Well yesterday the voting results came in of what passed and what didn't. How do you feel about some of the results? Personally I am not happy with the results at all. neutral

I think that smoking initiative is the worst! Where are smokers supposed to go? I'm not a smoker but still! That's dumb.
The rest I don't really remember the results of. I want to know about that gas tax though. That one would be nice.

Last I saw neither I-330 or I-336 passed. Both seemed a bit too messed up to me, so I'm glad neither passed.

Last I heard, the smoking thing passed..Kinda unhappy about that. I don't like smoking, but they went a little extreme. Now all the smokers are concentrated in one place that I have to walk by on campus (though I think that was part of the plan anyways), and my sister may now be out of a job. They're closing the Chips in Bremerton most likely. They can't smoke there, so the owner decided to put more of his attention on the other Chips casionos. It kinda tipped the scales.

I'm happy about the smoking one. I know it will inconveinence people but I am a terrible asthmatic. I walk by a smoker and take one breath and I feel like I'm breathing through a coffee straw and I have to sit down or I will pass out. It gets so bad it is possible i could have died if I didn't take the albuterol, so I'm happy there will be less places to smoke

I think it's about time they did something about smoke in the restaurants. How many times have you gone into a Shari's and seen some mom puffing away with a 5 year old, a 2 month old, and a 10 year old? A few too many times. Maybe this will finally be the push to get people to quit smoking.
Aroma of Tacoma is bad enough as it is. rolleyes

I am VERY happy that the smoking ban was passed. I have my reasons. The monorail fell through, but I didn't see that actually happening any time. So, for the most part (minus the gas tax), I'm happy about the results.

Hi, don't be sad. Smoking is a health problem, hopefull the new law will encourage them to stop. I totally agree with Zombie, I also have similar feelings about mothers and fathers who let their infants wear slut clothes (high boots and mini skirts). It's disturbing to walk around a store and see some 2 year old with makeup on. Also, my bf has asthma, so his health is my business. Less smoke = healthier bf.
And as for the roads and the monorail. #1, one can only go so far to be "japanese/inovative/european". And don't whine about road construction. You ever been to Portland? I-5 is not a happy place, it's only 2 lanes one way, even at the I-205 junction.
