Well, as of this moment I am in a rather murky quandry of a situation. In terms of steampunk, Nikolai Tesla seems to be admired and or accepted. Well in subjugation to this, since Mr. Tesla was a purveyor of the radio type of technology, would a steam powered cb/ham radio be acceptable?

(plain english) In the world of SP would radio communications exist?

Well personally I'd say yes. Steampunk contains lots of mad science so surely someone could invent radio communications? It all depends on how you feel on the matter. I think that perhaps only certain people would have use of it, not your average Joe. I'm sure someone could even invent crazier ways to communicate, in fact that's caused some ideas to bubble up in my mind...

So anyway, yes, if you wish.

well I'd modify a cb radio to the looks of steampunkishness but... ive gotta check fcc regulations, id like to make one but... XP if the fcc finds it and declares it improper... however once I've finally obtained a ham radio licence it shouldnt be too bad... I hope xd supposedly hams have more fun

I don't see why cb/ham radios wouldn't exist in a steampunk world for military/broad communication. I would imagine that personal telephones (Like the ones Alexander Grahm Bell created) would exist for more personal communications.
