Too early, too early. Mauja wasn't used to the bright sun gleaming in his eyes, especially not from on top of cliffs. He had no recollection of how he got up there, however. Must've been from an outing with a girl that had struck his fancy. Whatever the reason, he was there now, and he'd be crazy to pass up the opportunity it possessed.
He recalled the time he had previously jumped from a cliff fondly. A nice group of animals had gathered at the bottom, betting on whether he would kill himself or not, and that strange blue hyena had followed him. Yeeesh. He hoped the crazy stalker wouldn't be a part of the package this time.
Lost in his train of though, Mauja pecariously trotted along the edge of the cliff, surveying anything that might be able to catch him at high speeds. He noted a large tree growing out from the side of the cliff, about one-hundred feet ahead of him and 150 down. About.

Ban'ma was feeling much better about her predicament than she had been just a few days before. It was okay to be alone, because she wasn't really alone. She had her family members in spirit and they were looking over her with all of their love. The thoughts put a bounce in her step and a smile on her face.
Since she wasn't hungry and didn't have anything to defend herself against, she was at a bit of a lose as to what to do. The sun was still high in the sky and even at this altitude, she didn't feel the need to nap in the slightest. It was invigorating, looking down the cliffsides. Sharp winds howled through the caverns at speeds that astounded her.
And yet, she was still as bored as ever. Bounding up to a higher peak, she noticed a brown feline perched on the edge of the cliff. It wasn't the first time she'd seen a cheetah, but it did surprise her that one was here, and so attractive at that. She hadn't expected company until she reached the grasslands, but she wasn't about to regret it either.
Curious as to what he was looking at, she trotted up next to him, the stripes on her back gleaming in the sunlight. Her claws met up with his and innocently, she peered over the side. "What exactly are we looking at?" She wanted to know, so that she wouldn't mistake it for something else.

While he was surprised to hear someone behind him, Mauja was sure as dirt he wasn't going to let whoever it was know it.
Flicking his ears back, Mauja's eyes remained in a constant stare, gazing down towards the ground almost two-hundred feet below. It was calling to him, and he knew he couldn't resist something like that.
But, he had company, and had to entertain them for awhile, at least until they thought he was completely out of his mind and left.
"We're looking at the stability of that tree." he rolled his head to the side, lazily gazing up at the lioness. Lioness? On a cliff? It seemed strange to him, as he'd only ever seen, well, himself up on a cliff like this.
"And what might you be staring at, my dear?" he smirked, wrapping his tail around her back leg.

Ban'ma's claws curled around the lip of the cliff as she hunkered down into pounce mode. Her rump shook in the air, but not because she was hunting for anything. With her face lower to the ground, she could get a better view.
The jump would be risky and possibly bone shattering. Surely he wasn't going to try it? Scrunching up her nose, she looked at the surrounding area. Nope. Nothing, but open space and a tree.
What was he up too?
She turned her head up to look at him, giving him a social smile. "At the moment, it would be you, handsome." Giggling a bit, she rose back up, her tail falling easier overtop of his. "I'm just a wee bit lost and until I can find where I'm going, I'll be looking down at the stability of that tree as well."
Although, there was a good possibility that he didn't want her there. "That is, if it's alright with you, -?"

Giving out a small huff, Mauja smiled. It wasn't often that the other party played along with his games, but it was nice to know that this lioness was a willing participant.
"So you know all about the stability of trees?" Mauja nodded his head in a circular pattern, a bemused expression crossing his maw. He moved himself closer to the lioness' body, waving his tail back and forth in the air.
"Well, company is never a bad thing." he smiled, eyeing her up and down. "Especially when they've got nowhere to go."
Lifting himself, Mauja took two steps to the left, over towards where the tree jutted out from the side of the cliff so far down. "So then, pretty girl, why don't you come have some fun with me?"

"I wouldn't say that." Ban'ma laughed easily, amused by the cheetah before her. He seemed like such a nice, smart man so it was very possible that he wasn't going to do what she thought he would. "I'm just an eager learner, is all."
She could feel the warmth beating through his heart. It added to what she already held and filled her with happiness. Ban'ma just loved to cuddle. Which is why she was so terribly forlorn when he pulled away.
Not to mention horrified. He really was going to do it.
The lioness padded after him, slightly nervous and looking down the cliff every couple of seconds. "I would love to join you. May I inquire as to what we will be doing?" Not cliff diving. Not cliff diving. Not cliff diving.
That was just plain suicide.

"Learner?" Mauja, who had begun to walk towards where the tree hung far down below, looked back at the lioness, a small smile on his maw. "I can teach you some wonderful things." He lightly ran his tail up her leg, letting it drop at her shoulder.
"Today, my dear, we shall be flying." he licked his lips as he thought of it; the feeling of rushing through the air at high speeds. In all the times he had done it, he'd never crashed.
Upon reaching the spot he wished to take off from, he twirled around so he was now facing the lioness. "Just promise me you'll trust me, kay?" he smirked, but wanted to make sure she wouldn't do anything, well, rash. He knew all too well that some people found what he did frightening, but it was a release, a stress reliever. "And after we're done, I'll do anything you'd like." He winked at the lioness, quickly leaning in to lick her cheek.

