Alright, this is a pretty simple RP and for now, I'd like it to just be a private, one-on-one RP. This is meant to be a realistic, although slightly humorous and satirical, police RP featuring myself and Mill, doing what police officers do, responding to calls from dispatch and such. In short, it is meant to be leisurely and a 'I don't got nothin' else to do' type of RP with no real plot aside from me also playing the dispatcher and assigning cases. Initially, it is meant to be with only myself and Mill, but depending on how well it's going/how dull it is, I might open this RP and let others join, but in pairs (if in a car) or by themselves (only available for foot patrol officers). However, keep in mind before you apply to join that it is meant to be very realistic, e.g., RP posts can't look like this: Quote: "Officer Steve? Officer Joe? We got a complain from some people around Oak Street that these two White people are fighting. Think you can take a look?" "Alright, I'm goin'." Instead, it ought look more like this: Quote: "Charles 11, Dispatch." "Charles 11, go ahead Dispatch." "10-39, 911 call about a domestic disturbance call at 424 Oak Street. Suspects are a male and female, both Caucasian. Please respond." "Copy, Dispatch." I know, I know, a bit difficult to understand, but a few episodes of COPS and looking at this and this can help you out a lot in talking Cop-lish. The Ten-Code will be used primarily. The first link is mainly for an insight on some procedural stuff and jargon. Remember, though, that talking like a cop is only half of it. You just can't Chow Yun Fat your way through every reply. Main things to note: *Police officers are protectors of the innocent and are supposed to be a suspect's worse nightmare/cue to run or surrender *Police are not allowed to fire or even pull out their weapon unless they have reasonable suspicion or reason to, such as the suspect putting his hands in his pocket while in a car, sudden movements, etc. *Police are not allowed to frisk or search a suspect or his property without reasonable cause, such as a bulge on the side of the hip that could possibly be a firearm, seeing a firearm or drugs in plain view, or anything else that might tip off the fact something illegal's going on *Police use a different alphabet than the military. Although this is only for me and Mill for now, later on, if you are interested, fill out this RPC skeleton: Name: Age: Years on Force (No more than 5): Role (Foot or Street patrol): Partner's Username (Only for Street Patrol):
Note: If you are a street patrol, you both will be assigned a car number by me. With that said, this RP is now open.

Name: Mill Wilkinson Age: 30 Years on Force (No more than 5): 0 Role (Foot or Street patrol): Street Patrol Partner's Username (Only for Street Patrol): James Wang ((I'm RPing an alternate-universe situation where Mill has left the Army for unknown reasons and ended up being a police. He aims for the SWAT equivalent of this RP storyline and needs the experience from normal police-duty.))

Mill looked out of the window, following the ongoings of outside. The inner-life of the car wasn't formed up yet, this being Mill's first day on patrol after completing police-school and realizing he couldn't use lethal force on hostiles all the time. His uniform felt odd, light and penetrable compared to AEGIS he had used for so many years. The flak-jacket just didn't fill the spot. The missing of M40 or M16A4 hurt, too. The M1911 was something he was familiar with, and he kept his fingers on it just to keep sane. He needed to adjust, but after so many years of military it would take time.
"I am sorry, sir, but you are not allowed to bring your own pistol." "What?" "We at the department have our own service pistol..." "I know that! Do you know how many years I have used this thing here?" "Yes we know of your..." "...profile in the service of Gaia. I can take the pistol, sure, but if you think I am going to..."
Mill smiled a bit after remembering the first day of arriving at the precinct. "Are we driving where now, Wang?" he asked from the partner driving.

((Alright, no prob))
"Right now, we're just gonna drive around. Our beat's along Seriton County, on the north side," he said to his new partner. Lieutenant Walker told him about this guy and he had to say, he was damn impressed. Military service with military training mixed well with being a police officer... Unless he forgets himself and guns someone down...
He damn cracked a smile. "And call me James, alright? I know how it is with you guys in the military, but us boys and blue... Well, we're a bit less formal. See, we got this thing called the Fraternal Order of-"
He was cut off, however, by a vehicle that sped quickly past them on their left, swerving in and out of traffic. "Oh, what the ******** does this guy think he's doing?" He turned on his lights and sirens and gently depressed the accelerator. "Hey Mill, do me a favor and clock this guy will ya?" he said, gesturing to the speed gun.
After giving Mill a good minute to clock the speed, he pulled up behind it and blared his siren again. Relucatantly, the vehicle pulled over to the side of the road and he pulled up at a safe distance behind it.
"Got the speed?" he said to Mill.

"Allright, you can call me Mill then", the ex-military man said and rolled his attention over some cars. Mill wasn't used to unformal, but it went with the job he guessed. Suddenly the happenings ran fast, and Mill noticed himself following orders.
After the car had stopped Mill checked the meter and rolled his eyes. After years of service as a marksman clocking someone on the run was a piece of cake. "How much do you need? This guy got plenty." He moved his hand on the doorhandle. "Shall I go or you?"

