Okay, okay, so I know they're not "cheap". sweatdrop But do you know of any that are under $200?
I'm kind of new to this, not to mention 14, so I have a small budget. (: I'd really like a doll, though. Any ideas?

Bobobie is pretty darn cheap.. but the one I got isn't too strong in the stringing. So you might want to learn how to restring if you get that brand just in case~

I'de have to agree, Bobobie would be your best bet, if you want to get an Asian BJD. Personally, I don't like the quality of Bobobie, but my best friend has one and she loves him. A great doll if your on a strict budget.

There is also the option of ordering a doll from http://denverdoll.com/ they have three-four month layaway options. ^-^ They also do sell Bobobie dolls there, and if they're in stock you can get them within a week or so.

Only other dolls I can think of that are $200 and under, are leekworld's tinies, or very tiny bjds in general, but if you're looking for a larger size, there's almost none, unless you just want to buy parts. Otherwise you might get lucky and buy cheaper second hand in DOA marketplace or other forums that have such market places. But in the long run, if you're just gonna get one because it's the best you can get at the time and not cause you chose it, you'll most likely wind up selling it off later. I learned this the hard way with my first two dolls. ^^;

Angel of Dream has some of the least expensive dolls that I've seen, (1/4 scale is $165 and 1/3 scale is $265, I mean, holy crap, man!) and there's a state-side seller on eBay Dollfie's Fashion Island that sells pretty much their full line, so you wouldn't even have to pay over-seas shipping. Their dolls are double-jointed, whereas Bobobi are standard-jointed, so that's an aesthetic decision you'll need to make. They have some really nice sculpts too, I'm planning on buying a Ruo Feng with a girl body in a couple months to be a character of mine. Also, if you have an interest in saving money by doubling up on dolls, Custom House tends to do an 'event' every two months or so where they pretty much sell two dolls for the price of one. The disadvantage of Custom House is that they have a 4-6 month wait-time after you order. I got two Junior Ai during their October Event and I received them in March (which was earlier than some people, because they seem to respond faster to the people who bug them with a lot of questions). They Have a lot of very pretty sculpts and Junior Ai and Ange Ai are double-jointed, the other sizes are standard-jointed. If you put up a thread on the DoA marketplace, you could probably find somebody who would want to split an order with you during one of the events, thereby getting you a half-priced doll, but you'd be looking at a 4 month (at least) wait before you actually got your doll.

Just be careful. A good portion of the time you get what you pay for. I've heard people complain about Bobobie, but there are those that love them. I know for me I did LOADS of research, found the doll I wanted and just saved for her. Best luck.

It really depends on the size of doll you're looking for, too. The smaller the size, the higher up the company you can go. Denver Doll Emporium, Mint on Card, and JunkySpot are all located in the US (so shipping will be less expensive) and carry a good deal of inexpensive dolls. But you have to remember that wigs and eyes and outfits can get quite pricey, too if $200 is your end limit. Bobobie/Resinsoul dolls are definitely the most inexpensive.
