i'd rather do regular reports than work on a tax project x'D. i'm in a tax class so we have to fill out several forms on the 1040 with itemized deductions, dividends, AMT, self employment forms, state tax forms *head desk*. i still need to work on the AMT and state tax. it's the AMT that scares me the most since the teacher kept saying it's too difficult to do by hand.

i think if you miscalculated something, they mail you and tell you what you need to owe without any penalties. there are certain situations where you're heavily penalized.
though that's true, would be nice if we could maybe get forms for each of the items with barcodes, maybe scan the barcodes and it auto inserts the items into the tax forms >w<. no need for messy tax preparation lolol x'D

i'd rather leave all those things to the people who knows what they're doing. the other time i did it, i used a wrong percentage >.<

personally i think the corporate tax is easier x'D. it's just that you have to fill in a lot more stuff but the majority of it is already handed to you in the corporate accounting records, so it's more straight forward than the individual income tax. individual income tax preparation requires umpteen different percentages, more specific rules on what's to be included or excluded, and...it's just a mess D;.

thats why i said i'd rather leave those things to others. but i guess later in a few years, i will be one of those 'others'. individual tax income is obviously a mess. i wished they make some shortcuts in between. like maybe fixed calculations or something.
