The RP Prompt Opt-In Form! (Also known as the RP Prompt Option Form!) You must send in a correctly filled-out form before you begin receiving prompts. If we have problems or concerns with your form, we will PM you to let you know. If everything's fine with your form, your appointment will appear on the lists below so that you know you're set and we're working on your next prompt!

Instructions Prompt Flavor
Though we will leave your child wholly up to you as she or he grows older, we would like to do a little godmode of the younger stages to reveal interesting quirks, throw developmental curveballs, suggest hidden talents, and so forth. These prompts are of the normal Flavor, Chocolate -- nothing truly drastic will happen to your child, but we'll be pulling things from your pregnancy form, roleplays, and journals to give you a few small surprises and challenges.
But if you would like prompts to give you only ideas for scenes to roleplay and do not want curveballs, you can specify under Flavor that you want Vanilla prompts -- stripped-down events and scenarios that happen to almost anybody. For example, "Your child's old pediatrician retires, and you must take him/her to a new one." "It's about time for your infant's teeth to start appearing. Is it a difficult or easy experience?"
... Now, if you're a nut and want more than mere curveballs, you can ask for Rocky Road, and the managers will do their best to come up with really weird and scary stuff. (I don't anticipate most parents would be this adventurous, but hey! I'm putting the option in.)Warning 6/7/09: We're not kidding about "weird and scary." If you sign up for Rocky Road, don't get mad at us if your child loses a limb. Though it probably won't be that drastic, don't bet on having four limbs at the end of it all...In summary: Vanilla is for those who would like some inspiration but want or need more freedom in characterization or making long-term plans. Vanilla has the most freedom, but is not as exciting. Chocolate is the normal, recommended option, inserting some surprises and challenges but giving you plenty of discretion in solving them -- it can be as easy or hard as you make it. Chocolate can also be swirled with vanilla or have added nuts. Rocky Road is for those who want to put their child through unpredictable, dangerous, possibly frightening early stages. Rocky Road has the least freedom, but is a lot more exciting.Do Not Want List
We would also like to know about your severe dislikes, phobias, squicks, and so forth. Now, your child will definitely not be subjected to anything that would be commonly acknowledged as horrified or extremely traumatizing for most people to RP. ... However, perhaps there are some things you personally find disturbing, something that most other people do not, that you just do not want to see in a prompt (think "schoolyard bullying," "death of any animal including insects" -- most people wouldn't be bothered by RPing this on a forum, but these items might upset some people.) Hence, the Do Not Want List.
The purpose of the Do Not Want List is not to protect your child from trauma -- that is what Flavor is for. The Do Not Want List is to protect you from trauma.
There are some restrictions, though. You may only list five items or fewer, and each item must be encapsulated in 20 words or less. You should be serious about what you put down. If you find yourself listing enormous categories of things like "my child can never be in pain," you may want to go for the Vanilla flavor or Opt Out entirely.
WARNING: While you will not receive prompts that contain your personal squicks, other appointments might.