James looked over at the speed gun and noted the speed. "Come with me," he then said after he looked into the car and saw that there were 4 people inside. If things got hairy, help would definitely need to be nearby...
Stepping out of the car, he casually strolled to the driver's side window. "Afternoon," he called in a friendly manner. The window was down and hands were on the wheel. Good...
"Hello, officer," the driver said, rather quickly and not even making eye contact. Not so good...
"Do you know how fast you were goin'?" he asked the driver.
"Uh, I don't know, uh..." he glanecd around nervously.
"You were going 85 miles in a 50 mile per hour speed zone. You know how dangerous that is, especially with so many other drivers out on the road right now? License and registration please."
The driver paused. "Uh, I have to get it from the glove compartment." Wang nodded. The driver then reached across to the glove compartment and opened it, opening it a small crack just enough to get the required credentials. The side seat passenger tensed, he noticed, and the two in the rear were pale.
Well, they did say suspicious behavior and activity warranted this. "Alright, everyone step out of the car, please," he ordered, stepping to the side.
"Wh-what? Why?"
"Just step out of the car!" The driver hesitated. "Step out of the car!" he ordered again.
Reluctantly, all occupants of the vehicle stepped out. In plain sight in the small side pouch on the drive side door was a baggie of a white, powdery substance. He reached down and plucked it from the pouch, showing it to Mill.
"Alright, everyone, down on the ground and assume the position," he said, pocketing the baggie of cocaine. He looked over at Mill. "Radio in for back-up, ain't no way everyone's fitting in our car."

Mill had loosened his pistol, not unholstering it to prevent issues. His hand rested half-accidental-lookingly on the handle while Wang discussed with the driver. Should anything nasty happen, Mill would fling the threat of 9mm storm before anyone could say "Oops". "Just step out of the car!" The driver hesitated. "Step out of the car!" Wang ordered again. Mill took half a metre backwards, making sure the people noticed the escape route was closed on the other side. He made his Mad Face, perfectioned during years of E-ranks of service. If it worked on recruits and lower-ranking people thinking too much of themselves, it should work on criminals too. After seeing Wang's quick find he sighed deep. "Such ingenuity on hiding that. Affirmative, just keep yourself clear, m'kay?"
He walked to the car, keeping an eye on the suspects and hand on the holster. "This is Frank-10, over" "Go on Frank-10, over" "10-85 one going on here at Sentings Street, four suspects..." "Go on" "...on possession of drugs and excessive speeding. Send a car to drive these to the precinct, over" "Copy that, David-7 will be there in two minutes, Frank-10. Out." "Out."
Mill put the radio down and walked closer to Wang. "They sent a car, should be here in a moment."

Wang simply nodded. "Alright, give me a hand in cuffing these guys." He looked at the 4 suspects who were on the ground. He kneeled beside one and began to cuff him.
"You are all under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." He moved on to another suspect after cuffing that one. "You have the right to an attorney, if you do not have one or cannot afford one, one will be provided for you. Do you understand these rights as I have read them to you?"

Mill said the same things as Wang did to avoid any issues during court. "You have the right..."' After the four were all cuffed Mill leaned against the patrol car's hood and kept an eye on the suspects. "So, don't have any ideas of running, as the Barton law offers numerous ways for itself to happen", he said politely, smiling in a way that could be understood as friendly, or better, frightening.

He looked over at Mill. "Hey, check them to see if they got any more stuff on them. I'll look in their car 'till back-up gets here." He proceeded to walk towards the suspects' vehicle.
Lifting the seats, he found a bong in the rear passenger seat. Setting it aside, he continued his search and found a small, semi-automatic .22 caliber pistol. He froze before looking up at Mill. "Mind getting one of those evidence baggies and some gloves for me? I got a piece over here."

"Sure thing", he nodded and searched them for any illegal equipment. Two flip-knives and a bag of odd-looking smokes later he heard Wang's request. "Yea, will do! Just wait a moment."
He walked back to the car, quickly grabbed the requested items and then walked back to his patrol-mate. "There you go." The suspects hadn't moved an inch, and Mill returned to his dobermann-duty.

Wang put the gloves on and put the objects in the baggie. Then, he put everything back in the trunk. "Alright, put all the evidence back here and remind me to check it in to the evidence locker when we get back to the station."
He was about to reenter the vehicle when a sharp, squeel of a siren alerted him to the presence of the arriving back-up, as well as a tow truck. He looked over at them as they pulled up behind his and Mill's squad car.
Two officers stepped out and offered a quick wave. "Hey, James, what've you got here?"
Wang looked over at them and waved back. "Hey, Johnny, how're ya?" The two walked over and shook hands. "You know the drill, load 'em up, drive 'em to the precinct, and maybe we might catch lunch later."
The two officers nodded and proceeded to load two of the suspects into their car. He walked over to Mill and the other suspects. "Not bad for your first bust, Mill," he said and picked up one of the suspects.

The newbie smiled and grabbed the last victim available for haul. "Well, this ain't much compared to the times years back when I was sent to my first operation in Crok. There was a heavily fortified crokian shoreline we needed... In the car, sir ...to take over.. In the car, now! ...and then proceed inland. You can't believe the amount of lead that was flung at us! Compasses went wild from all that magnetism!"
He closed the door and heard the nice sound of doors locking shut. "Done at this end, James."

James simply nodded as he listened to his partner's story. "Damn, sounded like Hell." He closed the door behind the last suspect and nodded back at Mill. "Well, looks like everything's all cleared up. Let's high tail it back to the station. When we get there, I'll take care of the paperwork, you take these two into the detention center. I'm sure the local SS guy's gonna have a lot of fun with 'em."
He stepped into the driver's seat of the squad car and waited for Mill to get in.

"Sure thing, James. I'll offer you lunch for doing the paperwork, m'kay?", he smiled cheerily and hopped inside the vehicle. He checked the two people inside to make sure they weren't up for anything nasty, then clicked the holster tight again. "I'm ready."
