Updates 11/12/05 Updates and Map sections added. 12/14/05 So its been like a month, and I wonder where the characters are. So here is a sheet co-authored by Eroy to help make it easy. Check the Character section for the sheet and let me know when your ready to post, me or sizzla can unlock it. 12/26/05 If there is anything that one wants to contribute to the starting storyline, let me know, otherwise I'll just start w/ the three of you. 01/07/06 Map Update and Setting update. 02/03/06 Updated color code rules and colors for neutral npcs and Player list. Rules 1. When you roll a d20 and a d20 only, roll another d20. The first dice is the real roll while the second is a modifying roll. The modifying roll works as follows: On a roll of 1-10, add a -2 modifier to the natural d20 roll from the first dice. On a roll of 11-20, add a +2 modifier to the natural d20 roll from the first dice. This will increase the likely hood of a natural success and natural failure. This rule is only a test and is subject to change. Hopefully this will incite some dice love of sorts. 2. This small campaign will be ran under the rules of DND 3.5 with the exception of role 1. 3. Inorder to play, one must create a dnd character and post his stats in the character thread ASAP. Characters are to be 3rd level. 3a. Character creation will only be based soley on what is found in the PHB 3.5 for now. 3b. Post only your starting equipment. It is not necessary to post equipment that was awarded in treasure or bought after the game starts, as we will have plenty of documentation. If it hasn't appearred in a previous post, then you probably don't have it. If you want to post your new equipment, I leave that in your hands 4. Thing's that take place privately between player and DM can be done so naturally over PM, inwhich case, ill log it into a Xanil's Journal and keep that private. 5. Please post a mini description or back story for your character. 6. Friendly npc will be typed in green, Neutral in navy blue, and Hostile will be red.
more rules to come.

Setting The story takes place on a remote chain of islands whose creation resulted from Amira's destruction by the vampires. For all intensive purposes, this island chain will mirror Hawaii's geography, but not culture. The main island where you will start is Omaca, which also contains the biggest gathering of people, Kekum Town. Four of the islands are inter connected by bridges, while the others require boat trips or other means to visit. A variety of creatures, hostile and friendly, live in the area, but i will introduce them as we go. The leader of Kekum is ussually the oldest healthy male from Kekum and things are ran much more like a tribe than a city politically, though the islands are not barbaric. Occasionally, inter island warfare erupts as ussually the inhabitants of different islands become clan like organizations. These islands serve as a port between the continents of Mavos and Dalris.
The Day for a the Pool of Whirls draws near. Noone is certain just what this event will bring, just that it is marked by the aligning of stars and the splitting of the moon according to Historian Zarathustra. In conjunction with this event, many fortune and knowledge seeking groups have come to the islands hoping to gain.

Example Roll I attack with my rapier. Because the 2nd roll is equal to or higher than 11, i have a bonus +2 to my first roll of 16, making my true roll an 18 BEFORE I add any other character modifiers. Since I'm using a rapier, I also threaten a critical hit and need to roll another set of d20's with the same rule applying to see if my critical threat is a success. Questions? PM me.

At the Historian's home. Historian Zarathustra, "It seems that within the text, a possibility is revealed. Its likely that other possible ruins exist on other islands."He scratches his bald head."If Tanzer did indeed break the original book of prophecy, the other pieces could be anywhere, let us not forget that he ascended to the gods long ago." He points to the lowest left hand island on the map. "I'd recommend starting your search there."

"Now that I think about it, Im quite curious about that possibility." He turns to his daughter, "When we're done here with Mister Coud, I have a list of errands I need you to run for me, kiddo."

As Coud walks away. "If you do indeed find passage on a boat, allow me to know which it is, Ill pay for your information. It may be likely that you'll have to charter a full crew versus actually finding a boat going there." Watches Coud continue walking.

Coud walks briskly on the boardwalk breathing deeply in the salty air... His old stomping ground... it was all too familiar to spot the easy marks out today on the docks... but no time to make a quick sac o gold from some unsuspecting rube rolleyes (...well, if the opportunity presents it's self - I'd be amiss to decline *Coud thinks to himself...*) Down to business... Which "Old Salt" knows what I wanna know?
*Edit = Spot check is +2 Roll + 4 Skill = +6
