It was a cool afternoon full of breezes and fresh smells. Gogo was plopped down on her back next to her "husband's" ingredients, mouth open wide and eye staring blankly at the clouds. Wind occasionally rustled her fur and dried her eyes, but she let it pass, never once becoming annoyed with it.
To her left was the pile of ingredients. Idili'su didn't want her to touch those, that was for sure. But the only reason he didn't want her to touch them was because...If she did...
THEY WOULD EXPLODE!
"No~!" Gogo gasped quietly, arms flinching to clutch her body. She squinted her eyes shut tight, as if suddenly distraught. "Shishi is protecting me from the sharks~." she murmured quietly to herself, rolling to her feet. She shook her pelt, tail wriggling behind her as she did so. When she recovered from her shake, she blinked her wide eyes lazily, tilting her head.
Her white lion friend with the itty-bitty mane was sleeping on the other side of the ingredients. He didn't know she was there yet. But he would...He would...Because if he didn't wake up soon, the sharks would get him!
"How can I raise a child alone?!" the leopardess moaned to herself anxiously, casting her eyes to the heavens. Then without another thought, she pounced over the ingredients and landed on top of Idili'su.

"Hand me the fish eyes."
FLASH.
"Now...The feathers."
SPLOOSH.
"Excellent...Excellent..." the handsome, stunning, full-maned white lion ADULT muttered to himself, blue eyes scanning the potion hungrily. Yes, it was all going splendidly...Thanks to both his sheer skills, and his assistant's helpfulness. She was a great assistant, lithe and beautiful, always knowing exactly how to help him in the best ways. She was the only creature he spoke to more than twice a day, and someone he could consider a true confidant and friend.
Turning his head with an assured smile, the lion gazed upon this assistant. She was--
His eyes bulged.
"HI, SHISHI~!" came the excited cry.
"GOGO?!" Idili'su screamed in horror, strangely feeling the air get knocked out of him. "NOOOOOO~!"
The juvenile jerked awake, letting out a gasp as he did so. To his absolute shock and terror, Gogo was on top of him, letting all her full, fat weight squish his lungs. AND...AND...OH GODS. She was brushing his hair tuft with her claws.
"WHAT. ARE. YOU. DOING?!" the lion wheezed sharply, eyes bulging out of his head.

Gogo continued brushing the male's hair softly, her expression showing just how absorbed she was in her task.
"Shark-proofing." she stated calmly, not at all showing signs of fear at how livid her BESTEST FRIEND was. "'cause if I don't shark-proof your hair, the sharkies will get you, and then our child will be father-less, and I'll be an old widow, and the sharks...Um, um, the sharks will eat us." she explained, continuing to brush the bright red hair with her dark claws.
A strange, brown substance coated the leopardess's claws, and it was creating dark highlights in the male's hair. If one had to guess, one would say it was most likely mud. How mud could work as a shark-proofing device, no one could say. Then again, no one could say why Gogo was afraid of a shark attack when they were hundreds of miles away from the ocean. But that was Gogo. She lived to create stories, and lived in said stories quite well. She did as she pleased, and was pleased when she did. That was just how she was.
After a few more strokes, she jumped off her friend, stepping backwards. She looked down at his seething face, letting a smile cross her maw.
"You can shark-proof me now?" she asked, almost like a suggestion.

This was not. Happening.
No.
She wasn't there right now.
There wasn't MUD in his hair.
In fact, he was still dreaming, too. OF COURSE! He was still dreaming! A-ha~, of course, of course...He would just close his eyes--he did so--, and then open them again, and she would be gone! He would wake up. Why hadn't he thought of that sooner? What a silly juvenile he was.
Idili'su opened his eyes.
Two bright golden eyes stared down at him.
He twitched.
Then he twisted his face into a snarl and rolled to his feet, standing up. White hair bristled on his small back.
"LEAVE!" he commanded, young voice straining to achieve the loudness he was aiming for. "I told you I never wanted to thee you AGAIN!"
And it was true. He had told her that. But she kept coming back. She would come every day. Didn't she have a FAMILY? Why was she always after him? She was absolutely crazy. And not only was she visiting him in real life every day, she was also starting to appear in his DREAMS.
WHEN WOULD THE NIGHTMARE END?!

Gogo grinned, white teeth flashing ear to ear. She had a large jaw, and it was clear she had a bit of an under-bite.
Stumbling away from "Shishi", the chubby leopardess pounced in a puddle of mud and proceeded to roll around in it.
"This is how you shark-proof, Shishi!" she said loudly, mud splashing all over the place. She got good and drenched until the only white that was left to be seen was on her face. Then she stepped out of the puddle and stomped over to Idili'su, mud dripping from her body.
"I'm better shark-proofed than you," she said, spitting her tongue out. Then she stared. Her eyes widened and she stared. And stared. And stared.
THEN...
"SHISHI!" she screamed, her blood-curdling cry echoing through the trees.
"THERE'S A SHARK ON YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
Then she promptly tackled him into the mud puddle.

