Siti moved toward where she remembered Mito's den to be. It had been such a long time since she been truly in the rogue lands. She grown so use to her pride, she almost forgotten the freedom on roaming. One of her daughters, Lilavati was at her heels excited, as always for an adventure. Lila spent most of her time between her precious Ja'ka Papa and her brother Tendaji. It seemed as though everyone else fell to the wayside, except for today when she insisted she most go on an adventure with her mama.
Siti smiled at her cub, she was sure she was getting nearer. She was pretty sure she could see it just up ahead. She turned to Lila, "Alright now, climb up the tree and wait their till I call for you." For once Lila did as she was told without protest and happily bounded up the tree to watch the rest of the adventure. Siti sighed and wandered if the rest of her young were following. She really wanted to surprise her old friend, but she was beginning to feel it cubs were just eager to meet him. The one they'd traveled so far to see.
Siti sighed and turned forward again heading off without Lila, toward the den she'd spent a small amount of time in and left with a special souvenir. The closer she got the more she knew she'd finally found it.
"Mito," she called, "Mito? Are you there?"

 It was such an adventure! Meeting her real father? Nyeupe had dreamed, longed for this moment. Now it was so close. All she had to do was hang back and wait for her mother to tell her to come over. It was very exciting, to say the least, and she couldn’t wait to have all her dreams come true. He had to be green. Some of the others were green. Of COURSE he was green. And the diamond! Would it be on his arm too? Oh, she hoped so.
She wanted to see him so badly.
Her father.
 Mito, meanwhile, was completely oblivious that a small herd was waiting just out of his view. All he knew was a familiar voice had asked for him at the entrance to his den. Yawning, he rose to his feet, claws scratching the hard floor as he gave them a good stretch. Who was it? Someone he knew. But… it seemed a distant memory now. Peeking out from the den, an expression of curiosity quickly became one of delight.
“I must be blessed!” he hummed, “Siti- as I live and breathe! It sure has been a while, my dear! How have you been? Getting on well, I hope.” He was nothing but smiles as he came out to greet her, giving her forehead a tap with his own in a light, but friendly greeting. “What brings you to my neck of the savannah?”

Siti smiled happy at her friend, sitting down before him. "I said I would come back to visit and I am a lioness of my word. I traveled a long way after I last left and adopted up two sons along the way before I joined Simbafutagi. Its a pride for wanders that also gather information, anything in general really. I love it there, it by the sea and I get to eat fish."
Siti's tail swished back and forth, obviously in great joy over her accomplishments. "Life has been good. As I hope it has been for you as well."
The statement was really a question and Siti waited patiently for Mito to update her on his life since they'd last met, even though she had more to tell.

“Sounds like you’ve been having a great time of things!” Mito hummed, “I’m doing quite well myself. Took in a couple kids. Watched them grow into fine adults. I’ve traveled the rogue lands as far as these chubby feet will take me, meeting all kinds of crazy critters along the way. It’s been a very exciting time. But I think this has to take the cake for best moment so far. It’s great to see you!”
She seemed like she was doing every bit as well as she mentioned herself being, so he had no reason to doubt her word. It was nice to see her happy. They were good friends, after all.
Their meeting had been a pretty special one.
“So you’re just here for a visit? I hope this pride of yours wasn’t too far out of the way! Would hate for you to have to go on a long walk just to chat with me.”

Siti smiled happily knowing Mito knowing he'd beeb doing will and he'd raised a few adopted one too. Her adopted boys were all grown up as well, both fine adults and great additions to the pride.
"I am glad you are doing well Mito and that you have had fun travels. It is great to see you as well."
Siti allowed herself to settle a bit more before speaking again. "I admit the pride is not close, but we have had fun. I've come with my son, my mate and have brought a very special surprise for you."
Siti's face colored slightly, she never been shamed by her fling with her friend, no in fact she'd always been proud to have bore cubs for her friend, but admitting it was nerve racking.
"The last time we parted I was left with a very special gift from you or rather five special gifts." Siti smiled, "5 cubs, 1 boy and 4 girls who are all very excited to see you. I am quite certain that they have followed me and are waiting by the tree a ways over there."

