Lilly lightly ran her hand along the binding of the fiction books as she walked stopping once when she reached what seemed like an interesting title. Then she plucked the book from the shelf and scanned the back. This was routine whenever she needed something new to read. She’d continue the process until she found something of interest.
“I wonder…if they have any good manga!” Lilly smiled brightly at the idea. She had been here for a while but only recently discovered the library. She had been working her way quickly through fiction, as she did with any library. Yet manga was always something she enjoyed reading when the opportunity allowed. She glanced around still holding the book she had looked at in her hand. She scanned the back again deciding if she really wanted to read it before putting it back. It wouldn’t take too long for her to become the first person to go to if you were looking for fiction. It normally worked out that way. Lilly began to walk through the shelves once more. Again managing to mumble to herself without meaning to. “It’s recreation right? Hmm…recreation, recreation, recreation…” she mumbled as she scanned the shelves. "Maybe it's better I stick to what I can find?" she turned to go back to fiction looking around a bit. "I think this library is a lot bigger than the last time I was here." she mumbled.

"Okay, I don't think she's here this time..."

Sneaking into the library with his ninja-ish ninja skills, the leader of Noble Symphonia held a large compilation of Animated data and was trying to sneak it back in. This would be the first time that he had kept a book too long, and knowing who the librarian was, John was more liable to be turned into target practice than be handed a fee.

Making it to the "return books here" slot without any sign of a certain spellcaster, John slid the book in slowly and let it drop. Phew. Disaster averted. His eyes darting left and right, he made the decision that he was rather sick of reading up on the Animated; he had spent enough time in the Shallow Seas to know what was easy to take care of by himself and what needed to be ganged up on. For the moment, that information would suffice.

Walking around the library, John wanted to find some light reading; he had no plans tonight, yet he wouldn't mind a nice, easy story to lull himself to sleep. Wandering to the fiction section, he saw a member of his clan, yet did not know her by name.

"Hi!" He announced to her, then wincing. That may have been a bit too loud.

"Hi. What's your name?" he asked in whisper.

Lilly turned around, more in surprise before he quieted down. She let out a breathe, and smiled. "Lilly." she blinked. He seemed like a person she should know. "What about you?" she asked a bit embarrassed. 'Note to self, when you join a clan memorize as many names AND faces as possible.' She took a random book from the shelf before quickly scanning the cover. The name was familiar. Perhaps a book she had once read? For a second she considered asking him where the manga was. Than again she didn't want to ask such a thing. She could figure it out...sooner or later.
Placing the book carefully on the shelf where she had gotten it from and looked back up at him, with a smile smile that was was forcing, just to be polite.

John breathed a slight laugh and smiled back, albeit a little forced. It was hard to smile genuinely when both parties didn't have a reason to smile. Slipping past her, John fingered their rather large collection of Clamp titles. Seeing the first issue of Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle. Ally highly recommended that series, so he took it and began to flip through the pages.

"I'm John." he said off-handedly. "So, looks like we're both into manga."

Lilly hit her forehead with her palm. "I knew they were in recreation." she smiled brightly. Taking a look at the large selection of titles. Her eyes sparkled a bit. For once a library that bothered to buy an entire series of manga and not just half of the books. Quickly she had noticed a few series she had wanted to read. "Is the librarian in? I thin I'd like to check out a few books." she began to take the ones she had particular interest in off the shelf and stack them in her hands. This included all the +Anima books, the entire Kingdom of hearts series, and anything else that looks interesting. Ending with a massive stack. "I think...I can finished these by tomorrow." she smiled happy with herself. "Thanks John." she said happily as she picked up the large pile of books.

"Wow."

And he thought Ally was a heavy ready. Well, yes, she was, but this girl Lily certainly had what it took to be an Ally-caliber reader. He saw a bit of everything in there, taking particular note of the Kingdom Hearts manga she had. That was a good series, to be sure, yet he preferred the game to the manga.

"Do you, uhhh... need help with that?" he asked slowly.

