Background:
Dark was born inside a Magma lab on an island bordering Kanto. His parents were both high ranking members, both mentally powerful scientists. He was part of an experiment to create the ultimate soldier, part human part pokemon. His mother had a change of heart about the experiment when he was 3 and the two of them fled to Goldenrod, after Dark's mother cut off Dark's Larvitar tail. His father was killed in battle by his own team mates due to the fact he also wanted to halt the experiment.
When Dark was 7, he ran away from home since his mother had become abusive and paranoid. At the age of 10 Dark joined Magma, not knowing he already had a history with them. He quickly proved to be his parents child, taking over lab responsibilities and showing he had skill in the pokemon arena as well. He was trained brutally in the science and mechanics department. Any time he made an error he was severely punished, so he quickly learned biologic genetics and complicated mechanics. He later quit to join Aqua since the staffing was better and he felt he was under constant super-vision in Magma.
Dark went on to have many good experiences with Aqua before undergoing a special surgery he had planned, to become a Tyranitar Hybrid. To Dark's surprise he was easily compatible with Tyranitar DNA and the experiment went over smoothly, too smoothly. He went back to Magma with promises of high leadership and anything he wanted. He created massive towers that were able to dry up cities in a matter of days.
He had another change of heart and rejoined Team Aqua and thwarted his own evil plans.
He left Aqua after that for awhile before encountering himself from the future, Bangira. The two Dark's encountered their new clone, Daniel, and Dark vowed to stop her.
Bangira's last words to himself was, "Make sure Sammy's safe and she grows stong."
Now Dark is a permanent resident of Aqua, vowing to finally see all their problems out to the end.
After getting into a small dispute with Whitney, the two broke up. Dark now plans to devote most of his time to Aqua, no longer having a distraction.
He's now traversing Johto, taking a break from being an Aqua member and going back to being a regular Pokemon trainer. He decided to start off with a Charmander and is currently undergoing the Pokemon League Challenge.