"YOU---YOU--" the juvenile stammered. He had snapped. He was livid with rage, twitching at length and unable to stop his jaw from shuddering and stammering as he failed time and again to summon the right words to describe his complete and utter disbelief at what had just taken place.
"YOU'RE CRAZY!" he finally screamed, mud flying out of his mouth. His white fur had turned brown, and his red mane had taken on a strange shade of purple as the brown mixed with it. But he wasn't mad about his appearance. He was just mad. Mad at this crazy leopard cub who continued to ruin his life every. Single. DAY.
Who WAS she? WHY did she pick him to be the object of her TORTURE?
He would never be happy until he was rid of her. Unfortunately, he didn't know when that would be. He currently lived with his family. He was young and couldn't go off by himself, of course. Then again, neither could Gogo. But where was her family? Surely she had one. She spoke of them often enough. UNLESS...She had made them all up like the rest of her crazy stories?! But what did that have to do with him, if that was the case? She should just go...DIE or something! Die and leave him alone to work on his experiments!
Idili'su sprang to his feet, throwing the cub off of him (which was quite a feat, considering she wasn't the skinniest of cubs). He jumped on top of the fallen cub, pinning her with his muddied paws. He threw his face close to hers, teeth bared and mud-covered face dripping on her mud-covered face.
HER? His lovely assistant? PLEASE. No. GODS no.
"I am THICK...of your GAMETH." he hissed sharply. "I'll give you to the count of three to get OUT of here. Otherwithe..." and he let his last word fade so she could guess his angry intentions, blue eyes showing how serious he was.
"ONE..." he started darkly.

"Na na na~!" Gogo sang as she frolicked away, tail bouncing behind her. There was a cub-like, crooked smile on her face as she bounded away, as if she were focused on a game. In fact, that's what she decided she was playing; a game.
"I love hide and seek!" she gurgled, nearly running into a tree. She spun in a circle, moved away from the tree, and continued on her way like a drunkard. When she felt she was a good enough distance away, she threw herself to the ground behind an old, rotted log and hunkered down. Her gold eyes glowed in the shadows of the thicket, gazing out to the open at the one who was "it".
It seemed Idili'su was calming down, perhaps not believing she had gone at first. But then he wandered away, moving back to his ingredients. He sat down and looked a bit like a haggard old man who had just had an argument with some darn nasty kids who had screwed up his lawn.
"Poor Shishi~," Gogo remarked softly, frowning. But not to worry. The game would cheer him up.

Ugh...
Finally...
Letting out a loud, harsh sigh, Idili'su made his way over to his precious stock of ingredients, looked them over for a moment as if checking for damages, and then sat down. He sneered at the mud covering his body, lifting an arm to get a better look at the extent of coverage.
He was soaked in the filth...Ughhhh...
That crazy leopard cub. He hoped he never saw her AGAIN! He never thought she'd actually listen to him and leave, though. That was more than unexpected, but a WELCOME occurrence. He stepped a bit away from his precious things and shook himself, mud splattering all around him. The shaking didn't do enough to clean him properly, but it got rid of the excess, at least...Now to find some water.
Before he could move another step, the horrific happened.

Gogo put a paw to her lips, an old lady-like "HO HO HO" emitting from her mouth. She narrowed her eyes, crooked smile taking over her muddy face. Hide and Seek really was a fun game. Especially when you were "it". In this case...
Gogo was it.
YES, she had shifted the roles.
ERR--, nooo, no, she had ALWAYS been "it". Yep yep.
Gold eyes locked on their target. Her smile faded. She bent down into a stalking posture.
And suddenly, she was the shark.
She moved through the thicket like a pro, chubby body swaying back and forth silently with her movement. She sped through a patch of dead grass, then through an old log, then around some trees. THEN she saw her chance. Idili'su was wide open. IT WAS THE PERFECT TIME TO STRIKE!
"Come on, sharky soldiers," Gogo whispered to herself, eyes flickering over the juvenile's form in the distance. "No time to lose!"
The cub chose that time to jump out of her hiding spot and run straight for her target. She was faster than she looked, stocky legs gripping the ground and hurdling her forward with every leap, until finally she was upon the lion, their bodies slamming into each other and rolling right back into the mud.
"TAG!" Gogo shouted, before she was face-down and gurgling in mud.

There was a blur of brown and more brown, and the juvenile found himself drowning in mud once again, a chubby leopard cub flailing on top of him. She rolled off, thankfully, and he heard her gurgling in the mud, thick bubbles popping on the surface.
Idili'su merely lied there on his side, half of his face suctioned in the mud puddle. He stared at what was visible of Gogo, face blank and body unmoving. He just stared. Maybe he had snapped beyond the point of all reason? Maybe he had passed out? Maybe he was plotting ways to kill her? It was all every unclear.
But then, finally, he moved. He stood up. Without bothering to shake any of the thick, dark mud off, the juvenile turned around, and walked away. He kept walking. Past Gogo, past his ingredients, past the thicket, past everything. He just walked off.
GODS HELP HIM IF SHE FOLLOWED.

After blowing several more bubbles in the mud, Gogo's oxygen was wearing thin. She went to gasp, but inhaled a bit of mud before she popped her head out of the mud. She coughed loudly, choking, sputtering, coughing, choking up the mud out of her throat. She scraped to her feet, body vibrating as she let out violent coughs. She spit several times, strings of drool dripping from her muddy jaw. When she recovered, she found she was alone.
She blinked.
"Shishi~?" she called quietly, looking around. Her ears pointed straight up, then flicked to the sides, then pointed up again. She couldn't hear him, or see h--...Hmmm~?
Gold eyes shifted to look down at the grass, something catching her attention.
Muddy paw prints.
The cub grinned happily, tail swaying. And so she took off after the muddy tracks.
Together forever, Shishi.
