were tired and ready to do some basking themselves.
Kaida lay on her back in the water, paddling around lazily, spitting water up like a fountain every now and then as Naida climbed out to lay on a rock, neither one seeing Hinata yet.
Naida...I'm surprised you'd of settled down like you had...don't you miss the water? Being with your own kind?
Of course I do, sister, but I have a family and responsibilities. I do go swimming every day, but not like we did today admitedly. Pride life is demanding, Kaida...nothing like you've dealt with so far. But yes...i do miss it on occasion.
Only on occasion? What...between litters?
That earned Kaida a laugh and a splash was heard as Naida pounced and dunked Kaida under the surface. They wrestled for a few minutes, then finally each settled back down to where they had been before.
Twelve children is huge responsibility as well...not to mention all the drama they can bring into your life...and happiness. Did you hear, Sienna, my oldest daughter, has gotten back with Aquos, her mate? My grand-daughter, Lilac (have you met her?) appeared and about shouted to news to all who'd hear her. Couldn't tell she was excited at all! *chuckles* She still has so much healing to do, and I'm hoping the Goddess grants her another litter...this one strong and healthy... Poor dear...she still thinks the loss of the first was her fault...

Hinata had just about fallen asleep until her webbed ears picked up the sounds of splashing and two voices, feminine in origin. Her eyes shot open as she heard them getting close. Nobody could see her without her clothing on. Maybe other lions did not wear them. But she did. As quietly as she could, she slipped off her sunning rock and headed toward her clothes.
A gasp left her as her paws slipped. There was a huge splash, then scrambling around as she managed to submerge herself in water for a moment. "N..no..." Kicking wildly now, she ran out and hid behind the rock where her clothes lay, though her tail feathers and ears were still visable, along with her dorsal fin.

Naida and Kaida were both drawn to the sound a huge splash as another water lioness, one they'd not met before, fell into the pool and promptly scrambled out as if she were about to be eaten by pirahanas. Kaida laughed, silenced quickly by a stern look from her twin, who leapt upon the rocks by the waterfall, making her way to where the stranger was hiding...badly hiding. "Don't be scared, we're not going to eat you, hun," she purred, giving her a motherly smile. "I'm Naida, and this is my sister Kaida. I take it...you were not born one of our kind, instead ate some sort of fruit that changed you? I only assume this since you seem terrified of us, though I could be wrong...Come out, dear. We won't hurt you..."

Hinata gave a small little yip when one of the two lionesses spoke to her. Once again she was very easily spotted. Still not used to her new appendages...Without looking up she grabbed her clothes and pulled them on, then finally stood, only to sit back in shock. Water lionesses? Like her? So there were others like her.
"U..um...hello...I'm Hinata Hyuuga..." Her eyes were rather wide in shock, so the fact that her pupils were not visible was obvious. "Your...like me...! Water lionesses..."
