I've been thinking on this for a while now. I want to run a contest in the guild. I can afford a 10K prize, or smaller prizes together totaling 10K. The problem is deciding what kind of contest to run.
So, I like avi art...I thought about running an avi art contest, those are easy. Problem is that others seem to get intimidated by those and won't enter. And some don't have scanners or cameras to get the image on the computer. Not so fair if that is the case.
I could do an anime themed Tektek contest, I had a past one that was really successful last year. But a 10K prize then seems a little much.
So, any suggestions? Am I over thinking this?

I think avi art and tektek contests are both good ideas! And I can always back your contest with a little of my gold (as always) smile

I'd like to do a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize ideally. I'm going to earn some more gold so I can afford a 10k first prize and a 5k second prize and a 2.5k third prize. You give out so much gold already, skittlemaster, I'd rather not stretch you too thin. I think I'll be able to afford all the prizes for this round.
I just want to see what people here prefer for a contest before I set it up.
