Jaella ran along the sidewalk, humming along with her new Cuttlephones. She was SO excited! The babies had been born, and she'd talked Mama and Papa into letting her go visit them! She was so excited! She carried a tray of cupcakes, straight from Barton Grocery Store, as she jogged along. She hadn't taken into consideration whether the parents of said children would appreciate her stopping by, or whether they'd even be home. She hoped they were home, though.
She skidded to a stop in front of the house. Yep, this looked like it was the right place! She grinned, skipping up to the front door and knocking in tune with the music emanating from her cuttlephones.

Thali opened the door, and gave Jaella a friendly, though tired smile. "Hi," She said, her half-closed eyes eyes taking the girl, and the cupcakes in. "Would you like to come in?" She asked, ever the one to be polite.
In contrast, Ben frowned as he looked over his wife's shoulder. He was holding the twins, Sammi in one arm, Reiya in the other. He didn't look quite as tired as Thali did--though he was twice as cranky about it. "We have a guest?" He asked, looking at Thali. He handed the elf one of the infants. Sammi, however, had seen something more interesting.
"Kitty!" She cried, reaching for Jaella.

Jaella grinned. "Sure!" she chirped, ever chipper and happy. "Thank you, Mrs. Thali." she said, stepping into the house. "How have you guys been? It seems like forever and a day ago since I last saw you, like, when I brought the letter. Aww, are those the little bundles of joy? Mama said they were adorable, but oh my GOSH!" Jaella smiled, waving the little babies in question. Aww, how cute!
She smiled. "Here, trade." she said, offering the cupcakes in exchange for holding the infant. "I brought those for everybody; I hope you like them!" Again, another flash of smiling pearly-whites. She looked at the little tan one, giggling. "Let me guess.....Samantha, right?"

Thali nodded at the thanks, and smiled. "It's been.. different." She commented. "But in a good way. How about you, Jaella? Been taking letters to anyone?" She asked, curious. Maybe there would be more babies like hers soon--she hoped so. Then they would be able to make friends.
The elf handed her the infant, and took the cupcakes carefully. "Thank you." She said with a smile. "Yeah, that's Samantha. Be careful though, when she gets mad..." She paused, and grinned. "Sometimes she sets things on fire."
Sammi reached up, trying to grab Jaella's ears. "Kitty!" She told her. "Kitty."

"I've been fantastic!" Jaella said, grinning and then nodding excitedly. "Oh, yeah, I've been able to deliver a couple. In fact, I'll be delivering one over in Durem later this week. I wish I could take it today, but Mama said I have to wait." She looked disappointed over this, but only for a second before she smiled.
"No problem!" she said, grinning. She then widened her eyes, smiling a bit more. "That's totally awesome! I wish I had a totally cool power like that!" As far as Jaella was concerned, the whole "human GPS" thing wasn't cool enough to be considered a power. She held the baby, giggling as she grabbed her ear. "I'm not a kitty, silly." she said, laughing a little. "I'm a Jaella."

"Durem, hm?" Thali asked, curious. She knew people in Durem. Maybe it was one of them. "Do you know the name of the person recieving the letter?" She asked. Ben nudged her with his elbow.
"Don't be nosy." He scolded, though he too was curious. Thali stuck out her tongue at him, and he rolled his eyes. "As long as you don't bring us anymore letters." He said, teasing Jaella.
Sammi folded her arms, and frowned, looking remarkably like her father. "Kitty." She insisted. "Ooo Kitty."

Jaella nodded. "Yeah, I know who it's for." she said, grinning. She then giggled. "Don't worry, Ben. You shouldn't be expecting one for....a while." She grinned from ear to ear, then looked to the baby. "I'm not a kitty." she said, laughing. "I'm a Jaella, just like you're a Samantha." She nodded once, then hugged the infant. "Smile, baby?" It was obvious she had no experience with small children what so ever.

"Oooh, who?" Thali asked, before Ben could stop her. "You know, so if I know them I can get them a gift in advance." She explained. Oh, she hoped it was one of her friends.
Ben went pale, and looked to the girl. "I hope you're teasing." He muttered. "I don't think we could take anymore.." Not when it made Thali so tired--that made him worry.
Sammi took hold of Jaella's ears again. "Jae-ella." She tried. "Jae-ella Kitty!"

Jaella smiled, then leaned in to whisper the name. "But don't tell anyone else; it's a secret." she said, smiling. "And don't tell her, either. That's my job." She then looked to Ben, blinking in confusion. "Mama wouldn't give babies to you if you couldn't handle it." she said, not giving him a yes or a no. Personally, she'd love to say she was teasing, but with Mama.... But she trusted Mama's judgement; Mama knew best, after all.
She giggled, smiling at Sammi. "Alright. Jaella Kitty." she said, giggling as she bounced the baby lightly, her ears bobbing with the baby.

Thali had a huge grin on her face. "Of course." She nodded at Jaella. "The secret's safe with me." Oh, it was. It was too priceless--the idea of the look that would be on the girl's face when she found out--to give it away. She looked at Ben, and frowned. "Any child is welcome to stay with us." She said firmly.
Ben simply nodded. "I suppose we have to trust your mother's judgement then." He said. He hoped the girl's mother wouldn't give them another one--not for a long, long time.
Sammi smiled, glad the girl had taken her nickname. Her arms wrapped around the girl's head, and she hugged her as well as she could. "Jae-ella Kitty, 'uv ooo."

Jaella smiled. "Thanks." she said, nodding and taking note of the last part of that. "That'd be much appreciated. It's hard to find proper parents for us." Us, meaning all of them created through Mama's magic.
She then smiled at the baby, hugging the little one back. "Love ya too, sweetie!" she said, smiling. Aww, babies were so cute! She wanted one! She then looked over to Reiya, smiling at her. "Hey there, Rei!" she said, dubbing the girl with a nickname.

Thali nodded. "If you ever need a home for one, you know where to find us." She said, helpfully. Ben couldn't help glaring at his wife. Didn't she know how much worry her pregnancy had caused him? Didn't she know that seeing her half asleep all the time upset him? Was she doing this just to bother him?
Ben silently took Sammi from Jaella, and offered her Reiya. Sammi frowned at her father, and muttered something like, "Ooo nuh Kitty." The infant didn't sound too happy to be away from her 'Kitty'.
Reiya smiled at Jaella, her bright eyes checking her over before deciding she was safe.

Jaella smiled. "Thanks." she said. Ben's attitude towards it wasn't lot on her; ....he didn't like them? Oh well... She smiled down at Reiya, giggling lightly. "Hey there, Rei-Rei. How are you?" This baby was quiet....maybe she was just shy? Jaella could fix that! She was sure she could.

Thali nodded at Jaella. "Sure." She said, with a smile. She looked at Ben, who gave a small smile, and looked to the girl.
"Sure. If you are unable to find a home for a child--preferably a toddler, or older," He added before Thali could stop him, "They're always welcome."
Reiya stared at Jaella for a moment, and opened her mouth. She only had two teeth, and they were just growing in. Still, she took the older girl's hand, and bit it.

Jaella grinned, and was about to say something when two tiny teeth sunk into her hand. "Ow!" she cried out, almost dropping the infant. She kept her grip, though, and pulled her hand away. Tears welled up; yes, the teenage was about to cry. True, she was physically a teen, but mentally.... A small sniffle came from the girl, and she held the infant back out to one of the adults, murmuring something along the lines of "meanie".
