BROKEN
Broken and falling
What have I done
I have fallen
From my soft life
The beast wont fall back
It dwells under the surface
It threatens to break free
To consume me
To take everything away
The light is fading
Is my effort worthless?
Was their love worthless
Hope is a lie that doesn’t stop giving
Friendship is worth nothing
Love is a broken light
LOST HOPE
Have you lost your heart?
What happened to you?
You were so kind
You were so gentle
You were my friend, my savior
You were the light behind my smile
Did you lose yourself?
Where did you go?
You had a gruff kind of peace about you
You used to smile and laugh
You used to get embarrassed when I hugged you
You used to be the life of our group
The light has left your eyes
The grace left your movements
A scowl replaced your smile
A growl replaced your laugh
I wonder if this new image is the real you?
I wonder if we did this to you?
Could the happiness we shared be a lie?
Could the laughs we shared be nothing more than cover-ups?
I want, no need to know what we shared was real
Did I actually make you sad?
Did I actually bring you pain?
Was the life you gave me real?
Was the life you led false?
Please answer my pleads because I need to know!