She had a mate? Oddly enough, he found it didn’t bother him at all. They had been friends, nothing more. It was actually great to hear she had found someone to spend her days with. He couldn’t have been more happy for her. Especially considering the circumstances under which they had met one another.
“A surprise for me?” Now that had him interested. Arching an eyebrow, he sat down, wrapping his tail around his back leg while he waited to hear what it was she had for him.
He was hoping for something in the meat family.
What she had to say took him completely by surprise. Cubs? Made of meat, yes, but not the kind he had been expecting. “I…. five cubs?! Really?! Five little Mitos?! Well, little Sitis and a Mito. That’s amazing! They’re here? Oh… may I see them?” He wasn’t sure what was churning in his stomach- excitement or terror. He’d never had a female tell him about any cubs before!
Was it a good thing? She seemed happy. Was she there to yell at him for not knowing about them? No. She wasn’t the kind. And it was not the time to worry- all he could think about was seeing the little things.

Siti was happy Mito seemed excited about his cubs. "Yes five, little cubs that look just like us. And of course you can meet them, thats why I brought them. I wanted them to know you. You are afterall their father and my dear friend."
Siti stood and shook the dust from her fur, "I call them over, the tree isnt to far and they will be alot faster than us."
Siti can a low roar to her five little one letting them know it was okay to venture over and turned to Mito. "Brace yourself," she said grinning, "Lila and Tenji can be a bit rough."
Lilavati heard her mama's call and was up in a second scrambling down the tree where'd she watched her mama and another from. She quickly darted through the grasses making a b-line for her mom and calling out to her brother and sisters to hurry up.
She reached her mom in no time, but stopped dead in her tracks at the large male beside her. Lilavati gasped, "Mama, mama, he looks just like Tendaji."

 Tendaji had seen his mom and Lila go off on a walk and his curiosity was slowly getting the better of him as they got farther and farther away. He knew that he was not officially invited to go with them but when Nyeupe started to follow he went along too, at a distance of course. He was still behind his mom when Siti told Lila to climb a tree and went on to a den that was in the distance.
Ten waited at the base of the tree, no way was he going to climb it, and watched as his mom talked with some strange lion. When Siti called the cubs to come on over and Lila tore out of the tree, rushing over, Tendaji followed just as fast.
Running as fast as he could, trying to keep up with Lila he did not have time stop when she stopped suddenly. Like before he ran into his sister and went tumbling until he came to a stop between the two older lions. With the world still spinning about him he grinned sheepishly up at his mom from his back and said, "Hi momma."

 Kitandiko had been plodding along in her own little world, not too concerned with her siblings or the journey itself. It hadn't been her idea to come along on this little outing, but she had done so because her mother wanted this for them, and who was she to disagree?
She told herself all along that she wasn't interested in meeting her father. That she didn't need to get excited. Something bad was going to happen, because nothing good ever happened without consequence. If she just stayed impassive, she wouldn't have to worried about being hurt by anything.
But she was excited. She did want to meet her real father. And she couldn't keep herself from hoping that he might like her.
What if he didn't? That would be crushing. Just one more person she couldn't be friends with, because there was something about her that kept people at bay. She just wasn't 'that girl'. She wasn't popular.
Sighing, the green and darker green lioness watched as her siblings moved to respond to Siti's call. Swallowing hard, she padded after them, spotting the big male that had given her half her genes. She stopped a good distance away. Nervous. He looked so nice. Fluffy. Like a pillow. What if he didn't like her? She moved closer, passing her siblings, and, deciding there was nothing to do but go on her impulses, got right up close to Mito. She didn't sniff him or say hi. All she did was climb onto him as best she could, from where he was sitting, and clung to his side with her paws splayed out.

Nyeupe was happy to see that they were finally allowed to go see the male their mother had been talking to. From the distance between them, she hadn't been able to make out much other than that he looked a lot like her brother Ten and sister Kit. Deep green. She ran towards her mother at the call, stopping beside her a moment to watch what the others would do.
A princess wasn't supposed to just leap into things, right? Others had to test the waters first. Make sure it was safe. But her brother and sister weren't moving forward. It was Kit who finally broke the ice.
Grinning, the little brown cub moved forward, meeting noses with her large, fluffy father.
"Hi!" she purred, "I'm princess Nyeupe! You have a diamond on you, just like me!"

