"Oh, you're awake. I'm Deianda Souvern, by the way. What's your name?" the young woman asked, leaning forward as soon as she saw the man move. It was obvious she was highborn, yet her speech was accented by common slang. She turned her head slightly, peering out a window behind her.

"Father, he's awake," she told someone, before returning her attention to the stranger. Her piercing green eyes stared at him unmercifully, studying him. "You're quite good-looking, but it's obvious you're not human. What's your name?" she repeated, as if forgetting she had already asked that.

"Well, your eyes and skin, obviously," she replied, as if that was a stupid question. Ignoring her father's reply, she turned her full attention on the stranger - and that was something to be feared. "Well, Maldren Maycura, do you have any idea why we'd pick you up off the road without knowing anything about you?" she asked. "Oh, I wouldn't try to sit up, you're pretty banged up, after all," she added absently, as if it wasn't a major concern.

"Laying in the middle of the road. Father still had do a good deed, so he decided to let the servants pack you into the carriage," she said cheerfully, smiling brightly. "And how I am supposed to know you got there? I'm not a mind-reader," she informed him, shaking her head as if wondering if he had bonked his head or something like that.

"Yes. You're asking, so I'm assuming you don't know yourself," Deianda replied bluntly. She stared at him another moment longer before turning out the window behind her again. "Father! I hope you settle things quickly, I do believe our guest has some injuries I didn't find," she called to the man, before turning to the stranger again, who was staring at her with his jaw dropped. "That's right, I got to make sure you didn't have any life-threatening injuries," she told him cheerfully, as if she had enjoyed it far too much.

"Oh, I had to check everywhere. Of course. We had no idea what was wrong with you," Deianda replied cheerfully, her smile only growing wider. "He looks like a tomato with white sprouts," she thought, watching his color change to an interesting shade. "But he's still handsome, even as an aging tomato."
"It's all right, I wasn't that shocked," she added with a wave of her hand, somehow managing to imply that she had been, and yet at the same time sounding completely innocent about the whole thing.

Deianda rolled her eyes - the man was good-looking but slow! "Of course. I have some ability in healing, it made the most sense. Honestly." She shook her head in amusement, leaning over to pat his head with a smile. "It's all right, I didn't take advantage of you while you were unconscious," she assured him sweetly.

"Oh, we're traveling back home after Father's business trip. We're a few days off, so he's looking for a suitable place to camp tonight. Of course, you'll be with me so I can keep an eye on you," she added cheerfully. It was so easy to make the man blush - and fun! He looked absolutely terrified, even of her, which was even funnier. She'd hardly do anything to him, but he didn't know that.