Ban'ma let a shiver shake her up as her eager little heart beat out of rhythm. Even with as much as she liked to cuddle, the lioness had barely entertained thoughts of other activities. Yet, she felt a flirtatious vibe around this cheetah. "Oh, I'm sure you could, sweet pea." She said softly and followed after him like a cub.
"F-flying?" Her voice hitched up and instantly her sexual curiosity spiked to fear. "Baby, you'd have to be insane to try flying. Only birds can do that." She spoke softly, nodding along with herself as she tried to rationalize it out.
Of course, she was right at his side and felt her heart flutter again when he looked at her. There was something about those eyes that gave her the vapors. Ban'ma's eyes widened when he licked her and she hid her face behind her little mane, trying to cover her blush. "A-alright," she said timidly, gathering up her resolve. He was scaring her with this talk of flying, but surely he wouldn't do anything to extreme....would he? "Just don't leave me behind."

"Iiiiit's an art." Mauja didn't want to make it sound as dangerous as it really was. Sure, landing was pretty painful, and if you screwed anything up you were pretty much dead, but the falling part was worth the danger.
"If you don't want me to, then I won't." he stopped abruptly, turning around to stare at her. Usually, he didn't let anything stop him from his fun, but this female was playing nice with him, so he decided to hold off while she was with him.
"My love, what do you want me to do?" he slowly walked up to her, a small smile.

"I thought art was drawings in the mud," She said suspiciously with one brow cocked up, her hair falling just over the normal one as she tilted her head to him. Ban'ma chewed on her lip nervously. "B-but I...could be wrong."
She was trying to keep an open mind, really she was, but it was all just so...overwhelming. When he stared at her, some part of her brain melted. "Oh no! You have to do it!" Ban'ma blurted out, placing her paw ontop of his as she nodded. "Baby, if flying is what you were doin' and if thats what makes you happy, you shouldn't even think about stopping for me. I've just never seen it done properly before."
The caucassian lioness hunkered down next to him with her rump positioned in the air, ready to give it a good go. She gulped and had she been religious, she would have prayed to the gods.

"Art is anything that is beautiful, love." Mauja twirled, spinning his tail around him elegantly. "Like you." He smiled and winked, adoring her spunky little personality. It was the complete opposite of the girl he had spent most of his time with, but he found it just as charming.
"So, my dear, you'd like to see my show, would you?" It would be his first private showing; usually, it was either only him, or a small crowd would form around the base of whatever he was jumping from.
Trotting over towards the edge, he gazed down contently, loving the feeling of the wind blowing through his mane. He knew it'd hurt later on, but the feeling was worth it.

"Pretty as I am, I'm not art." She placed a paw on her chest and batted her eyelashes daintily, quickly erupting in a fountain of giggles. Ban'ma was having a hard time keeping her head on straight around him. After all, it wasn't every day that such a handsome cheetah complimented a girl.
"I don't want to see it; I want to be a part of it. Like an apprentice." Her legs were locked into position, preventing her from nervously clinging to his side. There was no way she was going over to that edge, at least, not until it was time. She took a deep breath and exhaled shakily. "Oh Gods, I'm gonna die." Ban'ma whispered.

"You sure, my dearest?" His heart almost jumped at the thought. He'd never taken anyone on one of his 'flights' before, so he wasn't sure how it'd go. He just didn't want for her to get hurt.
"See down there?" He flicked his nose towards the tree where he hoped to grapple onto for a landing. "Just aim for that. And when you hit it, hold on for dear life." Mauja let out a laugh, but it was a nervous laugh. Nervous, yet excited at the same time.
Pausing, he tried to think about another possibility. He wasn't sure if his small frame would be able to support her, though, in a free-fall.
"Jump with me, love?" He eyed her, confirming that she wanted to go through with it. It was a scary thing to do, but after someone's done it, they tend to love the thrill.
That's what he thought, anyway.

"Ya, I'm sure." Ban'ma nodded resolutely. She followed his gesture to the tree below and neither had a fit. "You want me to land on that? What if I don't make it?" His laughter wasn't helping her at all. Who laughed in the face of danger? She was starting to think he was crazy.
Caution was already gone. She'd made up her mind that one way or another she was going to cliff dive with him. There wasn't room to back out. Ban'ma turned to him and smiled. A little nervously, but confident and excited. "Let's do it."

(( I was wondering, could we end this in kind of a cliff-hanger? Like, they jump -> end? o: *is in desperate need of this finished rp, and since it's so old* ))
"Oh, don't worry too much at the details. You'll land just fine." Smiling over at her, his chest swelled with confidence. He'd never missed before, not even on his first try. Granted, he did have a lot more experience, but he had faith in the lioness' abilities.
"Just focus, love, and everything will go according to plan." Taking in a deep breath, he flexed his muscles and hurled himself off the side of the cliff, doing a little spin in the air. His emotions all slipped away as he watched the clouds suspended above him. The rush of air coming up from underneath him felt amazing, a great relief from the sun. He felt like a bird, and that's what always made the later pain all worth it.
Filled with adrenaline, he pointed his eyes towards his target, and simply hoped for the best. After all, you've gotta have a little faith in the world to have any sort of fun. And Mauja's life was one big party.