Mito couldn't believe his eyes- little cubs! Their colors and markings more than enough proof that they really did belong partly to him. "Hello, little ones," he offered to Ten and Lila, watching them stick close to their mother. Nyeupe soon joined them.
He let them move without encouraging them, not wanting to scare them since he was a damn big lion. Width-wise, anyway.
As a small green cub started to scale him, Mito lowered himself closer to the ground, amused. She was like a little blanket. Something of a perfect match, he felt, to himself. Already he loved them, and he had only just met them. Purring contently, he bumped noses with another daughter.
"A princess! I imagine so, such a pretty thing. And what about the rest of you? what are your names?"

Siti grinned as her cub, their cub interacted with their father. She quickly nuzzled Tendaji and Lilavati before righting the cubs. She sat back up in time to hear Mito's question.
Siti looked to And who was on Mito back and laughed slightly, "Well, my little blanket on you back is Kitandiko, or And for short though Lila calls her Kitan."
Lila turned to Lilavati giving her a slight nudge forward. "This is Lilavati, the little adventurer, tree climber, and future healer. We mostly call her Lila."
She moved to Tendaji, "This Tendaji, the only boy and a little ball of wisdom. We call him Ten, though Lila calls him Tenji, as do I sometimes."
She looked to Nyeupe who was right up close to Mito, "Nyeupe'almasi has already introduced herself. She is quite a the little princess manners and all."
Siti looked around and frowned slightly feeling panic rising in her chest, where was Halona. "Oh dear, where is Halona?"
Siti stood feeling panic that her young daughter had not come when she called and turned, "You four stay here with your father. I'm going back to the den to see if Halona is there, if I am gone to long I will send Jasiri, Udo, or Korrin for you. Mind Mito now, I'll be back I promise."
With that Siti turned and headed off quickly in the direction of the temporary den where she and her family were staying.

Lila yelped when Tenji bowled her over, but sighed in relief when he mother righted her again. She pushed Tendaji slightly frowning before she turned her eyes toward the large male in front of her. She was about to approach him when her mother's panic stopped her. She hadn't remembered she Halona, not that she was paying that much attention to her siblings. No, she'd been focused on her mother and the male if front of her.
Suddenly it seemed as though her mother was leaving and Lila becamed very confused. Father? Mito? She'd missed that part of the explanation when they were leaving, she'd been to excited to simply go on adventure. By the time her body caught up to her mind to tell her mother she did not wish to stay her mother was off.
Now Lila sat staring at the male, her father with an angry expression. She did not wish to be here anymore. No, right now she wanted her mama, Ja'ka papa, her big brother and her other siblings to be together and heading back to the pride.
"You're not papa," said Lila.

When Siti set Ten on his feet he gave his head a shake making his small main fluff out for a moment. And as the would righted itself he tuned into what his mom was saying. Wait! What? he mentally asked as he caught the tail end of the conversation about 'your father' and Siti going to look for Halona. He watched silently as Siti walked off and thought, Oh so she gets to wander off but we can't?
He was so focused on his mom leaving that he didn't really get a good look at the male that they were currently with. The big male looked strikingly similar to himself and even had some of the coloring of his sisters, "Well that answers a lot of questions." He was not about to immediately dislike his father, unlike Lila, but he also didn't want to be disloyal to Jasiri'ka.
"Lila that's not nice, besides I though I was the rude one!" Ten told his sister, when she insulted their father.

And heaved a sigh through her nose, settling on Mito's back when he lowered himself and gave her a better space to splay out over. She liked his smell. Something about him struck her as all too familiar, and she liked it. Nuzzling into his fluffy back, she perked her ear forward when she heard her sister bad mouthing him.
"Of course he's our dad," she said, voice muffled by the fur. Impatience was one of her strong points, "just because he doesn't live with us doesn't mean he's not. Yeah, you like that other lion better, but I don't. He never even talks to me."
She wiggled slightly, but didn't really leave her blanket posture, "you, though," she said to Mito, not knowing if he could hear her change targets, "feel like family. I hope you like me."
She didn't know what possessed her to voice her biggest fear in that moment out loud, for everyone to hear and, if they were so inclined, tease. But it was too late to take it back now. She sighed again, ruffling his fur, burying her face in his back and hoping her words were just lost to the air.
