Hello and welcome to Streetcorner Symphony. As it says on the home page, I've created this guild with all intentions of making it a Role Playing Guild. Yeah, yeah, I know there are tons of those and I'm not going to try and dazzle you by telling you how different mine is from others. All I'm going to do is explain how I want this to work.
The first time I thought of making my own guild was when most of the guilds I was in started to become in-active. It sucked, because I was in a lot of good RPs and was having a great time. You might know how it is, I'm not really sure. If you do though, it sucks right? That's when I started thinking of my own guild. But I don't want it to be just a role playing guild. I want people to be able to come in here and talk about anything that pertains to writing.
Here is a list of sub-forums we hope to create:
1. Fan Fiction
2. Critiquing
3. Think Tank
(a place to come up with new idea's and or characters)
4. OOC
5. One-on-One RPs
And don't hesitate to ask a for a new forum. It will be taken into consideration by the guild moderators, as well as any members that wish to give their opinion. Then in a while, you may see it added.
Also, don't forget to stop in and take a look at our Guild Thread just to see what's going on! Or, if you want to try RPing with us before you actually join, you can go there. We have a Free-For-All RP there and you can always just drop in.

Rules 1. Everything must be kept at a pg-13 level! Absolutely everything!!
2. You must follow the Gaia TOS.
3. Give everyone the utmost respect - and no flaming. If you've got a problem with someone, tell myself or the Mods.
4. Violence in a RP is fine, but don't give us all the gory details.
5. No spamming outside the OOC thread!
6. Don't be stupid - if it seems wrong to you, don't do it.
7. If you join a RP and then decide not to show up, tell the Thread Masters because they have a right to know.
8. If you want your RP to be deleted, notify a Mod or myself.
9. If you see something offensive or someone violating the rules, notify a Mod or myself.
10. No god-moding. It's just annoying. No instant hits, etc.
11. No Cybering. It's just gross.
12. The_Doctors_Wife is my Vice Captain. If anything happens while I'm not here, or my account gets hacked or something like that, you do what she says, when she says it. Hell, you do that when I am here as well.
13. If you want a thread moved to the Archives, notify a Mod or myself.
Rules are bound to be added at any time, so be sure to keep an eye on them.

How To Post An RP
In most roleplays, the people searching want to know the status of your roleplay. So, in the title of your roleplay, you should post some indication of this.
Examples:
[A] - Accepting
[F] - Full
[G] - Person in Charge is Gone
[UC] - Under Construction
[NA] - Application Not Required (not preferable)
[M] - Move to the Archives Sub-Forum (please don't be too hasty, some people might still want to RP - you may take a vote by creating a poll on your thread to see if anyone still does)
[X] - Action on this roleplay has ceased or slowed or for any other reason the threadmaker wishes to close (delete) it. Please don't be hasty to delete your work - you may take a vote by creating a poll on your thread to see if anyone still wants to roleplay.Also, when you post your thread, it would be very helpful if you were able to give an idea for the type of RP. For example, if you were doing a Science-Fiction RP, you would put the title of it, whether or not it's full or accepting, and then a [SF] for science-fiction, get it? Examples:[H] - Historical [HF] - Historical Fiction [FAN] - Fantasy - School [ACT] - Action [AD] - Adventure [R] - Romance [FF] - FanFiction [SF] - Science Fiction [SU] - Suspense [M] - Mystery [RL] - Realistic [AN] - Angst [SN] - Supernatural [HR] - Horror [D] - Drama [SR] - Survival More to be added later!

How To Join
So, now that you've read the rules, you obviously know what we are and are not going to allow. Please, following those rules is a must. We don't like to do it, but if we see you breaking those rules, punishment will be closely followed, maybe even a ban!
Now, there are only two things we want to see in the request to join applications. One is a reason why you want to join, explaining why you think you'd make a good member and why you like to RP. The other thing we want are a few samples of your RPing. There is to be a minimum of two samples. At least one of them must include dialog of some form. Please do not just send us a bunch of character descriptions.
In the off chance that your samples don't fit in the given form, just send them to the Vice - Captain or Crew Members with an appropriate subject line. You also still have to send the application telling us you did that.
Please, please, please, if you get rejected, don't send us a message asking. It wastes our time and we likely won't answer.