Lilly smiled as she split the stack in half. One half for each arm. "I don't think so." she said taking a few steps before tripping, and dropping everything. Something only she could pull off. Lilly pulled herself to her knees and quickly began to gather the books, and anything else she may have dropped. Though she couldn't help but smile at it. Things like this always happened, she found a bit of irony to them considering she could be quite graceful when she tried. If John wasn't here she'd probably break out i laughter. Though she knew to refrain from such strange behavior.

John covered his mouth, shielding Lily from a small snicker. Wow, she was clumsy. Really clumsy, like... John-caliber clumsy. Kneeling down in front of her, he began picking up the manga she had dropped. While he could appreciate that she was an avid reader, she might want to consider easing into so many books at once.

"So, Lily. Where ya from?" he asked, making small talk as the pile of manga in his arms began to grow.

She smiled at the ground as she picked up more of the books. She realized she may have gotten too many. She should consider only taking a few for now. She could always come back after dinner for some more. It only took a half hour or so to read manga. It's one of the reasons she took so many.
Her best solution was to shrug and smile at him. "Earth...I think. Or at least I hope so. Maybe not, I don't think I'm as used to gravity as everyone else." she smiled making a point by the scattered books. Even though the pile was small now. "Thanks." she said politely, at the fact he'd taken the time to help her. "Next time I'll bring a wagon. Just in case, I'm not used to such a large library. The selection kills me since I'm such a heavy reader. And I still have to go out and fight animated. It's a bit hectic. I'm not sure if I still have time to sleep." she shrugged.

John grinned wryly. As if the clan didn't have enough smart-alecks...

"I... kinda meant what part of Gaia." he restated. "Like me, for instance. I'm from Barton, but my sister Ally's got a place in Aekea. What about you?"

The ninja blinked at her comment about fighting the Animated. Yes, they were a hassle, that was for sure, yet every Animated defeated meant, for the moment, it was one less Animated attacking Gaia.

"Where are you doing your fighting?" he asked, setting the books on a nearby shelf.

Lilly smiled "Right, sorry." she looked away "I'm from Durem." she shrugged. She didn't find it incredibly important. Most people understood what it meant when you used sarcasm to get off topic so you wouldn't have to actually answer the question.

"Mostly Old Aqueduct and Gold Beach, the animated from Otami are still a little tough for me."

She gave a smug smile "But if I could I'd love to fight in Otami. Most of my quests are there anyway. I need an escort to even survive there though."

"What about you?"

John grinned nervously, breaking out in a slight sweat. Was it just him, or did she really have no idea who he was? Grimacing, he realized that one of his fears might be true; he wasn't around as much as he ought to be.

"Ohhhh, ya know," he began, his eyes' focus moving to his suddenly interesting shoes. "I hang around in Gold Beach. If you're having trouble with the Otomi Ruins, maybe I can give you a hand sometime?"

Lilly nodded looking away a bit. He seemed a bit on edge. She had that feeling it was her fault and she had done something wrong...again. "I'm not really ready to go to Otami." she said a bit nervous. "I just have quests there." she shrugged. She wasn't going to say anything about the fact that all of her quests were in Otami. "But that would be nice." she made an empty attempt at a smile.

John smiled back to the best of his ability, but it was hard when the recipient's smile was so... forced. He wasn't really sure how to proceed; his gut told him to ask what was wrong, but his mind said to cut his losses and make a hasty retreat for anywhere else but here.

"Are you okay?" he asked blankly. "Is something bothering you?"

Of course, John would rather follow his digestive organs than the critical part of his nervous system.

Lilly titled her head a bit and shrugged. "I feel a lot newer to this clan than I really am. I don't even recall when I joined, I mean, I could look it up but...and I still don't know many people. It is...a bit frustrating." Lilly shrugged. She couldn't even force a smile, she couldn't recall why she had even blurted that out. Standing up and gathering the rest of the books, she placed a few back on the shelf until she could easily carry what she had. Which was still a lot, but less than how she started. She looked to make sure she put the books back where they belong before setting the books she wanted to check out on a near bye table.
